CLose to Nature
Great property for being close to nature, but difficult to find in the dark. "Cleaners" definitely need to do a better job in order to justify the cleaning fees.

Liked the area - however, as a manager at a cleaning company I noticed right away cabin hasn’t been cleaned . I’ll leave it at that . Nice owners though very responsive to messages .

Very comfortable, quiet cabin. Lots of space. Large deck out back with BBQ grill, and covered deck in front to sit and be out even on a rainy evening. Allen the host is friendly and as nice as can be, and provided all the information we needed.

Rustic but comfortable
We mainly slept at the cabin and spent the rest of our time visiting family nearby so for us the location was perfect. There was absolutely no toilet paper/tissues/etc. so we were really glad to have brought our own. The bathrooms could have used a good scrub, and it was a bit dusty but that is to be expected for the location. On the whole the cabin served us well.

If you love the outdoors this place is for you. Our family enjoyed the week there and we can't wait to come back. We wish we would have stayed longer and had more time to do more.

Highly Recommend this Quiet Mountain Escape!
We had a fantastic time, up at the cabin. We would definitely come back! We saw lots of wildlife and were able to get anything we needed in nearby Susquehanna. We absolutely fell in-love with this cabin and were so sad to leave. Great Hosts who were quick to respond. Highly recommended!!!

Spectacular property
This property has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is great and is extremely comfortable for its size, there was plenty of space for us to spread out. There are plenty of beds for larger groups. It has a great fireplace and the outdoor fire pit is huge! Overall great experience.

Fall Getaway
The cabin is in a nice remote location. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. The mountains were amazing in their fall colors! Enjoyed seeing the neighborhood deer and turkey. Nice find was nearby Buck Falls. Overall we enjoyed our weekend stay and would return.

Large 4 acre property. Fun to explore with my dog. The cabin is cozy: has total of 6 beds in 2 rooms. Separate room controls for baseboard heat. Very strong wifi. Wasn’t hard to get to at all.

Much Needed Stay
This was our first time using VRBO and we weren't disappointed. We own a busy auto repair shop and it was nice getting away, no phones, no computers, no cars, and no agg. We will definitely be back next year at some point. Maybe even this winter for a few days skiing at Elk Mtn.

Peaceful and quiet
This is the second time we are staying here. We came back because the kids wanted to experience the “far away middle of nowhere” thing again. The cabin is spacious, the property is huge. The weather was beautiful. The night sky was absolutely amazing (no pollution makes a big difference) We used the SkyView app to look up the constellations. We all had a great time.

Perfect for dogs and their people
A friend and I stayed with our dogs while attending nose work camp at Camp Chen-a-Wanda. The lawn is perfect for a romp with the dogs. The cabin needs a thorough cleaning. But it was convenient and comfortable for our needs.

We had a good time. The place could definitely use a proper scrub from top to bottom. The fridge is more on the freezer side. It’s a beautiful area.

The rooster was definitely one of the highlights, staying guard at the top of the driveway! We hiked and swam in some waterfalls which was the perfect break from work!

Beautiful solitude
I’m so grateful for VRBO hosts who keep fees down as someone who just need to get away for a few days. The property was as described and it felt like I was the only person around for miles, yet, 6 miles down the road was populated town/ tiny city. I’m a big fan of good pillows and was able to find the perfect combo for much needed sleep full nights. And the location? I felt as if I could touch the stars they were so close.

Very Nice Winter Break Spot
We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We had a fire every night as we made dinner and then watched some movies. Good access to ski resort. Kids had fun.

A lovely cozy cabin!
This was our 2nd time to this cabin and we loved it just as much as the first time! This time we spent our Xmas there- we enjoyed the fireplace, playing games and walks. The house is stocked with everything- I cooked Xmas eve dinner for our family! We went skiing as well- gotta love no wait to the ski lifts and great snow conditions. We also enjoyed a very delicious Chinese dinner on Xmas day at China Castle in Honesdale- it was 35 mins drive but def worth it! Overall 5stars - we will def be back to this lovely little house in the snowy woods! A perfectly picturesque gem.

Beautiful cabin surrounded by views, everywhere I look !
Very enjoyable stay, lots of options for indoor and outdoor enthusiasts. We especially enjoyed the paintings; lots of good books and even geese in the bedroom. And the views outdoors are breathtaking. The two story cabin is sited on a sweeping view of the Poconos Mountains, not far from the regional ski hill. Full home amenities with plenty of room for us. Last night six deer loped across the generous front lawn and this morning the squirrels enjoyed another chat session while feasting on the fruits of the nut trees.

