Horrible Host
The host was so extremely unprofessional and cancelled our stay and threatened to call the police when we called for clarity on directions of entry access. Not to mention we were to check in at 3pm but had to reach out at 6pm to ask for our entry access info to which he claimed he knew nothing about this agreement and sent another persons name and number to handle. After a good amount of time and after reaching out to the new contact, he sent all info. Strangest experience I have ever had. Cancelled at 10:30pm at night and put in a position to have to find a place to stay. Host continued to send threatening texts to stay away from property and accusing us of starting an altercation with the front tenants. Never happened. We spoke w the front tenants who noticed us circling the block to try to locate the place. At that time they expressed the horror of their experience. Misrepresentation of place, bugs and cockroaches, strange homeless behavior. WORST HOST-DO NOT TRUST VRBO did their best to try to make up the unfortunate actions of this host.

Property is a Dump-Unsanitary & Unsafe
Booked this property as the pictures showed a bright, clean unit. The description says glittering interior but it is anything but glittering.Upon entering we were greeted by a musky, dim dingy unit, with gnats. Upon further inspection we noticed that the bathroom had holes in the walls, missing hair dryer, mold on the baseboards. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, trash on the window sill, rusty hot plate, scum, dirt, dead bugs on the cabinets & walls in every room, gnats in the freezer, cob webs in every corner. There was a hole in the ceiling with open wires presumably where the smoke detector should have been. None of the outlets worked in the bathroom or living room. Didn’t check bedroom. For a 4 night stay we were provided with 2 small shower towels, no wash cloths or hand towels. And were told to wash the towels in the washer that is literally outside in the court yard. Immediately called the host & Customer Service (CS) to cancel as there was no way I felt safe staying at such a filthy property with my son. The host is difficult to deal with & CS considers cleanliness & safety minor issues & have refused to refund me. The host kept me checked in the entire stay, after multiple requests to cancel by me & CS.Then said no refund as he couldn’t rebook & tried to blame me for the issues. They don’t let you post pictures on reviews for some reason, which is a shame.I would love to show you what this unit really looks like. BEWARE OF THIS HOST & HIS PROPERTIES!

The property was nice (but not so clean) and private but security screen door didn't sit properly in the door way so it would not properly close. The plus side was that the bed and bedding were very clean. I did a quick wipe down of everything we used in the kitchen. This would be a great stay if the place would have been a bit cleaner and it wasn't booked through VRBO because that company is the worst.

Needs work
We arrived to a plumber working on the kitchen sink and water going everywhere. Dishwasher with dirty dishes, couch falling apart, and no towels in the kitchen (not even paper towels), then to top things off the oke alarm started chirpping at 5 in the morning. We never did get hot water in the kitchen sink.

6 Month Stay
Stayed at this unit for 6 months while working in the area. This unit was private and comfy for my husband and I and our dog. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here if we find ourselves in the area again!

The owner didn´t provide all the amenities described, and he was not really responsive. A lot of things didn´t work, like electrical outlets, toaster, bathroom lights, etc. The owner only solved it 2 days late bringing the coffee cups, and 2 more towels. Nothing else was solved. The owner just ignored my complaints. The Sofa bed didn´t have bedsheets. Location is convenient.

Pros: - Area is very close to downtown San Jose, San Jose mall, a bus ride/Uber/Lyft away. - Decent Selection of Food places nearby or Doordashing -Good enough space for about 2-3 people. Cons: - The place smelt and looked like it wasn't cleaned. The rooms smelled off, the sheets on the bed smelled not fresh. Underneath the beds hadn't been cleaned and had a dirty clothing under one of the beds. Wet dishes in the dishwasher made the kitchen smell off, flies/moths flying in the bathroom and bedroom. Dirty soap dispenser and counter tops and places that looked they weren't cleaned or wiped down. All of this had to be fixed by having myself buy my own cleaning products from the nearby dollar store and clean the entire place, including the floors, furniture, bathroom, bedroom and closet. - The beds and dining table were good and basic. However, the couches looked old and worn out. The black couch in the room and underneath the floors looked liked it hadn't been cleaned and the couch itself looks like it had marks/stains that weren't cleaned off (cleaned them off myself as best as I can). - The only appliance that worked was the fridge. The portable stovetop/burner didn't work, the Keruig coffee/hot water maker didn't work, so we couldn't make fresh coffee or cook for our own. In addition, no microwave as well meant we had to constantly go out and buy to eat rather than make a meal at the place which was disappointing. - Shower/curtains not great placement. Floors always wet.

Not what I hoped for
The neighborhood seemed sketchy. The lighting was dim making the place seem dingy. The bedding was old. Outdoors needed thoroughly swept. Definitely NOT “glittering”, as mentioned in the description. :/

Great stay!
I enjoyed my 3-day/nite stay at this spot! Comfortable! Only thing we weren't happy with was we couldn't make any noise after 10pm. Other than that, great stay! :)

Time to replace the black sofa in the living room and get the musty smell addressed!
Spend $200 and get an Ikea couch. The picture of the couch must be 10 years old because the one in the room was so bad! When you sit on the couch, you can feel the metal rods underneath. Really? Who expects someone to sit on it? The bathroom smelled musty, get the leak in the shower fixed! The place is advertised as 'sleeps four' Where are the sheets and additional blankets?

Amazing place for a small family to relax! I just wished there was courtesy rules for after 11pm for the building. Other than that loved it!

Nice place
I chose this place because it is just a few minutes away from my temporary job. My expectations were met, I have a nice place to stay while being away from home. It has everything you will need. The owner and manager are very considerate to their guest needs. I easily felt better just talking to him and verbalizing my concerns. Anyone can like this place. It is clean, comfy bed, well lit (i like the natural lights the sky roof provides) and provides a lot of privacy. Harnek! Thank you for making my stay in San Jose an awesome one. You are truly a caring person and always around when needed.

Pleasant and clean place, very close to major freeway. The only negative was locating the entrance the first night. While the Official address is on Laswell, the parking and entrance is actually on Basile Ave.

Efficient Accomodations
The space is as listed, clean and efficient with the minimums needed for a place to rest. We were comfortable with our two dogs for our stay.
