My stay was very pleasant. When I arrived at Puerto Madryn airport I was notified that my car rental was canceled. I called the hotel up and within 15 minutes they had someone to pick me up. My room was ready and had the refrigerator stocked with ham, cheese, eggs, condiments and beverages. The cabinets had coffee and tea. All I needed for breakfast and lunch. They also had bottles of wine at the front desk and refrigerator for purchase.Every morning they delivered fresh bread which was amazingly good toasted with jam. I had the top corner room which gave me access to the balcony and rooftop. Also had my dog with me so ample room for him to walk around and sun tan. Great place to watch the stars. The view was amazing, literally just steps away from the beach. Morning runs and dogs walks on the beach we’re so relaxing. Due to my car rental being cancelation I was a little stressed out as not having access to tour the island at my own leisure and seeing the wildlife. The hotel was able to find a private tour guide Carlos a native and photographer to show me the island. He knew so much about the animal life and knowledgeable about when the orcas and whales might come to shore. The hotel was also able to find me a driver to the airport in Trelew which was 2 hours from the hotel for my departure. My experience which could have been disappointing, and stressful Océano Patagonia really came through in every aspect. I would 💯 recommend this place and would definitely be returning.

Dormir junto a las ballenas.
Reservamos la suite principal porque era lo único que les quedaba. Dos días sin agua caliente, con cortes de electricidad permanentes, sin WiFi, con la mochila del inodoro rota, con instalaciones eléctricas sin terminar y sin calefacción es lo más parecido a vivir junto a las ballenas. La limpieza brilla, pero por su ausencia. Y no sirven el desayuno, te dejan una bolsa de pan colgada en la puerta y te lo tenés que preparar vos. El parking está diseñado para guardar únicamente bicicletas, tuvimos que dejar el auto afuera porque el nuestro no entraba y lleno de equipaje porque no hay ascensor en el hotel. El personal muy amablemente nos dijo que ellos no eran responsables y que hacían todo lo posible por solucionar los “inconvenientes”, recordando la vieja frase de que el camino al infierno está empedrado de buenas intenciones. A las 10 de la noche del segundo día, antes de finalizar nuestra estadía, nos fuimos a otro hotel menos pretensioso y más económico. Tuvieron la decencia de pagarlo. Estábamos con nuestra bebé de 8 meses. Si quieren una buena vista es más conveniente, seguro, limpio y abrigado dormir en una carpa en la playa.

Great eco friendly hotel - kind of a mini village DIY stay, nice views, ingredients for breakfast, first floor Cero privacy - people passing all the time not just guest. Great restaurants nearby La Covacha and Refugio. Cons: Staff nos very attentive or helpful, except for Agustina really nice, attentive and patient.

Overall a very nice place and a fantastic stay. The location of the property, right on the beach is great. Waking up in the morning with the view on the bay in fantastic. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a fridge and kitchen utensils if you want to cook your own meal. Every day, you are given a loaf of bread and the fridge is filled with cream cheese, orange juice, cheese, butter, jam, dulce de leche for the next day breakfast, which is more than needed. The bed is large, a bit hard but comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A special star for Belen (at reception) who helped us sort the issue with our rental car. Some one bumped into our car and scratched it. She contacted the rental company in Puerto Madryn and coordinated the exchange of insurance documentation with them so that when we returned the car, everything was already sorted and we were not charged. Only negative point: the bathrooms hot water and water pressure are a bit whimsical. But I guess that in such remote areas, it is not easy to get perfect commodities. Overall we loved the place.

