Spring break getaway
We had a nice time! The weather was not what we expected so we ended up staying at the house a lot more than we thought we would. because of the comforts of the home that was just fine ping-pong competitions, movie watching, gameplay, evenings by the fire, everything was there to enjoy!

Beautiful cabin in the woods
My adult son and I stayed at this beautiful cabin on a trip to Lassen volcanic national Park. Unfortunately, the park was closed in the winter (who knew?), but we found other areas to explore. The cabin was comfortable and well stocked and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to anybody else. Thank you, Erica, for lending us your beautiful cabin for our stay!

Fun Cabin
We had a great Thanksgiving at the cabin. The kitchen is one of the best equipped when not a family home. The beds and the linens were A+. Really clean. Erica was a great host.

Perfect for visiting Lassen NP
We stayed with our baby and a couple friends and their baby while visiting Lassen NP. This is probably as good as it gets for staying very close to the park. The cabin is very cute and cozy and the host did a great job with instructions for everything. We used the fire pit on the deck and it was really nice. The (Starlink) internet works incredibly well. Just be aware you will get charged extra per night for each person staying at the home if it goes above 2 people, infants included. Just want people to be aware because I missed this somehow and was a bit surprised by the extra fees.

This property is lovely. Didn’t get to indulge in all the amenities because we hiked from sun up to sun down but it sure offers everything you could want for!

Lassen retreat
The house was perfect for a quiet getaway to the Lassen area. Close to the national park and nestled in a quiet forest near Shingletown. The house was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed barbequing on the deck and enjoying the deer wandering by and the many birds. Erica was easy to work with. Would happily return in a future visit to the Lassen area.

Perfect spot for Lassen!
My husband and I stayed here 2 nights while visiting Lassen N.P. First, I was SO impressed with the well stocked kitchen. I cooked both nights and this kitchen was a dream to cook in. We grabbed groceries coming in, in Redding. The second day we went to the IGA 10 min down and grabbed things for a quick dinner, worked out perfect. 2nd, loved that this cabin was so close to Lassen. A 10 minute drive and you're there. Make sure if its a clear night, you either drive to an open area or sit on the deck and enjoy the stars!!

Cool Cabin
This is a very cool mountain cabin with all the necessary amenities and more. We would definitely recommend and appreciate all of the extra touches including the s'mores kit!

Enjoyed the Cabin and Our Lassen Weekend
We were up at Lassen Volcanic National Park for the Evening Sky event at Manzanita Lake. The cabin location is very convenient for park activities. This was our second use of the cabin and the accommodations were (again) great. The new owner is maintaining the cabin similarly to the previous owner.

This beautiful cabin is so close to Lassen (and Burney Falls and Redding) that the teenage kids were able to sleep in a little each day before we headed out to the park. Clean, secluded and comfortable - what else could you ask for? A gracious host? You get that too! We'll be back for sure.

This cozy cabin was the perfect getaway from the heat! The cabin is close to Lassen National Park and the surrounding area was beautiful. The cabin is comfortable and well stocked, a real gem in the mountains!

Great Cabin in the Woods
My wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandson enjoyed our stay in the woods. The cabin is very clean and the beds were comfy. The kitchen is fully equipped and roomy. Our grandson took full advantage of the games in the garage as well as the s'mores left by our host. The locale is fairly isolated, peaceful and close to Lassen. I saw one vehicle go by the whole time of our stay. My only negative comment is about that sofa. You sink down in as if there is no support under it. But overall this is a fantastic location and set up. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful and Relaxing Stay
My husband, grandson and 2 dogs spent 5 nights. Everything was as described and very comfortable. Had the best nights sleep that I’ve had in years with the comfortable king size bed and cool mountain air. The cabin was well stocked with cookware and some great seasonings in the cupboard. Erica was great to communicate with.

Comfy Cabin in the Woods
Great location, just 11 minutes from the NW entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. House was very comfortable, and the kids loved their stay. Plenty of games (ping pong, cornhole, etc). Outside gas fire pit great for s’mores. A lot of thoughtful touches to make us feel at home.

A wonderful “cabin “!
Looks like a cabin on the outside, but all the amenities inside give it a relaxing, luxurious feeling. Strong Wi-Fi, comfy beds, new stove and refrigerator, and ingredients for s’mores supplied! Quiet surroundings make it a great place for birding. Hat Creek fishing is 20 minutes away. Highly recommend this “cabin”!

Perfect Lassen retreat
Knew we would be in the middle of nowhere being we r from the northeast. Wanted lots of comforts & amenities. Got it all. House is spotlessly clean, comfortable & spacious. Plenty of space to not feel cooped up. Outside area is super. Weather didn’t allow us full access all the time but when it wasn’t raining sitting on porch & around fire pit was awesome. Lassen is an awesome park & this is a stones throw away, literally right down the street. Kitchen well stocked to make meals. Living area very comfy & nicely decorated. Bathroom tile is beautiful. All great Highly recommend.

