"Clean"

"We were disappointed in the hot tub and did not use it. The water was cloudy. I didn't bother contacting the host about it because we wouldn't have felt comfortable using it after that. The water inside the cabin smelled, I do realize it was well water. The access to the goats was not good, there was what we thought was another rental behind us and we didn't want to disturb them. Sweet cat and kitten came to visit. The cottage was cute but needed some maintenance."

"This was our third time staying at Avenwood. We enjoyed the first 2 stays but the third was not good. There was a power outage that went on all night. Due to the power outage there was a beeping noise that was not the smoke detector that just kept beeping and we couldn’t stop it. It disrupted our sleep and our all around relaxation. "Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a good selection of breakfast items. Staff was friendly and helpful as well."

"Friendly staff. Narrow, humid halls, awkward transition going up to second floor with doors and stairs and no apparent elevator. We won’t be back."

"Good price for the room. It was a non-smoking room but smelled like smoke, make sure to check the covers our top comforter was dirty. For me not enough non-dairy choices."
