Beautiful Holiday
Waren 2018 schon mal im gleichen Haus. Hat sich nahezu Nichts verändert. War ein schöner Aufenthalt. Allerdings benötigen die Fenster und die Sanitärräume einer Überholung (Schimmel).

The property was quiet , clean, homely yet modern , very well equipped kitchen, extremely handy location within short wa short walking distance to the beaches pubs restaurants and shops. Excellent hosts and a lovely welcome pack waiting for us. Four floors were fine for us but if you struggle with stairs might be difficult.we will definitely be booking this gorgeous fisherman's cottage again! andshops..Exxellent

Stay cut short due to noise through the walls
The property is lovely - well decorated, furnished and very clean. We know & love the area but didn’t realise this cottage was back to back or that noise would travel so much. We were extremely unlucky in that there was a particularly noisy group staying behind us but soon discovered that even normal conversation could be heard - they could obviously hear us too as we heard them discussing it! As our stay was for much needed respite and we got very little peace or sleep - and there was obviously nothing we could do to improve the situation we made the hugely disappointing decision to cut the 4 night stay short and left after just one night. We made the owners aware of the issue & our departure at 1pm and even gave them the opportunity to re-let the cottage. However they didn’t respond to us until 8.30 that night and didn’t/couldn’t really say anything other than they could try talking to the owners of the neighbours. This was obviously no help to us and in all honestly wouldn’t prevent normal level noise being heard. I am extremely surprised that no-one else has raised the soundproofing issue so maybe we are particularly sensitive to noise but I do think it is important to make other potential guests aware as if I had seen a review mentioning it I certainly wouldn’t have chosen this cottage. A real shame!

Great little property, very comfortable and fantastic location
A great little dog friendly property situated with everything you need on the doorstep - beaches, cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops. Very comfortable and clean. The slight issue we had with the toilet and shower was sorted very swiftly with excellent communication with the owner. Will have no hesitation in booking to stay here again - thank you for having us!

Beautiful cottage, well decorated and kitchen well-equipped! There was tea/coffee and milk when we arrived to get us through the first morning. The welcome pack was comprehensive. Coastal location, with 4 beaches reachable in under 10 min walk in any direction. Would absolutely recommend.

Underwhelming decor and comfort, dissapointing
Great location as I wanted to swim at Porthgwidden easily but the cottage is a little drab and overall not up to the standard I expected. I contacted the owners with details of particular faults but they never responded.

As you can see from other guest reviews the property has never been described in such manner. The cottage was re painted white less than a year ago so we are unsure how that could give the appearance of ‘drab’. Your trip coincided immediately after the property had been flooded by another guest so the whole property had been re carpeted as well as new sofas before your arrival. Fortunately we had teams work fast for us so your stay did not have to be cancelled. Sadly unbeknown to us a previous guest had stolen then bedside lamps & these were replaced the minute we knew. If you had reported this on your arrival we would have ensured they were replaced for your stay. The TV aerial was not plugged in following the carpet replacements. Again, had you reported this on your arrival this could have been sorted for you. The twin mattress was upside down (again from the carpet replacement) and this is something else that could have been quickly rectified had you reported this. We appreciate that it was frustrating for you but had you communicated with us many of your issues could have been sorted. We are sorry that the artwork & pictures that are in the cottage are not to your taste. You cannot please everyone’s taste. Regarding the use of IKEA & Sainsburys dinnerware & equipment in the kitchen - again, apologies this is not the standard you were expecting. Perhaps in properties where you pay significantly more than you did you may find more expensive dinnerware & equipment. We do hope you find another property in the same location for the same price that you are happier with in the future and apologies that you did not enjoy your stay.

