Peace and quiet with heavenly views
Stayed here for 2 1/2 months to escape the upper midwest winter. Hiking nirvana on Mt. Lemmon nearby, as well as Saguaro NP and all the other trails in the Tucson area. Michael and Alejandra were very gracious hosts, always available. Enjoyed the privacy and quiet of the guest house. Star gazing from the patio was fantastic.

A Workation Success!
Since we work remote, we have taken several "workations" where we stay, play, and work for a week or more. Our week at this casita was a workation success! The Wi-Fi signal was strong and dependable for work, and we enjoyed the views, hot tub, and easy access to trails and the city while we played. Next time we find ourselves headed to Tucson for work, play, or both, we hope this casita is available.

Perfect in Every Way
Michael and Alejandra were the perfect hosts. No issues with communication in any way. Alejandra greeted us when we arrived, we met Michael on the day that we left. The casita was immaculate with all the amenities described with a well equipped kitchen. Located next to their home, it was a very private setting, exactly what we wanted/needed. The location is very quiet with lots of wildlife, especially in the morning with a beautiful view of the sunsets. The casita is located close to the base of the Catalina mountains with a short drive to Mt. Lemmon (about 30 degrees cooler there). We're already discussing a return visit because we loved it there.

This is a fantastic rental across the board. This place is a sanctuary.
My wife and I just spent a week at Alejandra and Michael’s Casita. The short version - for a couple, this is a fantastic rental across the board. This place is a sanctuary. We spend a lot of time visiting the Tucson area, often for short stays. Always for outdoors adventures. Our favorite rental has been a Casita only a few miles from Alejandra and Michael’s We have now found a new favorite, especially for longer stays. The Casita is spotless clean, extremely well built, has a fresh new feel to it. It is well laid out, provisioned, decorated and very comfortable. The views are fantastic, both day and night. The patio is fantastic for relaxing and enjoying those views. The Spa is a great feature and so relaxing and restorative after a day of hiking, running trails or climbing. The multi-headed shower which includes a rain shower is quite enticing as well. Its a short jaunt to the road leading up into Mt. Lemmon. There are easy routes out to the south and west for exploring that direction. And getting into town, or its surrounds is quite convenient. Alejandra meet us when we arrived, even those it was late into the day and was delightful. We ran into Michael one of the evenings and had a great chat for a bit. They are both wonderful hosts and made sure we knew they would be reached for anything that might come up. For us nothing did. Everything was as good as one could want. It would be hard to beat this Casita for peace, solitude, and recovery from everyday madness.

Beautiful views, relaxing atmosphere
The description of the casita, the location and the views are all very accurate. It doesnt detail the experience you can expect though. This home ( and it feels like a home) is tastefully and comfortably appointed…both inside and out. It was a wonderful experience to grill dinner overlooking the city, enjoy wine on the patio and finish the evening with a relaxing soak in the (very clean) hot tub all while taking in the constellations above. Notably the hosts, Michael and Alejandra, are wonderful people, always available and are there to make your stay as pleasant as can be. I’m already planning my return trip!

Exquisite in every way
Do not hesitate for a minute! This casita is a true gem in the desert. We’ve stayed 5 times and plan to return. Set in the gorgeous foothills, you are surrounded by saguaro, ocotillo and amazing views from the private patio and hot tub. We love the desert quiet and the forest at the top of Mount Lemmon is only 20 miles up the road. The casita is very comfortable and the shower amazing. Close to restaurants and stores, this place has it all. Hosts Michael and Alejandra excel at being available when needed yet respect our privacy.

Loved this casita!
Had an amazing time staying at Alejandra and Michael's casita. Alejandra welcomed us with a home grown grapefruit from their tree, which was lovely. Perfect, peaceful little get away spot!

Outstanding view!
This property is a little bit out of town, so be prepared to do some extra driving if staying here. The view is lovely and there is a hot tub that is very pleasant and has a great view at night. It is perfect for a couple. Very quiet and peaceful. Well furnished. The owners have a separate house on site and are very helpful. Great stay!

Great Stay
Stayed in Octobet 2022 My Wife and I had high expectations before arriving due to pictures and fantastic reviews. The Casita met and exceeded those high expectations due to what has been highlighted in previous reviews due to property views, hot tub, comfortable bed, great shower, ,great hosts, etc... Beautiful house and location!
We stayed for a week and wish we stayed longer! Beautiful and comfortable house, private and on a very quiet road. Amazing views. The location was perfect, right down the street from the Catalina mountains byway with plenty of hiking and critters to see. Only 15 min from Saguaro national park east which we really enjoyed. As others have said the hot plate worked great, we cooked most of our meals at home and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was great as well. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again in a heartbeat.