Perfect Stay
We stayed at the cabin as a base for our trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park. With no lodging inside the park this cabin is one of the closest places to the North entrance you can stay. We had a lovely 5 night stay. The house was perfect for our family of 6, two adults and 4 kids ages 6-14. We were able to spend our days hiking in the park and our evenings relaxing at the cabin making s'mores at the gas firepit on the outside deck and watching movies. The wifi service worked great too. The washer and dryer were also much appreciated as this was part of a 10 day trip for us so it was nice to not have to bring 10 days worth of clothes. Lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

We were very happy with Nancy's cabin; it was well appointed, in a quiet wood and conveniently located 10 minutes from a small downtown with gas/groceries and an entrance to Lassen NP. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Stay
My family was on a month long road trip and this was our favorite place to stay. Beautiful cabin, lovely decor, spacious rooms, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen (tools, pots/pans, dishes); overall a great place to stay!! Sweet welcome basket as well!! A few steps leading up to the front door and deck but easy access to a bedroom downstairs for the disabled.

Fantastic Home, in Fantastic Location
My family of five stayed here for only 3 nights while visiting Lassen and our only regret was not having more time. the home was welcoming and spacious from the care basket with Pringles and smores treats for kids, to the signs, to the clear heads up to leave windows open overnight to have a cool home the next day (worked like a charm), to napkins, soft cozy blankets and games. If only Nancy could have magically mad the yard mosquito free it would have been perfect. The bathrooms were good sized nd relaxing and fans helped everyone feel cool t night while the temperature dropped (and we visited during a heat wave. We 100% recommend this home to anyone visiting the area, especially Lassen. Your 0.5 miles off the main road by the only noise outside is the creek and birds. Deer, rabbits, etc in and around the yard.

Great trip to Lassen NP
The property was perfect both inside and outside. Nancy was a great host and the house was well equipped with everything that we needed. We enjoyed the outside deck every day and also enjoyed seeing the wildlife. A deer was on the property multiple times. It is so close to Lassen Volcanic National Park which made it so convenient for our visit there each day. We were there 1 week and it was perfect for my family.

Wow. Just Wow!
This is an amazing place to stay! Close to Lassen and other local mountains to explore and great neighborhood! Place was super clean, well organized, and it had everything you needed to feel at home. Great place to stay near Lassen
This is a lovely cabin in a great location. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. There was plenty of counter space in the kitchen so it was easy to easy to work in. It was extremely well equipped, and wonder of wonders, the kitchen knives I had occasion to use were sharp. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful cabin in a quiet location.
I can’t say enough about our experience! It was wonderful from the beginning to the end. Host had impeccable attention to detail. Everything in the cabin was high quality and clean! Beds and pillows were very comfortable!!! Nice furnishings. Well equipped kitchen. Great BBQ and outdoor propane fireplace. More than enough firewood for the stove inside. Excellent helpful tips inside on how to work everything. Movies and games a plenty!!! The pictures don’t do the cabin justice either! Book it Danno…you won’t be disappointed!!! I can’t wait to go back!

Hideaway in the woods
We enjoyed our week at Nancy's cabin even though our primary reason for going, Lassen National Park, wasn't open yet. By the way if you're looking into visiting the NP, know that snow clearing is slow and probably not reliably open until at least after Memorial Day (possibly later). Anyway, we spent the week hiking around Manzanita Lake (10 min away) and several hikes in Lassen National Forest, exploring caves (25 min - 1 hour away), visiting Redding (40 min away) and taking the kids to different lakes and rivers in the (drivable) area. The house was stocked with a plethora of movies and games/puzzles when we wanted to stay in. This property has a well-stocked full kitchen and a cozy vibe, and is surrounded by trees and only a couple of other houses/properties nearby. Considering how remote the area is, it's not surprising that the wifi wasn't strong, so I was happy I decided to completely unplug and not work because the internet wasn't 100% reliable (and cell phone signal for data is weak in the entire region.. at least for Verizon). We stopped in Redding for groceries before getting there which we recommend if you want more variety. If you're looking to unwind, get off the grid, and enjoy warm nights with a really cool fireplace, this cabin is fantastic :). Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Cabin
Nancy’s property was a great stay. Very spacious and clean, with nice woods around the home. Only thing that would improve would be to upgrade the Wi-Fi. Working from the cabin was difficult with the Wi-Fi. But would absolutely stay again!

Thank you for the kind words Matthew! Yes, the WiFi is problematic in the mountains with our one provider. The cabin is on the Starlink list when it becomes available. Until then, planning for less work and more play is a good idea :)

Great for families
Cozy but also spacious, with games and some cute outdoor surprises when you go wandering - great for families. There's woods and the creek nearby if you want to hang out, Shingletown shops are close enough to grab any essentials you may have missed. Very close to Lassen Manzanita entrance.