St Ives
Good property with everything we needed. Right in the heart of St Ives so handy for shops beach and eating out. No parking, but that is to be expected in St Ives and we were able to park outside to unload on arrival and reload before leaving. Steep steps on entry and 3 flights of steep stairs to access all floors. Only minus was not much hanging space for clothes. Ok for us as only 2 and used spare bedroom. Overall good stay

Great location and cottage
An amazing find in St ives Literally two mins walk to the harbour and the array of shops and eateries and what a lovely place to chill. Then there is the other beaches all within a few mins walk. Parking is taken care of at the island car park - 100 yds away and reasonably priced. The cottage is well appointed with comfy furniture, all mod cons and a lovely decor and vibe. I will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful cottage
Myself and my wife have just spent a wonderful week staying in this cottage in Saint Ives. The property is very well appointed, with a lovely kitchen diner on the ground floor, a very homely lounge on the first floor, twin room and shower room on the second floor, and a double bed with ensuite on the third floor. It really is a warm and cosy property situated in the heart of Saint Ives, with the local beaches very nearby. Car parking was easy and under a minutes walk from the property, although in busy times if you buy the week pass you won’t be able to stay in the other car parks with the same pass. This time of year we managed to get a space every day . Thank you to Emma for the use of your property, we really had a fantastic break celebrating our 25 years wedding anniversary, your home is lovely and we would definitely rebook if we had the opportunity in future. Highly recommended.

Perfect place to stay
What a wonderful week we have just had in this lovely little house. The property is perfectly situated in beautiful St Ives and has everything you need. It’s clean and modern and we were very sad to leave. I can’t say anything negative about the property at all it was just perfect. Our boys loved playing the games that the owners kindly left on the one rainy morning we had. This was our first time in St Ives and we will definitely be returning, the beaches are beautiful and there is so much to do. Only 2 negatives on St Ives is the parking and the seagulls which are extremely noisy through the night. But other than that it’s perfection.

Perfect for families
Just left St. Ives - first trip after ‘lockdown’. Cottage is perfect for a family of four although just the two of us, mother & daughter getaway. Key left in key safe, property is very clean and beds so comfy. Car park is around 100 metres away and the sea at the end of the street! What’s not to like. St. Ives is beautiful. Would definitely recommend this property.

Could be perfect
We spent 3 nights in this little cottage having never been here before. The cottage itself is nice but there are points I wish I knew before booking. This is a cottage with short beds they are children sized in the 2 nd bedroom and not suitable for anyone over 5'5. The stairs were not a problem but coming out of the front door are 2 very steep steps with no rail to hold therefore became a problem for my parents. There is everything you need inside but the cleanliness is lacking and the cottage is starting to look tired compared to others in the area. The mattresses are covered in stains and the pillows are lumpy. One window was boarded up due to a previous guest and none of the windows stay open without being propped up. The shower in the master only works properly if noone else is using the other shower or running any tap. The plus point is the location is fabulous. Would I stay again....no.

We are sorry that you found some issues with our cottage, as you can see we rarely get a negative review. *The beds in the 2nd bedroom are standard 6.3 length.The cottage is mainly used by adults & we have never had anyone complain. *There are two Granite steps leading to the front door, typical of the area and the same as next door, we are sorry that your elderly parents found them tough. After five years you are the first person to raise this as an issue. We were pleased that the internal stairs were ok for you as we know they were a concern for you before you arrived.* We’re glad that you mentioned the property has everything you need as we stay in the property regularly ourselves and strive to ensure that everything you need is provided.*The cottage looking tired is a shock, especially as during lockdown the cottage has been painted internally throughout, your review has been sent to our management company, who assure us that the property is in very good order compared to others they manage of the same size/price - they manage 100 plus properties. *Regarding cleanliness, it would have been helpful for specifics as again this is something that has never been complained about and is something often complimented by other guests reviews.*Your comments re the pillows have been taken on board and we will assess this when we arrive & replace as necessary.* Mattresses have been checked by the management company today and are perfectly acceptable and all have protectors on them. Which are inspected every change over.*Regarding the shower unless you have a separate feeder tank, (not possible in a property of this style and nature) you are going to encounter slight pressure changes when other appliances are used at the same time. This is the same in our own house, which is only ten years old. *We can only apologise (and did before your arrival) about the quarter of a window that had to be boarded up. It had only recently happened & glass was ordered on the day it broke when the glazier came out to board up. The whole process took 2 weeks and was out of our control. The windows are original & we have had people out to look at ways of securing them open but it has not been possible due to the age of them. Both bedroom windows stay open when pulled down. We cannot remember the lounge & kitchen but will assess when we arrive & ensure window wedges which people use as an alternative for these style windows are clearly visible if need be. Weekend cut short
Had a lovely couple of nights here but came home a day early due to the virus. The shut down of pubs & restaurants happened on our first night so St. Ives seemed eerily quiet. Lovely cottage with everything you need. Hopefully in the future we’ll be back xxxxxxxxxxx

