Beautiful home with plenty of space!
Felt like home, we could all fit at the table for meals & games. The filtered view of the lake and bird song in the morning were spectacular! The vaulted wood panel ceilings were incredible and the kitchen, bedroom restroom situations were more than adequate. The management was perfect and we would definitely recommend this amazing home. We wish we knew and were disappointed the lake was too full for our fam to access the private beach. Also, the grandkids didn’t like the feathers poking out of the couch. Great family vacation!

Thank you! The Lake Tahoe area had a record breaking winter. We are very fortunate to have all the water after the drought leaving a narrow beach for your enjoyment. We cannot control Mother Nature.

Home away from home
We had an amazing time at Lake Tahoe. This house was the perfect home base as it is situated near everything including an amazing private beach a short 2-3min walk down the road. Seriously, the lake is visible from the drive way and is only a short downhill walk. There was more than enough space for 4 adults. The house was incredibly clean, quiet, and cozy. Well stocked kitchen and spacious rooms. The view from the dinning room/patio deck was a wonderful surprise. Judi was extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful when it came to house questions. I can not say enough good things about the overall experience and home. 10/10!

Cozy Thanksgiving Stay
Very beautiful and spacious home. Short drive to the grocery store and casino area. Easy walk to a private beach area that is very nice. Comfy beds and a nice little deck to sit out on. The fireplace in the front room is also very nice. Owner is very attentive and responsive. Would highly recommend.

Fall weekend
We had a wonderful stay at this perfect house. It is exactly as described, well equipped and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the lake through the trees. It's a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach and there's easy access to restaurants and hiking nearby. The owner checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and communication throughout the process was seamless. We will be back!

Beautiful & functional property 5 minute walk from Lake Tahoe
This Marla Bay home is a gem - it is nice & liveable... There is ample living space, & the deck off the dining room is delightful. Lots of amenities included in the home & it's only a 5 minute walk from Lake Tahoe & the private (accessible to guests) beach. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. We would definitely want to come back to this beautiful spot.

Awesome Place to Stay!
Absolutely loved this place. The pictiures don't do it justice as it seemed even better in person. It was so easy to reserve and all the instructions were well thought out and simple. The location was perfect - close enough to get everywhere and quiet & peaceful enough to chill. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The private beach was a definite plus as we saw other beaches that were way too crowded. Neighbors are friendly and we had no issues or concerns while we stayed. Host was very responsive when I asked about trash day (I just wanted to make sure I got the instructions correct). I would definitely book here again when we make it back to Tahoe!

Loved the house and location
We were in town for a family wedding at Genoa Golf course: Loved the house and location with a short walk to the beach. The house was very clean with a beautiful view of the lake from the upstairs deck to enjoy our morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. We had plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 2 children. The kitchen was well equipped. It was nice to have a large dining room table and living area that was comfortable for the whole family. . Judi was wonderful from the initial reservation and made sure we had everything we needed once we arrived.

The perfect vacation home
This property was exactly as advertised. We visited during late Spring (after the snow) and it was the perfect location for us. We immediately felt "at home" in this spacious, well appointed and meticulously clean home. Marla Bay is lovely for strolls and feels secluded with its private beach access. The owner promptly answered our questions and even arranged for a late check-out which we immensely appreciated. Will definitely book again should we find ourselves visiting Tahoe in the future.

Clean, beautiful view, great beach
We very much enjoyed our stay in this Marla Bay home. One thing to know is bring everything you will need to cook with you, including coffee, oil, salt and pepper. Otherwise the kitchen has everything you need to make great meals. The beach is absolutely lovely!

A very accurately listed property on VRBO. Well-maintained and very clean. There are more "house rules" than the usual stay, but the property is better for it. Located on the lake and convenient to the town of South Lake Tahoe.

Clean and well stocked
This was by far the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. It made us feel so comfortable during our stay. The kitchen is very well stocked and made cooking for our large group very easy. The host, Judith, was great with communication and checking in on us. Enjoyed nice lake views from the deck. Private beach down the street was great! Water is shallow, so it was perfect for kids. The only thing that would have been nice to have would be fans in each of the rooms. With some smoky days from the fires and not being able to open windows for air flow it did get hot in the house. This would not have been an issue though had the air been clear enough to keep the windows open. I would recommend this home to anyone and will be back for sure!

Incredible Location/Attentive Host
We had a great stay at this property. 3 min walk to the private beach and beautiful lake view from the balcony of the residence. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again. The neighborhood is very friendly. Judith was easy to reach and checked in on us mid stay to ensure we had no needs. Great place!

