Overall we enjoyed our stay, but there are several things that could be easily updated and addressed to improve this cabin, and they charge enough to do so.
Pros: nice quiet neighborhood, hot tub was decent, plenty of beds, games for kids.
Cons: -Carpeted living room with warning signs that you will be charged if there are any spots or stains when you leave. I didn't mind the request to remove shoes, but the threatening signage wasn't very welcoming. Maybe they should update their flooring?
- Only the downstairs bed was even close to comfortable. The rest were low quality mattresses that squeaked and crunched with every move.
- Bare minimum towels and blankets provided
- The kitchen was really outdated. I struggled with every single meal I prepared. The electric stove needs to be completely replaced. The pots and pans look like they are 30 years old, between scratched and old pans and the stove that either scorched everything or took 15 min to get hot enough to cook, preparing food was really frustrating.
- Only one functioning TV...this wasn't a huge deal, but it wasn't very user friendly, hard to figure out how to get to Netflix etc. There are two other TVs that look like they are from 1997, they don't connect to anything and are sort of just sitting there with no real purpose.
-Hot water is instant, but didn't last more than 10 min.
-On the third morning I turned on the lights to find the carpet crawling with big ants that were coming inside from the wall. They managed to bite me a couple times and I resorted to finding a can of raid and spraying the carpet to kill them and then swept them up. It's the mountains, bugs happen, but unpleasant experience at 6 am.
Overall I was expecting more. I have stayed at multiple cabins in this price range, and this one was the most disappointing. Its the attention to detail that makes or breaks a place for me, and this one failed to impress.
