"The property is a mini animal sanctuary, with many agouti running around and sloths hanging in the trees. Many birds and frogs and even a kinkajou, although hard to spot. The hosts are very nice and helpful, Marise will make sure you and comfortable and Pierre will tell you all about the wildlife. The room is clean and comfortable, although there is no AC, so keep that in mind. "It’s a family run business and the owner was super nice and helpful , the property was peaceful , the only noise was the wild animals on the property like howler monkeys and lots of exotic bird species , the owner prepared a papaya from the tree right in front of our room , it was delicious. I would recommend this property for people that want a truly Costa Rican experience without all the crowds of the towns . Loved our stay at Casa Conley 10 out of 10 , can’t wait to visit again ✌"

"Our stay at Samasati was very relaxing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was so beautiful - we saw so much wildlife and loved falling asleep to the sound of rain on the roof and waking up with the birds and monkeys. I love that it was removed from the fast pace of the road and beaches, but close enough to spend the day out and about. "

"Its a standard hotel with nice location nearby the Main Street of Puerto Viejo, but away enough from the noise. If you are going to arrive after 8pm, u must advise the staff, because there s no one in the front desk after that time. Bedroom itself is just fine. Water from the shower it was a issue, because it had no pressure. Other than that, I would stay again!"

"We felt so lucky to have this beautiful home to return to after a day at the beach or hiking! The outdoor shower is ingenious, pool was refreshing, and the yard is plant paradise. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning in the bedrooms was so wonderful at night. We loved spending time cooking outside and listening to the geckos at night. Great communication with the property management company as well. Would absolutely recommend!"

The first thing you see coming in the gate is the lush & gorgeous tropical landscape - all the greens with pops of color from the flowers - even cacao pods! "Wenn man sich auf das Abenteuer ein indigenes Volk zu besuchen einlässt, muss man sich natürlich auf Einfachheit einstellen. Man schläft auf abgenutzten Matratzen und die sanitären Anlagen haben schon lange keine Reinigung erlebt. Trotzdem war es eine und interessante und informative Zeit. Alle waren sehr gastfreundlich und herzlich, Wir wurden wunderbar bekocht, und man bemühte sich uns vieles zu erklären. Von daher ein unvergessliches Abenteuer."

"El trato del personal ha sido excepcional! Las instalaciones están un poco descuidadas. Son cabañas humildes pero tienen lo necesario (cama, ducha y toallas) y se llega andando al pueblo en poco más de 5min. El desayuno muy rico. El lugar estaba prácticamente vacío, por lo que los animales se acercaban y pudimos ver monos y un perezoso, el momento Estrella de nuestro viaje! "
