Walkable Area!
Nice little house with a great yard!! So close to everything! Bonus brand new dog park one block away! Also great to have a driveway for dedicated parking!

Tiny house
We loved our time in the Tiny house. The location is the best! Walking distance to downtowns and the UofA campus. Neighbors are friendly. We managed to find several hiking trails within a 30 minute drive. Tyson is a great host, answering all questions and making sure we had a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Great Location and Surprisingly Spacious
The property offers a lot. Off street parking, comfortable front room, comfortable bed, a rear room that I used for remote work (1 day), and the bonus was a spacious backyard. Walk or bike to downtown or the university. Access to the light rail is super easy. Highly recommend.

Perfect Location-Tour de Tucson
Clean, quaint property located in downtown. Great neighborhood, very walkable and felt safe. We were in town for the Tour de Tucson and the location was perfect. Plenty of places to eat, grab a coffee or grocery shop. Appreciate the well appointed kitchen, particularly the grill. Very relaxing and private patio.

Perfect!
A great spot for my wife and I on a weekend visit to our son who is a university of Arizona student. He lives on the west side of campus and this location was nice and close. The house is just as advertised and we really enjoyed the back yard area where we had a fire in the fire pit and a nice grilled dinner on the gas grill.

Repeat customer!
I have 2 kids at UA and this home is located very close to campus, yet it is still a quiet neighborhood. Cozy accommodations, nice linens, and Tyson is extremely responsive. The backyard is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Will be back again!

Iron Horse Stay in Tucson
Everything was as promised. We got in a little early and Tyson was gracious enough to get get back to us very promptly and let us get in a couple hours early as everything was ready to go. We love the location and the easy access to town (Congress-4th St etc).

Great little house!
Very clean and a perfect little space for a couple's getaway. The back yard is fully enclosed for a very private little oasis. 10/10 - would stay again!

Fabulous
We loved staying here. Perfect location for us to walk everywhere. Great neighbors and we felt very safe Host was responsive to all questions. And helped us figure out what we needed We enjoyed listening to the trains ! We're coming back 2024

Iron Horse Getaway
This house is in the perfect location for trips around the Tucson area. Besides the train the neighborhood is very quiet and you hardly feel like you are in such an urban area. Some of the best restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. If I had to live in Tucson, I would live in Iron Horse.

A perfect central location for family weekend
The house was clean, well appointed and very conveniently located. Tyson was responsive and gracious when my gps was not cooperating and I ended up on the wrong block. Comfortable bed and furniture, fresh linens, and the backyard was my absolute favorite, a perfect morning coffee oasis! As a single female staying alone, I felt completely safe in the neighborhood and slept well every night. Will definitely be back!!

Worth a visit
Beautiful little getaway right next to downtown Tucson. even though it’s right next to downtown still feels very private and. Cute little house with an adorable backyard definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a place to stay in downtown Tucson.

Great place!
I stayed here while in town to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from U of A. The house was wonderful, close to campus, clean, safe and the back yard was lovely. I would highly recommend this house!

wonderful stay!!
the place was small but nice and was very clean..Had everything I needed. LOVED the backyard...it was private and quiet and had a lot of sunshine.. Wished it had a couple of loungers though.

Pleasant stay
This is our third stay, and we remain pleased with it. Great location walkable to much that central Tucson has to offer. The owner has made significant improvements since we first visited.

We enjoy the central location of this property-walkable to varied venues, including quality coffee (Presta on 9th st and 3rd Ave), a great bookstore (Antigone), the Coop Grocery, Time Market, the campus, quality food venues, and more.

Convenient location
This property is half a mile from the University shops and restaurants in one direction and half a mile to the 4th ave shops and restaurants in the other (very walkable), loved the patio and fire pit, nice neighbors, enjoyed seeing the military planes fly over nearly every day (never too early or late) and the neighborhood is quiet (except for the music I could hear from the patio most evenings, which I really enjoyed). The bed was very uncomfortable, but Ty is going to replace. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your review and staying at the cottage Kelly. Thank you for sharing about the mattress. I’ve ordered a new Tuft and Needle mattress that just arrived and will be replacing it to maximize the comfort of future guests.

In the heart of historical Tucson
We loved the walkability of this home. The University of Arizona is close by, as well as the downtown and 4th Avenue area. The fenced-in back yard and gas grill were wonderful.

A perfect stay
Stayed here for a full month in the summer of Tucson. This home is extremely comfortable and charming. All items you need for an extended stay is here. The AC runs cold...this was important as I recently had Achilles heal surgery and staying here recovering proved very helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and close to anything you need. Strong WiFi, washer/dryer and perfect for us comprised of 2 adults and 2 dogs. The backyard is fenced in w a covered porch and grill. We highly recommend this home and would definitely stay here again!

