It ended up being a much better option: the staff was lovely, the bar and restaurant was great, and the rooms were nice and comfortable for what we needed. "A beautiful, quiet guesthouse, very nicely furnished and very clean and comfortable. Received a very warm welcome and a breakfast menu for the following morning, on arrival. Made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was 5* and was enjoyed in a quiet and comfortable dining room with mountain views, an excellent start to the day. Will be sure to visit again and will be recommending to others in future. Thank you very much."

"The hotel was lovely; the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing. The common rooms were very nice and welcoming. The staff was professional, gracious and friendly. We spent a lovely cocktail hour in the lounge and enjoyed delicious custom cocktails. Dinner and breakfast were first rate! Local foods, creatively prepared. We went for an afternoon hike along the canal, which was easy to access from the property. Highly recommend this property."

"Really nice apartment right in the middle of town. Very comfortable beds and lovely cosy lounge. The kitchen area is also very tidy with all you need to cook for your family. Would definitely stay here again. Only slight downside is the noise from the flats above and below, but this was daytime only noise. We slept very well. Overall very enjoyable stay. "
