Great weekend
Needed to get away for the weekend an relax and unwind from the work week an I did just that had a nice peaceful relaxing time away for afew nights. Very peaceful up there on the mountain the hot tub was great just what I needed

Great weekend
It was a great birthday weekend get away for my girlfriend and my self. Very tranquil and quite definitely what we needed. The bed was really comfortable and the space of the area was tremendous. Definitely will book again. By the way the big windows in the dining room was devine. I sipped on tea looking at the great view.

Wonderful Remote Get-away
The house if fully equipped, very clean, and comfortable. The location is remote but easily reached off the Interstate. If you like a quiet location...this is it.

Perfect weekend
We wanted a place to get away for the weekend and enjoy the fall foliage. This place was perfect for that! The view was amazing, the hot tub made for a relaxing afternoon and the bed was so comfortable that I got the best night of sleep in years! Everything was clean and ready to go! I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely, quiet, peaceful, and secluded!
We had a wonderful stay! We visited Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen, and Seneca Lake! Our favorite part was the private hot tub on the porch! The owners are lovely people and very easy to work with! I loved that we didn’t have to bring our own linens or towels. Clean up is a breeze. We checked in later in the evening and the hot tub was hot and ready for us to jump in as soon as we got there! Can’t wait to come back and stay again!!!

Disappointed
Three things I wanted were a working recliner, dishwasher, charcoal grill. Dishwasher never worked. Small broken propane grill was the mentioned charcoal grill. Propane grill was so old the heat shield had crumbled apart and the user instruction had worn off. While the owner did replace one broken recliner the other recliner stayed broken. The high speed internet might be high speed for the area but it is definiely not FIOS. We had to buy a fying pan because the one they have is flaking (poisonous). The pool table is missing the 16 ball and is in poor condition. I do have to admit it is very quiet. The refrigerator also works well.

Great view and secluded
We felt completely secluded at this property, while only being 20 minutes from supermarkets/stores/restaurants. The property was very comfortable and clean. If you are looking for a private getaway from it all, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.

Perfect Getaway
Beautiful little home with a gorgeous view all day long. The home was clean and the game room kept us entertained for hours. Really loved the fireplace, especially on those snowy nights. A very secluded, and peaceful, slice of paradise.

Perfect getaway
Perfect spot to take grandchildren. They enjoyed every minute sleigh riding on the slopes outside the house. We were able to visit family and friends, with all the comforts of home.

Hunting trip
We had a wonderful stay first thing we noticed was the view you could see for 50 miles at the front window we were there for a hunting trip my son saw a book but it was running away he let it go we did not have permits to shoot though but we could have shot a dozen of them the home was wonderful everything we need was there we will be back

Hilltop paradise
My friends and I go on a weekend trip every year. We all decided that this had been the best home we've stayed in so far! The views alone put it in the top 10, and when you figure in the clean, comfortable home and the hot tub star gazing, this place simply can't be beat. It was so nice to be able to pull the vehicles into the garage to unload, as it was raining quite steadily when we arrived. There were SO MANY cozy blankets available throughout the house. They provided more than enough huge towels to get us through several showers and visits to the hot tub. We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay!

Quiet Gateway.
If you love country life and want to be away from noisy city for few days, this is a place. Nice and quiet location, clean house, beautiful views around, hot tub, fire place, game room with pool table. Even if we had rainy weather first half, we enjoyed our stay! We highly recommend it this place. You'll be happy just to relax and enjoy time in hot tub. Thanks Matt and Janice for everything! Mark and Mila.

Perfect getaway
Our stay was everything we hoped it would be. The home was clean, fully stocked and came absolutely as advertised. We definitely will be coming back. Matt and Janice's suggestions of things to see were all delightfull and worth seeing. It was so nice to be away from the busyness life brings us. We were fortunate to have a clear sky one night to be in awe of how many stars we could see without the light pollution we have at home. Would love to see all of this in every season!

We had a wonderful time at this location. The views were breathtaking including the multiple deer we encountered in the backyard. The place was homey and clean with all the accommodations and communication with the owners was good. This place is great if you are looking for peace and quiet. The hot tub was great too!

Hilltop hot tub…
We’ve stayed at Mat & Jan’s before and it’s just as nice, if not better, than before!. The views are still amazing, the stars are still beautiful, the hot tub is still sublime and the house is still like being home. We love the deer at dusk and the sunset to put an exclamation point on everyday we stay. It’s still the smoothest on-boarding and exit of any Vrbo stay we’ve had the pleasure of staying. The beds are sooooo comfortable, the kitchen is super stocked and the pool table is a nice touch. Cheers to Mat & Jan for ‘keeping the light on’ for us and opening their home to a much needed family weekend! Best regards, David & Lee (and family)

Anniversary weekend away
Nice house with the bonus of a very private area. The hot tub was a perfect place to see all the stars at night. The roads around the house are mostly gravel which might have been difficult if we had brought our motorcycle like we had planned but because of rain predicted we brought our car. Gorgeous view!

