Our room was not clean. The fridge contained the last occupant's food and the toilet had not been sufficiently cleaned. The staff emptied the fridge, but said it was paint in the toilet and didn't offer to clean it. It wasn't paint. We bought bleach and cleaned it ourselves. We appreciated having a fridge and microwave. Our room was also noisy on both sides and especially from the floor above.

Got there and had a very difficult time communicating with front desk person. Got in room it smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room. Dished in dishwasher dirty with stuck on food.

Everything was great except we didn't feel welcomed in. The hostess didn't seem to speak much English or know social expectations for this area. Any time we talked to her it was very short conversations. People from this area are overly friendly and like to talk and be personable to each guest with big smiles. I feel like there was a cultural block. That's my only piece of criticism. Everything was perfect especially breakfast!!! Will for sure be staying again soon. I found it to be super that we seen children quietly playing in the hallway. There's a lot of kids nowadays that are causing issues/trouble but not these kids! Need more kids like that with manners! Loved our stay for sure!

Expedia charged close to $150 per night for a place that was very poor in its appearance. There was a half naked man with a hooker staying in the parking lot. People are on crystal meth in that particular area and it seemed like the party hotel and many of them LIVE there. The room smelled musty, there was blood splatter on the bathroom floor, the rugs were old and felt damp when walking on it in socks. We booked a double bed room on the first floor, because I am handicapped, there were three of us, they did not have a first floor room like I had originally requested. Therefore, they gave us a small, one bed room with a king bed and a pull-out couch. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the pull out was even worse, with springs popping out. There was a fist fight outside our window at 2:00 a.m. All the cameras in the hallways were either facing a wall or had wires hanging as if they were not attached and working. We did not feel safe there! We would have left and gone to another hotel, but our reservation was non refundable. And to add injury to insult, an acquaintance was staying the same days and nights as us because we were all going to the same wedding, and they only paid $69 a night. (I booked months in advance) I’m very disappointed in both Expedia for charging so much and for Sure Stay Hotel in Presque Isle, Maine!

A good option
One of the better options in the Presque Isle area, but certainly not one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The guy that works the front desk is a little creepy. I have caught him watching me at my car through the window in his office, several times.

The facilities were nice. However, there weren't any eggs/has browns for breakfast when we came down. Also, this facility is very noisy. You can hear everyone in the hallway, as well as anyone outside. Overall, it was a decent stay, and I would stay there again when in the area.

SureStay Best Western - is a chain and I called to check on my reservation and was told that I did not have one. So I booked another. Had to pay for two rooms and there was not discussing this matter. I will not stay at a Best Western or SureStay again because of this. Also the place was very noisy all night. Mine was overhead and the other room that we did not need was noisy due to washing machines and foot trafic.

Loud, facilities were low quality in general, staff had low enthusiasm. I did feel the cleaning crew were doing a good job.

We needed to check out a day early and the manager charged us for the night. Stating that we need to give 48 hours notice to cancel. We did not cancel our reservation, we checked out early. Manager could have not charged for the last night but he was unwilling to be customer friendly.

Stay was ! It was bit of a wait for service upon arrival. Staff was friendly and did apologize for the wait. The driveway was half blocked off as they were doing maintenance to pavement. This made it bit inconvenient for parking when returning later in the evening.Overall we enjoyed the stay and Presqueisle! 😊

Bathroom was tiny and the shower drained very slowly-so standing in a few inches of water for your shower. No elevator, so lugging bags upstairs was a must. Beds were nice and comfortable, pillows were also nice. Staff was courteous. Never tried breakfast so cannot comment.