Comfortable home in a great location for kids
My family and I stayed here (a group of 6) for a week. The house in very conveniently located in the Marla Bay community with a private community beach that never got overly busy and the bay was perfect for kids. The house itself was equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely home, peaceful neighborhood
The neighborhood is a jewel. Neighbors are friendly and quiet, house is situated that you can see the lake. Downstairs bedrooms are cooler for those of you that can't deal with heat in the summer. 2 block walk downhill to the private beach. Host and manager most accommodating. Across the highway is a good place to eat as well, Blue Tavern, great fish tacos!

A wonderful place to stay
This house has to be the cleanest house around lake Tahoe. We've stayed in many vrbo homes and this is by far the best. The house is layed out well, and the owner has thought of everything. Anytime we needed something we looked and found it. The location is great, just a short drive to safeway, restraunts, casinos, and shopping. The owner is great, very responsive to questions and we really felt they cared about us enjoying our stay. I highly recommed this property.

Great Location
The location of the property was amazing. Right near all the beautiful scenic views. we were able to walk down to the lake and enjoy a nice quiet sunrise and sunset! 100% recommend the place.

Cleanest and nicest maintained house we have ever stayed in
We (family of 4 with 2 boys) had a wonderful time. We have stayed at VRBOs for over a decade in multiple countries and all over the US and I can say with absolute certainty this is the cleanest and most well maintained house we've ever stayed at. The devil is in the details and even things like the blinds were in great shape and did not have a speck of dust on them. Also, the house had everything you could need. And the owner was really nice and contacted us several times to see if we needed anything. Location was also great. We skiied at Heavenly, and both the CA and NV side were less than 15 min away. You can walk down to the beach in 3-5 min, which was really nice one afternoon. All in all, a great week!

Beautiful Tahoe Getaway
The house is so clean and well designed. It was exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway. Especially loved the fireplace which made the experience all the cozier.

Family trip
Very quiet comfortable neighborhood. Very short walk to the lake private beach. The Wi-Fi was garbage besides that it was a very pleasant experience

Very clean house great location

We loved our stay at this house. Wonderful location, and VERY clean. Judi was quick to respond to any questions. We lucked out with beautiful warm weather in October and utilized the access to the private beach. We’d definitely return.

Perfect
We chose this house because it had enough room for everyone. It had a good view of lake Tahoe and was quiet. Judi was a great host and communicated well. The only problem we had was A/C wasn't working great. It wouldn't go below 73. Which is probably fine for most people. We would stay here again.

Hi Sarah Thank you for the nice review. You had wonderful unseasonably warm fall weather for Tahoe Wish you would have asked about A/C as there is none. The house has hydronic heating which is zoned controlled. The thermostats just needed to be turned down. Thank you again Judi

Amazing House and Great Host
Our stay at this home was amazing. Our host prior to our arrival was so attentive and informative regarding the fires and the overal condition of Lake Tahoe. The house so very clean and very organized. It was a 5 min walk to Maral Bay. The grounds were amazing and we enjoy the peaceful of the city. I would definitely recommend staying at this location and the host made things so easy and enjoyable. She made sure to check on us during the trip and gave instructions on using devices around the house. You will not be disappointed!

Lovely home near the Lake
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home over Labor Day Weekend. I love to cook and this home had everything I needed to feed all 8 of us! The beds were very comfortable, large dining room table for meals and playing games and a large cozy family room. We would love to come back again!

A Tahoe Gem!
This beautiful home has it all! Comfort, space, amenities, and cleanliness! Everything is provided. All you need to do is pack your suitcase. The huge top floor master suite is something special with its oversized jetted tub, separate, shower, dual sinks, walk in closets, (all 4 bedrooms have walk in closets), and comfortable king bed. The spaciousness of the home accommodates many for dining or just relaxing in the open comfortable living room. The owners are friendly and accommodating. This is a real find; don't let it get away!

A Peek Of Lake Tahoe
Lovely home, perfect for Grandparents adult children and small grandchildren six of us. The home is extremely clean. kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. Lovely balcony with a peek of Tahoe. Very relaxing, short two block walk takes you to a small private beach the kids loved it. Judy the owner was easy to communicate with answered all questions promptly and kept us informed every step of the way wonderful to work with. We enjoyed the home close to Zephyr Cove lots of fun.

Great Home for Thanksgiving And Other Plans
We spent Thanksgiving at this home and it suited our needs very well. The house has a large common area for socializing, reading, or watching TV. We found that the kitchen was well stocked with most of the items we needed for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. The entire home is indeed immaculately clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries in every bathroom. The master bedroom and bathroom are enormous and as spotless as the rest of the house. The house contains a closet full of games and puzzles for ages and enough space for everyone to do their own thing. There is a beautiful beach a block away, Heavenly Valley a few miles away, and S. Lake Tahoe attractions as well. When we notified the owner that we unfortunately broke one of the house rules, she was very communicative and reasonable in her response. In summary, this is a wonderful home with conscientious and responsive owners. We would rent this home again.

Lovely Home
