The place had a broken guardrail up the stairs and a broken towel rack in one of the bathrooms. The carpet had not been vacuumed. The kitcken counters were sticky and there were crumbs on them. Cobwebs throughout property with spiders. Bathrooms and bed sheets were clean.

The location is perfect and the room and property is beautiful. The only problem is the shower. The water is adjusted to warm and when you turn the center dial to release the water from the above shower, it comes out with more hot than cold, It is impossible to adjust. I love this place and will return. Maybe they'll fix the shower problem by then.

the location is excellent and we had a view of Mt. Tallac from the spacious balcony and the living room. It is a 3 minute walk to their private beach with incredible views of the lake and surroundings. However, the unit and the entire property is in really poor shape and needs numerous repairs and replacements including our unit. The bed was very uncomfortable, the carpets were filthy and I would not go there until it has been completely brought up to at least average standards. We didn't ask for another room, because it was pretty obvious that we would probably not get a better room, and at least ours had some view.

The condoI stayed in was a studio with loft in the lodge. The Lodge had plywood on windows, the hallways were dark, dingy, and smelled kind of moldy. The room walls were super thin, I could hear the neighbors tv word for word in the bedroom. The windows are old and the room was cold at night as a result of that and what I am assuming is bad insulation. If you stay here make sure you aren’t staying in the “Lodge” (the main building)

The property grounds were clean, laid out nicely and with nice amenities like pools, gym, sauna, and 3 fire pits in the common area. The staff is friendly and professional. I would stay again but not in the same unit. The unit we stayed in is in need of noticeable repairs and updates and affected the enjoyment of our stay. There was a large hole in the closet door next to the front door. There was another good size hole in the wall by one of stairs. The curtains were dirty, some broken blinds, and carpets were either dirty or badly stained. Stairs and floors creaked like we've never heard before. So badly that it woke those sleep on the 1st floor. The spiral staircase sounded like people were stomping for those on the 1st floor even when tip toeing.

Nice location close to the lake. We were with another couple and our rooms were close together, which was great. Our rooms were located in the main lodge building and we had to carry our bags up stairs from the parking lot, a bit of a pain, but we are able bodied enough to do it. Our room was really nice and big, with a separate living area, kitchenette and private bedroom and a balcony. We did not get a room with a view, though, which was disappointing. The room was pretty clean, but not super great, dust etc, in corners. Bed was firm, but we didn’t mind that. No breakfast on site. There was a coffee maker and coffee provided in the room which was nice. All in all I would recommend the hotel, as long as you’re not too picky

Great property in a great location. Only downside was construction was occurring during our stay when resulted in multiple work crews and trucks around the area. Not a huge issue but was somewhat unsightly.

Condo, 1 Bedroom (Lodge, with Loft) was spacious and clean. The room however was dated, and smelled musty. Its no where located by the lake we were stuck near the main street. Traffic was loud, woke us up every morning. Veiw was of the main street, facing opposite of the lake. The photos fooled us of the property.

Staying at Lakeland Village is a crapshoot. Our family has stayed here three times in the last 3 years. Every townhome we stayed at was conveniently located near the beach. Parking has never been an issue. The staff have been great. The downfalls has been the cleanliness of the bedding, cobwebs on the interior and exterior of each location we’ve stayed at and the dated interior. The first townhome we stayed at was amazing. Clean, good condition, we’ll maintained. Exactly what I remembered from the annual trips our family took there as a child. The second townhome we stayed at was dated yet maintained well. On our most recent trip in July of 2023, the townhome was dirty including a smelly, moldy shower room, stained sheets and cobwebs everywhere. You can’t beat the location right on the lake. The balconies were relaxing surrounded by trees. Very spacious townhomes. Unfortunately, it all comes down to housekeeping and keeping the townhome clean. With that said, my wife and I will be looking for comparable hotels and properties that offer the same amenities on our next trip to South Lake Tahoe. If you are looking into staying here, be warned that you don’t know what you get til you walk through that front door. Every two bedroom townhome is different.