I really, really loved this home. So much character. Convenient drive to everything. The owner tried very hard to provide necessities in the home. The back yard was very quiet and quaint. The home felt very serene and safe. The biggest problem with the home Is the condition of the area around it. The two blocks around it are nice. But the park and bike path near by was filled with homeless and questionable characters. A few blocks away is many bars, tattoo parlors, and many homeless. I felt unsafe walking alone with my dog. I tried multiple directions but never found a path I felt ok with. Then I found if I just walk small circles staying in the iron horse historical area I was good. :) I know my son would totally disagree with me. He would have felt it was totally fine, as he lives in a city with similar situations and is totally comfortable. Would I stay again at this house? Yes, absolutely. I loved the home and it’s immediate area. They were quaint and safe. I just wouldn’t walk distances without someone with me.

Cute place with everything I needed
The central location was perfect for me, and the kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean, with nice décor. I loved having off-street parking, washer / dryer, cable TV, a bath tub, and remote-controlled HVAC that I could adjust without getting out of bed. ;-) Note that the bathroom and sunroom / sofabed are both accessed through the bedroom; that may or may not work for sharing the space with other guests, depending on how much privacy you like to have. The weather was too chilly for me to enjoy the back yard, but it looked neat & tidy -- it would be a nice place to hang out on a warm day. I occasionally heard (or felt) the rumble of a train, but it was never disruptive and it was distant enough that it never woke me up. I would definitely stay here again.

This residence was cleaned . It had everything we needed,
We were there for the Tucson rock and gem show so we did not spend much time there. But the bed was comfortable the kitchen was enough to get breakfast and plenty of room for our needs. It had a sweet back sitting area For morning coffee.

A pleasant stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our one month stay. Very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Good location, walkable to restaurants, coffee, the Co-op, the University and more. We would choose this place again, and probably will. (We were told by locals that the nearby railroad tracks might present a noise problem, but that was not the case.)

Comfortable, clean, convenient, quiet, pleasant space, was great for a downtown and UofA visit
We stayed 4 nights during family weekend. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the outdoor space, both in the back yard, and moving a couple chairs to the front, the front yard as well! Easy self-checkin, and Tyson was responsive with my communications. Convenient parking spot, small but workable kitchen which we used for cereal breakfasts only, bathroom was clean (needs a few tweaks which Tyson said he'd take care of for future guests), plenty spacious for our crew of 3, but then our UofA son decided to stay with us, so crew of 4. Very good value, I'd stay here again!

Good Space in Walkable Location /Stayed 2 weeks in April 2018
I stayed 2 weeks at the Historic Cottage. The Pros: The space was clean and spacious for 2 people and could easily fit a couple more guests. Everything you would need for a stay was available. The off street parking was a plus since in the daytime the street is lined with high school student cars. Other than a distant train horn the unit is quiet. The complete kitchen was updated and contained everything you might need to prepare a meal. Tyson was easily accessible by phone. The Cons: I like to enjoy an outdoor area on a warm Arizona evening or morning, but the backyard area was unattractive and needed an overhaul. It contained broken yard furniture, a broken fence, and an eyesore shed. This really was a downer for me. The location is great or just ok depending on what you want. 4th ave., Congress, and University are all within easy walking. If you are 20 something years old and like to drink beer and party it is only minutes away. Those streets are lined with numerous bars catering to the young crowd and mostly restaurants serving bar food. If you are looking for a good selection of better restaurants to enjoy a quality meal and a glass of wine this area has slim pickings. Overall: Clean, spacious unit. Quiet neighborhood. Backyard in major need of repair. Location is within walking to Congress, 4th Ave., and University and provides an opportunity to drink plenty of beer or dine on bar food if that's your thing.

Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located.
We had a very comfortable stay here. The house was well appointed with many useful items. It was great to have a washer, drier, and full kitchen. Tyson was very helpful when we needed him. We were thankful for the tourist information and the restaurant suggestions. Highly recommended.

Out of the cold & into the warm weather
Everything was ok, quiet, except for a train whistle at night. Nice kitchen, snack bar, living room & bedroom. Only thing I saw that should be fixed was a better locking latch on the back door and the middle window on north side of back room should be latched down, it would be too easy to get in the house. Other then that we liked staying there.

Great Location!

Simple, cozy, close to 4th Ave. and downtown
Tyson has a lovely place here. I really enjoyed it's location. So close to 4th Ave. made for lovely evening strolls. The back yard is very private and beautiful. A neat spot to sit and eat your lunch or do yoga. He even has a pomegranate tree! The toilet's a bit cramped and the bed's too soft for my taste(I'll admit, I'm a 25 year futon sleeper), but I'd stay here again for sure! Perfect for a single, cozy for a couple. The screens on the front and back doorway make for an excellent cross breeze. Also nice to always have a parking space. Neighbors seemed nice, very quiet block. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to rent this place again.