Me encantó Oceano Patagonia!!
Aunque al llegar no parece el hotel más bonito del mundo y tiene una entrada un poco rara, una vez dentro merece totalmente la pena. Está sobre la playa, con vista frontal al mar desde todas las habitaciones y una luz espectacular. Nosotros íbamos en Luna de Miel y se lo indicamos en la reserva. Al llegar nos dieron, por sorpresa, un upgrade a un estudio en la planta alta con acceso a una terraza privada tipo rooftop, con una vista maravillosa. ¡Un detallazo! El estudio tiene 2 habitaciones (una matrimonial y otra con dos camas), un baño completo, un aseo, y un salón con cocina integrada, además de una terraza grande que comunica salón y dormitorio. El hotel no ofrece desayuno como tal, pero la nevera de la habitación tiene zumo, jamón, queso, mantequilla, mermelada etc... y todos los días desde recepción te suben pan casero muy bueno. De esta forma puedes prepararte el desayuno que quieras, y es muy cómodo. Además tiene garaje cubierto y gratuito para dejar el coche. El único detalle "negativo" sería el baño principal, que aunque está renovado tiene detalles un poco antiguos como la ducha o los sumideros. Y el agua caliente (al menos durante nuestra estancia) va y viene mientras te estás duchando. Pero por lo demás, sin duda lo recomendaría y repetiría mi estancia en el hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and helped us plan our whale watches as well as trips further into the Peninsula Valdes park. While the ground floor rooms give you easy access to the beach, we opted for a 2nd floor room that gave us better views of the ocean. They provide you the ingredients for breakfast - eggs, cheese, juice, a fresh loaf of bread every day - which was great. We would either eat the eggs for breakfast or hard boil them to take with us for lunch. Would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing views of the whales
Excellent hotel with amazing views. Rooms are comfortable and very clean with great facilities. I'd echo what others said about the interconnecting rooms, you can hear every word your neighbour says. They need bricking up. Folks moaning about the WiFi or water need to realise they're on holiday in rural coastal Patagonia, it won't be as reliable as it is in London or California.

Ook kwa geluidsisolatie is beneden pijl. Vraag de bovenste kamers want als je iemand boven jouw hebt met een iets zwaardere manier van gaan, ben je meteen wakker of kan je niet slapen

The view was outstanding!! And the whales are the stars of the show. For that we could forgive almost anything. The room was very spacious and comfortable but there was a lack of care in the maintenance. There were leaks in the bathroom, the wifi didn't work and the insides of cupboards just hadn't been finished.

Good morning Anonymous! Thank you so much for choosing to spend your time with us at Océano Patagonia. It is a blessing to be situated on the beach with direct sight of the ocean and the beautiful whales. I'm so glad that they were present for you! Thank you for highlighting what needs attention, as well. This week our maintenance manger is on site and I have spoken to him this morning to address the concerns you have raised. He is also tasked with bringing a carpenter in to finalize the few interior cupboards that require finishing. I understand personally and apologies for your frustration with internet. Our wifi has boosters throughout the building, but as the internet is brought into the village via antenna relay the signal quality can be compromised depending on the number of users signed on. It is, at times, good for a remote area such as ours, and at other times lacking, and this can fluctuate in a matter of moments or hours depending on active users. We are working with other businesses in the area to determine if there is a better way to group our resources and improve the signal. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to provide feedback. Thank you for helping us continuously improve the quality of our service to our guests.

Positives: -Location - The hotel has an amazing location right on the beach with wonderful views of the golfo nuevo. Perfect for enjoying the beach and watching whales (during the season!). It was wonderful to wake up to the view and have the fresh air coming in. -Comfortable bed - the bed and sheets were comfortable Negatives: -Breakfast - the idea of having breakfast on your private balcony each morning sounds great and relaxing, but it wasn't well executed for a place marketing itself as a luxury property. The breakfast consisted of bread (homemade, but that crumbles apart at the slightest touch), jam, cream cheese, eggs (as in eggs in the shell to cook), dulce de leche sauce, coffee and orange juice. While it gets gets the job done, it leaves a lot to desire. The in-room kitchen is quite barebones and preparing breakfast required a lot of improvising. The whole process came across as the hotel being quite cheap and each day they forgot to refill the few ingredients they included. No fruit? No ham or cheese? No pastries? In our opinion having the hotel prepare it and bring it to the room in the morning when requested would be far more enjoyable. - Cleaning - The cleanliness of the room was acceptable, but the kitchen counter had lots of food remnants left on it when we arrived and the daily cleanings didn't seem to include sweeping the floor.

Great Stay-Excellent Service
Service was superior. Gustavo was terrific and arranged for me to take a private guide through the Peninsula at a very fair rate--Ask for Carlos--he does not speak English but pointed out animals in special places you would never have seen otherwise. He was a pleasant and respectful companion and made for a perfect day. The room I had was large and very, very cute with an ocean view. Bedsheets excellent. I loved it. BUT, big problem with connecting door to other suite--heard everything as if couple was in same room--I mean everything. It was very annoying--had to turn TV way way up to compensate. Management must replace those doors for better guest experience--I never heard a peep from the room on the other side. The breakfast was unique and special--they leave the ingredients for you to cook breakfast on your own. Included fresh eggs, orange juice, milk, jam, clotted cream and a fresh loaf of bread every day. Location was excellent. Was able to walk for several hours around the cove area exploring the beach, the fossils in the rock cliffs, and local birds. Kayaks, etc. from sellers right on beach. Can walk in seconds to tour places, and restaurants. For great light lunch or morning coffee go to El Viento Viente. One minute away, welcoming, and good light food. Beach fills up in the afternoons with lively groups and families. Very enjoyable environment. Warning: Wi Fi disappears peninsula-wide so don't count on it. This was a great stay.