This was a perfect place for my wife and I to spend our 3rd anniversary! The casita was amazing, clean, huge bedroom, washer and dryer, incredible views. The hot tub was great and we used the grill a few times too. The location is also perfect if you like to do outdoors activities like hikes. We went on some incredible hikes, also drove up Mt Lemmon highway which had great views (also about 30 degrees cooler). We also went horse back riding in the desert and we got to see the sunset from Saguaro National Park. The host were pretty much perfect. Alejandra and Michael were super helpful but also we felt like we were the only ones there unless we had a question. Overall no complaints just great memories! We have never been to Arizona before but we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time. House was the perfect location for us to hike Mt Lemon and Saguaro National Park. Views are out of this world. Alejandra and Michael are great hosts and enjoyable visiting with. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Will be back.

Best VRBO Ever
Escaping the heat of Texas, we planned some time in New Mexico, but had to adjust at the last minute. Luckily the Casita was available and thanks to our terrific host we were able to check in on short notice. This Casita is an oasis in the desert! It is beautifully appointed, with fantastic desert views and being at the base of Mt. Lemmon, only a spectacular drive to the beautiful, cool, forest. Our hosts are outstanding and we plan to return this Fall. We can’t say enough great things about our favorite place in Arizona. PS, the shower is amazing!!

Nicely appointed casita. Everything is well done. Great Shower. Patio is very nice with first rate grill. Very quiet and somewhat isolated. Hotplate in place of stove cook top was no problem. Overall, an extremely nice VRBO rental, especially if you enjoy a natural uncrowded setting.

Stunning scenery, excellent location in the foothills of Mt. Lemmon and truly exceptional hosts. Our first visit to the casita was in April and after being back home for two weeks, we wanted to make the 1000 mile drive back to enjoy it again! We lucked into an available week and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time!

The Perfect Getaway!
The casita is beautiful! The views are stunning! The back patio is a great place to sit and watch the birds and other wildlife. The hosts, Alejandra and Michael, are wonderful! Both times we have stayed at their casita, they have made us feel quite welcome! They are also great sources for information in regards to what is available in the area. We plan on going back again! Unfortunately, because they are such good hosts and the surroundings are so beautiful, it books up fast! I hesitate to give this review because the popularity makes it more difficult to book! However, I highly recommend this Casita!

This is our second year. We’ve stayed two weeks each year. We play a lot of golf and the hot tub after 18 holes is wonderful! Our hosts promptly respond to us. Everything is clean. Location is perfect for us. Not near downtown.

Beautiful hideaway!
We loved every minute of our stay in the charming casita! The setting is gorgeous, and the house is artfully decorated and has every convenience you could need or want. The shower is to die for! The hot tub was a huge bonus - perfect for when the temperature dips at 5 pm or for stargazing at night. (The night sky is amazing here!) It is quiet and private, but the stores are only a few minutes away. My husband is a serious biker, and an unforeseen bonus is that the house is at the base of Mt. Lemmon, which he biked up one day. Michael and Alejandra were easy to communicate with and were helpful but not intrusive. We would stay here any time!

The comfortable casita provided a fantastic base to explore the Tucson area. The hosts were very helpful when needed but otherwise we didn't even know they were there. It was wonderful to explore all day and then return to the casita to enjoy the sunset from the hot tub. And it was wonderful too to wake up to the sounds of coyotes howling and to take an early morning stroll with javelinas in the brush. And then drive down to South Tucson for the best carne asada and horchata. Wonderful, simply maravilloso.

Expectations Exceeded!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alejandra and Michael’s casita! Located in an absolutely beautiful area of Tucson, the casita was exceptionally clean, private, spacious and very comfortable. Everything we could have needed was provided for! We fell in love with the amazing views from the back patio and being able to relax in the hot tub after days spent hiking. We hope to return again very soon! Thank you Michael and Alejandra!

Special place for a much needed vacation.
We loved our stay at "the Casita." We had such a wonderful, relaxing vacation! So pretty and peaceful. Beautiful sunset views from the patio. We cooked on the grill and ate dinner on the patio the first night. Inside, everything was neat and clean and comfortable. The place had a lot of charm. The host greeted us warmly when we arrived, showed us around, and then gave us our privacy, letting us know they were there if we needed anything. We enjoyed hiking at nearby Mount Lemmon and the Saguaro National Park. We were in easy driving distance to downtown Tucson, where we checked out local shops and eateries. Highly recommend!

Magical Retreat
My husband and I fell in love with this Casita and Tanque Verde. This is a very special and beautiful place. The location and view are spectacular . Very quiet and private. Incredible views, fabulous desert hikes close by. The Casita is modern, spotless and well appointed. The hosts Michael and Alejandra are welcoming and friendly and respond immediately to any need or questions you may have. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous and the night stars lovely from the patio or hot tub. We feel so lucky to have stayed at this lovely Casita and to have met such wonderful hosts. We can’t wait to return.

Wonderful casita and perfect hosts
My husband and I rented this casita to have a few quiet days in a beautiful environment and we were not disappointed. Our hosts Alejandra and Michael were very welcoming and respectful of our privacy. The casita is beautiful, tastefully furnished, well appointed and very clean. There was everything in the kitchen that I needed for cooking since we did not want to go out for meals. The patio is beautiful with stunning views of the saguaros and the city (especially at night). I absolutely loved the hot tub with full body massaging jets. We are already thinking of coming back next spring! We highly recommend this property.