So close, it was amazing
We travelled with our daughter and son in law to stay at the property and found everything we needed. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The younger members were out almost every day on their body boards and were so pleased with the proximity to three beaches although one was their favourite. We were very close to the harbour and shops, restaurants too, although my dietary requirements meant that we often ate at No 4. I'm seventy five and didn't find the stairs too difficult although we were in the room on the second floor. Having individual bath or shower rooms for each of the bedrooms was for us an added bonus. I feel that St Ives and No 4 draws us back!

This place is absolutely perfect, i love having the kitchen, lounge and bedrooms all on seperate floors, ideal when you have a baby! The location is perfect. We tried to rebook for next year while we were there but unfortunately it had already been snapped up!!

Spot on for both comfort and location
It’s been wonderful. Beautifully presented home, all the right equipment without unnecessary clutter. Spotlessly clean. The location was perfect in a tiny street, very quiet. We used public transport, we were there for a couple of days and no need for a car. Plenty to do. Home close enough to nip back throughout the day if needed. Am recommending it to all my family.

Perfect little place....
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Cornwall for a long weekend when attending a friends wedding earlier this month. We were greeted by a very thoughtful tray of locally sourced tea and biscuits in the kitchen after our long drive down to the shore. The house was very clean and perfectly located a few minutes walk from the harbor and the beach. I would certainly recommend this to anyone.

The most amazing 10 days in St Ives 😊
We had the most fantastic time in St Ives. We stayed in Andy & Emma’s lovely house for 10 nights in August with our two boys and it was just perfect. The house is very comfortable and the decoration has been very well thought out. The beds were very comfy and it was great to have two shower rooms. The location was fab for the beaches & the town. A big thank you to Karen the housekeeper who was very helpful during our stay. We will definitely be back next year. 🥰

Our home in Cornwall
Wir haben 10 Tage in diesem wunderschön und sehr liebevoll renovierten Haus verbracht. Das Haus verfügt vier Etagen: EG - Eingang / Küche; 1.OG - Wohnzimmer; 2. OG - Schlafzimmer mit zwei (etwas engeren, ca. 70 - 80cm) Einzelbetten + ein ausreichend großes Bad; 3. OG - Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett (ca. 150cm) und ein kleines Bad. Alle Etagen sind mit vielen kleinen Details ausgesprochen liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet worden. Die Ausstattung der Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen, selbst eine Waschmaschine gibt es, so dass man mit gewaschener Wäsche nach Hause kommt. Es gibt einige Stauräume und zwei Schubladenschränke in denen die Kleidung und nicht gebrauchte Taschen/Koffer verstaut werden können, das reicht für die Kleidung bei 10 Tagen zwar nicht ganz aus, hat uns aber auch nicht gestört. Im Stauraum der Küche liegt ein umfangreiches Equipement für den Strand (Strandmuschel, Schwimmbretter, Eimer/Schaufel, Ballspiel). Auch sind viele Kinderspiele vorhanden. Der Check-In erfolgt über einen Schlüssel-Safe, so dass die Anreise entspannt erfolgen kann. Insgesamt gesagt: das Haus ist perfekt! Auch der Ort ist wunderschön. In weniger als 300m liegen um das Haus vier (!) Strände herum: ruhige Bucht, wilde Bucht, Hundebucht, selbst im Hafenbecken kann man super schwimmen. Zwei Mankos gibt es allerdings: 1. der Ort hat zu wenig Parkraum für die Autos. Am Ende der Halbinsel (300m vom Haus) gibt es einen Langzeitparkplatz (10 Tage = 67 Pfund), doch ist der gebuchte Platz nicht sicher, wenn man den Platz für einen Tagesausflug verlassen hat. Man muss abends dann geduldig warten, bis wieder ein Platz frei wird (bis zu einer Stunde). 2. die Möwen: sie schreien für das ungeübte Ohr ein wenig viel und schrill und das Tag und Nacht. Dennoch haben wir unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

Gorgeous cottage in a great location
We had a fabulous stay in this gorgeous cottage. It is perfectly positioned for the car park, wonderful walks and the lovely town. We had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again.