Cabin wasn’t very clean at all for paying a cleaning fee.. not a deal breaker. Great property as it’s fairly secluded and peaceful. Pretty much everything you need is stocked in the kitchen. Overall a nice get away

Nice stay, very secluded, kind and communicative hosts
Overall wonderful cabin far from everything. The hosts will communicate any information you need and were always quick to answer questions. The property also offers many amenities on site such as horseshoes, fire pit, volley ball/ badminton net, etc. The cabin itself is roomy w 2 bathrooms and plenty of sleeping areas.... It is a cabin and not a resort and I accept that, but there were several broken items upon our arrival - a broken glass on the counter, no trash bag in the garbage can, two doors that were off or fell off their hinges and just setting there, took us awhile to realize all the dishes from last person's stay were still in the dishwasher, the living room carpet is extremely stained, the outside games were left on the side porch in a bucket that had filled with water from passing rains and despite laying everything out to dry only the birdies and badminton rackets were usable during our stay. Bean bags were really wet and gross but we never found boards anyway. And all of this would have been acceptable but there was an added on cleaning fee and I don't believe that the place was cleaned Between our stay and the last guests. In fact, I deep cleaned it when I got there, vacuumed every room, wiped down all the counters and nightstands, etc. So that was my only true gripe. Everything else was as expected at a cabin. I know that we left the cabin better than when we found it, I just wish the ppl before us had done the same ...and if there was no cleaning in between, there should not have been a fee for such. Even, given all of this - I would still recommend this cabin if looking for remote, secluded get away.

Wonderful Experience!
Last weekend, I decided on a whim to take my wife and family for a quick getaway to celebrate my wife's birthday and have a new experience for the family. The cabin itself is absolutely charming and is located in a gorgeous part of northern Pennsylvania. In fact, it reminded me of Northern New England with the rolling hills, farms, lakes and some areas with dense forest. The cabin is nestled on a secluded hilltop with plenty of room for kids to play and for parents to relax. As we were leaving, my six-year old daughter said she wanted to return and I promised her that we would return in the near future. Allen and Kristin were great hosts and very friendly, tooI. This is a special place!

Awesome space and awesome location for a secluded getaway!
If you're looking for a private spot where you can soak in some nature this should be on your list. Cabin was a nice combination of rustic, but with all the amenities needed (well stocked kitchen, grill, strong wi-fi). But in reality - if you luck into some nice weather you'll probably spend your time in the backyard which is tucked away from any neighbors and set up with Badminton, Horse Shoes and a winning fire pit. Would love to be back there right now!

Spring Dads Getaway
Allen was a fantastic host. Gave us extremely detailed instructions that was super helpful. The property sits on a hill overlooking the the forest for great views. No active neighbors nearby. Great woods to hike behind the property. Huge firepit. Plenty of chairs. New grill. Close to towns nearby. Will definitely consider coming back in the fall!!

Very good ski house
We really enjoyed our stay at the charming, rustic home. It's definitely food people who like being out in the woods. Owner was not kidding about needing 4-wheel drive to get up the drive-way. Great proximity to Elk Mountain. Greek Peak in NY not too far away either.

Four of us came up for. 2-night stay to ski at nearby Elk mountain. Exactly as advertised. Fireplace served the whole cabin well on the cold nights. Great value for the cost.

A wonderful quaint cabin!
We had a wonderful time at this adorable cabin in Feb’21, and during the pandemic! Everything was according to description and better! The house comes fully supplied in all household items it has listed but I was so pleasantly surprised that it was also well stocked with non-perishables that you may need but don’t think to buy for a 3-day get away such as salt, sugar, oil, etc. t even had Keurig which is so much easier when you bring own coffee for one adult! I have stayed in many VRBOs and this a always a nice perk when you don’t have to shop for every little thing while staying for only a few days. The house is adorable, cozy and clean and even has Disney Plus which was a big deal for my teens for the evening screening of Cloud9! The driveway is long and you do need AWD car, although the plow came early in the morning as it rained/ snowed overnight. The directions were excellent, easy to get to. Overall, had a great time and all are looking forward to coming back. Elk Mtn is great, not crowded and great skiing conditions. Highly recommend and hoping to go back.

The cabin was amazing and owner is amazing as well.
It was our first family vacation ever. And we had a great time. Couple things could be improved but it was amazing time there. We got to see wild turkey, chipmunk, deer, birds, horses etc. We are already planning to come back in January or February. It was a lovely drive and I was amazed how much fun my daughter and my dog had. Great neighbors as well.