Paradise in Puerto Piramides
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at Ocean Patagonia Wild Coast residence. The location right on the beach in Puerto Piramides can't be beat: our room had a wall of windows looking out onto the bay and a great little terrace for enjoying it. The rooms are cleverly set up with a kitchenette and the residence thoughtfully stocked the refrigerator every day with fresh eggs, fruit, coffee, milk, juice, water, and delicious locally baked bread. Staff were very helpful, friendly, and arranged trips for us to see penguins and other wildlife from private estancias. Town is very cute and fun and the location is extremely convenient to all restaurants and services--though once you're in your room all you see is that amazing view. This was the highpoint of a wonderful two-week trip to Argentina. We heartily recommend it. One caution: if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a ground floor room. We were happy to walk the two flights to ours on the top floor, but those expecting an elevator will be disappointed.

A wonderful place! The view was fantastic. The bed were quite comfortable and the room was spacious. We had a little problem with the toilet running and the AC didn't work - only the fan - so it got quite warm at night. But Gustavo was incredibly helpful and friendly, and we appreciated all that he did to help us book activities and make sure that our stay was great.

Very nice place, directly at the beach of puerto piramides. You can see whales any time of the day from your room. Its actually a small studio with cooking facilities. Good management. Slow wifi - well, you are basically at the end of the world. Enjoy!

Family only worth the penthouse.
The rooms are all small. The only room worth renting as a family (e.g., any kids) is the Penthouse. Otherwise the cramped space is really overpriced. The finishings are all rustic, but in some cases too much so. The walls, for example, look dirty and water damaged rather than whatever rough style they were after. We were upgraded to the penthouse for two nights and it saved our trip. But our first instinct was to seek other accommodation. The owner, pointedly, had NO interest in refunding or being flexible due to the misleading photos they've provided which makes the rooms look cleaner and larger than they are. Yes, we were within zero refund period, but we felt like we'd been fooled by the site. The penthouse is nice (two rooms, actual room to cook in the kitchenette area). The standard rooms are just too small. Also, do NOT bother with the terraza upgrade. The only difference is access to the roof which has ZERO furniture, just a crude bench and no redeeming additional quality other than being a little higher to see the bay - which you can see quite nicely from the balcony. Also, wifi was brutally slow.

This property is absolutely fantastic. The location is incredible, the staff are welcoming and incredibly helpful, and the rooms are beautiful. We would wake up in the morning, open our blinds (which kept the room very dark at night), and see whales right out front. Amazing. There is a little fridge in the room that they stock with milk, juice, dulce de leche and jam, and every evening they give you a fresh loaf of bread for your breakfast the next day. The floors are heated so also lovely when there in the colder seasons. Can't say enough good things about this place. And very quiet for sleeping. Gustavo was super helpful, made all kinds of arrangments for us before we arrived and dealt with all of our changes. He even phoned different restaurants one evening to try and find us to offer us other options for a tour we had booked!

Great place. Gustavo was helpful before we even arrived with finding a rental car and booking tours. Once we arrived everyone was welcoming and nice. It was exactly as advertised would absolutely stay again and would highly recommend.

Beautiful place.
My husband and I had just finished a cruise to Antartica and wanted to spend some time on the Valdez Peninsula to look for penguins. This was a great place to stay. It was very clean, the staff was very nice and helpful accommodating our needs. The bed was very large and comfortable and the view was amazing! The kitchenette was fully stocked and we pulled our table outside to have breakfast on the balcony as we watched the sunrise. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location.....on the Beach
My husband and I spent 2 nights at Oceano Patagonia while we were exploring the Peninsula, and found it provided a great base to do so. The hotel is located right on the beach in a sheltered bay....we stayed in a main floor room, so only had to step out onto our deck and then onto the sand! We found the room to be spacious and comfortable......really appreciated the coffee maker and well-equipped kitchen.....loved sitting out on the deck, enjoying our morning coffee, with the wonderful fresh bread that was delivered the night before! The bed and bedding were some of the best we had in our 2 week stay in Argentina.....and what a great shower! Wifi in the room was very spotty, but was good immediately outside the room at the Reception area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay and wished we spent the extra night there instead of going on to Puerto Madryn.