Hidden Gem
The pictures matched what we saw before getting there. Breathe taking views all around the property. Seems like you are far from others out there but you can get to a local store with in 10-15 minutes. Watching the sun set while relaxing in the hot tub was amazing . Definitely recommend if your looking for a staycation . Has plenty to do right there which was the best part. Comfy beds ,clean bathroom, an spacious kitchen . Thank you for sharing your home .

Sunsets for miles
The property is dreamy. Set at the top of mountains with incredible views. Go watch sunset in the back of the house. Easy to communicate with the owner Matt. Hope to visit again soon.

The house was very clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed the fireplace, fire pit and hot tub. Gorgeous views! Unfortunately it was rainy so we didn't get to walk around and explore much but hope to come back again! 5 stars all around

Exceptional Secluded Property
This modern house has all the nice touches including a great hot tub and fireplace. The house is secluded with a view of a rural valley and mountains in the distance. The house was spotless and everything worked as described. They get my highest recommendation.

Private Oasis
We were overwhelmed with the beauty of the property and the serenity the location offered. The hot tub was amazing and incredibly relaxing. The pool table and games were a great bonus since my husband used to be on a pool league and is now starting back into the sport. We relaxed on the back porch, in the living room, downstairs, and there is a wonderful fire pit outside and fireplace inside to enjoy. We look forward to booking again! The kitchen is well stocked and being able to park in the garage and unload our bags out of the rain was a huge perk! We loved our stay and cannot say enough good things. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing view and relaxing get away
The place was nice and clean, and the view was great. It was out in the country side. My friend and I do a yearly get together to catch up and the coziness, pool table, fireplace and hot tub made it so we could be homebodies and catch up. The host did well with communicating and the bed was comfy. Just overall a great stay.

It is as stated and an excellent place to stay. Despite the VRBO systems automated information, it is 50 min from the airport. The hot tub was great. The fireplace was plentifully furnished. There are plenty of blankets. The kitchen is well supplied.

We enjoyed our stay .
It was an extremely cold and windy weekend. The back door did not seal completely so the cold air whistled right in. We utilized the fireplace and after a chilly first night, the house was toasted warm with a fire and 2 space heaters. Hot tub was perfect. There was a pungent odor whafting up from the kitchen sick drain.

Wonderful getaway
We spent Christmas Day and two nights after at this adorable house. We were so impressed with how clean it was! The fire place is lovely. We used the hot tub and also built a fire outside. Matt, the host, was so friendly and responsive. We really felt right at home in this house and we all cant wait to come back. The view is absolutely breathtaking. If you’re looking for a getaway to unwind from the bustling city life, this is the house for you.

Beautiful stay!
Little house in the country was just what we needed! The hot tub was a bonus that was just amazing! The house was beautiful and the bedroom in the left corner of the house, AMAZING mattress! Sooooo comfortable! I will say this is a place to stay if your just going to stay only in the house. There are places near by but around 10-25 mins away! No food delivery! We hope to make this a yearly trip! Couldn’t be happier!

Beautiful location
We stayed at the house while visiting our student at Binghamton, so did not spend a lot of time in the house. But we found it lovely and as advertised. The house has beautiful views of the surrounding area and the hot tub was a nice touch. Be prepared that the local roads are quite rural and sometimes a bit difficult terrain, but worth it in the end.

The house was all that we expected and more.
The house was move-in ready. The best and cleanest we have experienced. The kitchen was very well equipped and also stocked with many staples plus a few unexpected bonuses. The deer coming down from the tree line and the fawns frolicking in the back yard was a special treat.

Short getaway
We arrived at the property a bit early and was met by the property owner/cleaner . We asked if we could possibly check in early because we needed the bathroom. It was not so we were given directions to town. We came back a few hrs later. I own a cleaning business so I checked the sheets which were dirty as well as the bbq toilet and stove. It did not pass my blacklight test urine stains on toilet as well as contaminated sheets and shower surfaces looked clean but in face were not. I called the host and he came and fixed everything which I was great full for as well as fresh linens. There were ample towels toilet paper and the jacuzzi was crystal clear. The views were amazing but the house smelled of mold terribly.

Hmm. No mention of our quick response to her complaint and additional cleaning was done on request. This guest was let in early when they returned early a second time (no prior request for early entry was made- she just showed up early with an attitude). Ironically, this guest didn't follow check out procedures and left the house quite a mess.

Hilltop Paradise
Beautiful home and location. It was spotless and well stocked with essentials when we arrived. Loved the firepit and pool table. Watching a lightning show during an evening thunderstorm was truly spectacular, as were the sunsets. Didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but we're coming back in a couple of months and will definitely watch the stars from there. Cannot recommend highly enough. Just book it! You won't be disappointed.
