We went as a group of four for a snowboard and ski weekend. Staying on this side of Heavenly was great, easy 5 min walk to and from the Stagecoach lift, or drive your car around early to the parking lot for easy car ride back when you’re off the mountain.
The place was good and was about as efficient as it could be to give four people their own rules. A few things that were not clear on the listing but that I thought I should point out: only the king bed in the master room is a sleep number bed; the two downstairs queens are regular mattresses with foam toppers and the fourth room off the master is a futon bed. I actually took off the foam topper and felt more comfortable. That 4th bedroom is obviously the least comfortable but still suited the guy fine and we were overall happy. Heat kicks on high in the rooms so we dropped the thermostat to 64 at night. The hot tub was a big plus but comfortably only sits 2 adults, 3 is a bit tight and 4 is a no go.
Other than that, kitchen was well equipped, tap water tasted good, and couch was comfortable. We used the wood stove but it doesn’t put out much heat- more ambience. The ski locker outside was nice plus too.
Anyway, great place for four if you’re looking for 4 bedroom “slopside” on a relative budget, and the communication was great with the hosts. Don’t hesitate to book and stay if you’re visiting Heavenly, and check out Fox and Hound for a good bbq meal or pizza and beers.