Not a good stay
I canceled the reservation after 1 night. The furniture was so dilapidated that I wouldn’t even sit on it. The outside, including the balcony was actually under construction, and not just “construction in the area”. The hallways to the unit were dilapidated and filthy. The staff was nice, but the unit was not at all what it was advertised as.

This was our first visit to Lake Tahoe and I'm so glad we chose to stay here, the location is great, nice beach, pier. We booked a townhouse with two bedrooms including a loft, a large living room, dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. Our house number is 421, two floors plus loft, master bedroom (with full bathroom) and guest room (2 queen beds) on the first floor, laundry room (but the machine is a bit small, and the dryer does not work well), a small full bathroom, and there is a cloakroom at the door. There were two comfortable single beds in the loft and one of the blinds was broken. The room we booked has enough space and no air-conditioning, but the first floor is very cool. Kitchen, living room, and dining room on the second floor are a bit hot. Especially in the evening, there are electric fans that can be used, and it is even cold to sleep in the bedroom at night. Overall, a great experience, but I recommend bringing your own pots and pans. Generally speaking, the pots are not in good condition, and this time is no exception. There are several single-handled stainless soup pots and milk pots in the kitchen. I brought my own pans so it didn't bother us and we made several delicious meals. We will still choose this place when we go to Lake Tahoe in the future. It’s really great!! There is also a house number 463, which is very cutely decorated. It can be seen that the owner takes good care of the house.

I feel like I was catfished. The pictures of the place look NOTHING like the room. The condo we stay in was from the 80s. Just disappointed that what I saw in the photos was nothing like the room. The only upside was the private beach.

Other than the location, there is nothing much I liked about the property. Expedia pictures are deceiving and the apartment we got was all the way back in the building and you can’t see the lake. Allows only 1 parking per apartment and you still can’t find parking, potholes driveway, noisy neighbors

You cannot beat the location of this property. The condition of the property has gone downhill since the new owners have taken over. The very basic supplies in the rooms were not there,or ever provided. They are under some renovations so hopefully they will fix the problems inside and out.

The property looks as though it was once a beautiful place to stay but as of our stay this was not the case. 1-room was not anywhere what was pictured 2-the shuttle rarely arrived on time. 3-construction undergoing on our building, would be better to not have those rooms available until construction is finished 4-not anywhere enough parking spots for the number of rooms on the property 5-mostly THE EMPLOYEES AT THE FRONT DESK AND TIM THE SHUTTLE DRIVER WERE VERY RUDE AND OF NO HELP. 6-no houskeeping under any circumstances, difficult to even get clean towels, 7-would recommend staying elsewhere!

We were disappointed to discover there were repairs going on the outside of the building and on the balcony of the unit we were in. Construction noises went on from 8am until at least 7:30 in the evening. The tennis court was closed - cracks on the court and no net. Our unit had no hooks in the bathroom and there were remodeling items such as paint and spare pictures in the closets and cabinets. The bathroom was very small. The door barely closed over the toilet. The mattress was lumpy and in need of replacement.

Update photos to accurate description of rooms. My recent stay at Lakeland Village South Lake Tahoe had some discrepancies. I booked the 1bdr condo with loft. Pictures showed two twin beds and a queen bed and that’s why I booked it to sleep 4. Upon arrival, there were two queen beds instead. One of my family members had to sleep on the couch! Pls update the photos on the Orbitz website to match the appropriate room descriptions.

Property itself is clean, comfortable & kid-friendly. The free shuttle service was convenient. Everything is within walking distance. Only negative is dusk when a plethora of gnats/mosquitos start to swarm. They could use some vamping up with pool furniture and the fitness room/sauna, but that’s just nitpicking. Overall, great experience. This was our third stay here :)

Property is beautiful. Unfortunately construction was going on right outside on our wall . Hammering, nail guns , yelling , singing all day . Unit should not have been rented . We did get one day credit luckily after I complained.
