"Communication with the host was easy and efficient. Cabin was pretty much what we expected, we were traveling with 2 dogs, so the cabin worked out well for them. We've never stayed at a vrbo before, so weren't sure what to expect, but were a bit put off by the "binder" on the table with instructions on how to care for the cabin. We've always been clean and well behaved guests anywhere we've stayed, but to have an outline of what was expected and how to clean up after ourselves and directions on...

"We have a service dog for my husband. This property was the perfect site for all of us. Deer and Turkey in the yard. It was a perfect vacation. Our cabin was spotless. My only suggestion would be directions for using the TV remote."

"The cabin and the property were perfect. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with, and checked in with us often to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. My husband and I were visiting to ride our bicycles on the Mickelson trail with a group of friends who stayed in nearby hotels. They wished they had known about Elk Haven Cabins because they would have chosen the cabins instead of a hotel room! Thank you very much Kris and Beth. We hope to return!"

"Quiet, comfortable hotel. One thing I didn't realize about residential hotels is that most of the guests are there for an extended period of time so in general they will be quieter than guests at other hotels. In addition, there will be fewer children around. Excellent breakfast every morning in a clean breakfast room."

"Why not stay the night in a cute little cabin with a wide porch in the woods instead of a standard hotel? The staff is super nice and helpful, and our room is clean and comfortable. We had a picnic on the porch after our tour of Mount Rushmore which is only 4 miles away. Highly recommended!"
