"Always a a good stay with comfortable rooms, helpful staff, and nice food, including excellent breakfast. I would like the bar, restaurant menu to vary though as it has been the same for the many times I have stayed in the last few months. "

"The hotel is easy to find, and ideally located for visiting Beamish Museum. It is very attractive, and the bar and restaurant areas have great views westwards over the valley. Each ground floor room has its own car parking slot - wonderful! The staff are friendly and helpful, and a small bonus for me, the malt whisky is cheaper than the pub down the road .... I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area, there was nothing I did not like."

"Lovely clean,comfortable room and bed. Good food in lovely bar restaurant. Friendly staff including Malcolm, the owner. Will be back soon and highly recommend this hotel. Plenty of pubs,restaurants shops in walking distance. Ample free parking a bonus too. "

"My first visit to this hotel. Very impressed friendly staff and excellent facilities. Only minor issue, the windows only have blinds, these do not effectively block out the light so awake quite early. On the whole excellent."

"Our room was huge, it was an amazing stay in a castle. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Food was delicious and fit for a king. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. We loved our stay at Walworth Castle."

"Lovely clean room and very comfy bed. Plenty tea and coffee in the room and towels. We were in room 2 which has its own decking terrace. The main car park is at the back of the hotel and there are a couple of spaces at the front too but both sides have very close access. We had the full English breakfast both mornings which is not included in the booking price but worth every penny. It really set us up for the day. "It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish. I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. "

"There was an issue with my original room, nothing major. I was happy for it to be rectified but the check in staff immediately moved me to better room. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was very good, both dinner and breakfast. Would stay here again. "
