Great boutique resort. Very clean, staff was attentive and awesome. Location is close to many popular destinations for dining like Rockas and El Fogon or beach locations like Mamitas. The food was great as well. Nice rooftop pool. It’s more on the calm end of a resort. Super chill vibe if you’re looking for a resort to have good food and drinks, and relax in a clean hotel.

Due to our previous experience, we were expecting a resort with a private beach, a huge swimming pool, a swim-up bar, multiple buffet and specialty restaurants, nightly live performances, including walking trails with opportunities to see wildlife, and included transportation. We found none of those as Yucatan Resort, a hotel located next to the tourist-crowded Fifth Avenue, offered a different experience. It had a small team of staff to work at two rooftop restaurants next to a small pool. As an all-inclusive resort, unlimited drinks were included, but the menu had very limited options (we tried everything in two days). Anything that spells s-t-e-a-k-s would cost extra!   Having said that, the resort offered live music (bands and DJs) next to the pool for a couple of hours from Friday to Sunday. The staff were generally friendly and the building was well-maintained.

We stayed at the Yucatán with an all inclusive package. The service was excellent! Yessica, Epi, Ivan and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make our stay special and were very attentive. The hotel was very clean, and food and drinks were wonderful. The hotel has a very calm energy, which is great since the rest of the city is so lively. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach, a two minute walk to a popular tourist street with food, shopping and entertainment. My only complaint is that our room was located close to a venue/bar that doesn’t close until 2am or so, so if you have early morning activities know that falling asleep early might be difficult with the commotion from the street. Aside from that it was a lovely stay! I would definitely come back.

The property was good and clean. The food options were not good at all! For it being an all exclusive your options were limited! Every meal was a sit down meal and you were unable to grab and go! Every time you ordered food you’d wait 1 1/2 hours. Most times if we had plans we had to do it around how long the food would take which a lot of the times it would run into our excursion times! It was not worth paying for the all inclusive part! The liquor was also bottom shelf.

Lovely property conveniently located (5 minute walk from the beach). Excellent staff. The hotel could use some upgrades (worn window drapes, sputtering taps, etc.). The a la carte menu is delicious and offers lots of variety for a few days (less than a week). The snack bar had lots of fresh guava that we enjoyed daily. The noise at night is great music but may be disturbing to some.

The staff was excellent. The property borders 5th Avenue. Which is a very busy street with a lot of night life. If that is why you are going to Mexico then this property will be excellent for you. However, I did not and therefore did not enjoy very loud music coming from the bars until 2:30 in the morning, which actually seemed to get louder at 1 or 2 am. I am new to travelling to Mexico so I understand that is my lack of awareness, not blaming the hotel but would have been nice if that was presented in the information when making the booking.

Nice resort - friendly staff - could use additional umbrellas at the pool - great food but could have a larger selection - loud area to stay in due to proximity to 5th avenue and the other close resorts; however, there is direct access to 5th Avenue, which is also positive!

Staff was friendly. Upon arrival the room was in need of maintenance. Smell of mold needed to use my inhaler. I had to get the AC cleaned and even with that when turning in the heat on a smell of mold came through the unit. The sink was clogged, the refrigerator would not get cold. All inclusive I don’t think so too many schedules to keep up with. Or you end up buying food outside of the hotel. The romantic dinner was not worth the price!! Food very average lobster over cooked dry and steak aswell portion was small. No roof top heaters it was cold and uncomfortable as they don’t have any indoor dinning in options. Desert tasted curded like it was no good like a freezer burn taste. The 24 snack area had a small fridge that made the food taste bad and seem stale. They were low on water most the time. The room service is also on a time schedule. Breakfast was slow. I expected more from the Hilton guess not!!!!

Lovely boutique hotel but a bit noisey
Lovely boutique hotel very close to 5th avenue in play del carmen. Staff are great. The ambience of the hotel is A1. Nice rooftop also. The score has been lowered due to an uncomfortable night in a room that had a noisey AC system. Everytime the AC went on it clanked loudly and the AC was very noisey. My bed was too soft. I was close to a road that had loud music playing. I got woken up at 3am from screaming/laughing - probably as a club closed. I would say still consider the hotel but maybe ask for a room away from the main roads. I was only there for a night so did not ask to be moved. I also thought as being part of the Hilton Group we would have the famous Hilton breakfast but it was off the menu. The cocktails were a bit weak.

The experience attempting to check in was awful. The person ( female) on duty was extremely rude and the room was atrocious. The room was not what we booked as per detailed online. We were very disappointed and expect a full refund.

This is a small resort, so you get to know both the staff and other guests during your stay. We met some really great people here and hung out with them for a lot pf our stay. The food is a mixed bag. Some of it is very good, some of it is not. You figure out what's good after a few days. There is very little shade on the roof. Some umbrellas would made a huge difference as it is very hot midday. Overall great location, and we had a lot of fun. Ask for a room away from Quinta Avenida, it gets loud at night!

For a 5star hotel it did not meet my expectations. Although they had table service, the food choices were very limited. The room had plaster falling from the walls. The towels were not changed regularly- we had two days of ripped tattered bath towels. The shower was cold until the last morning. The doors to the room are not sealed and we had a large bug visit us by crawling under the door the first night. The staff was great but were friendly and nice but we always had to ak for missing items on the dining table. There is a coffee bar with snacks but never any cups and they left forks to eat yogurt with. Overall this is a 3star hotel at the best based on service. The last thing is they turn the lights off on the stairs at night so you need to use a flashlight (phone) to navigate the dark stairways. For the money paid I am very disappointed.

La propiedad tiene una excelente ubicación, y muy conveniente para caminar y conocer la zona. El problema está en los detalles, (sillones sucios, servicio de resurtido en el área de cafetería tardados, a menos que saludes la gente no te dirige la palabra. Personas que nos gustaría mencionar pues hicieron que nos sintiéramos en casa: En el restaurante El Mural Sara, Iván, Luis y Habibe, nuestra recepcionista y Joana que nos ayudó con servicios de reservas de Spa y Amenidades.

Overall this hotel was perfect for my vacation. I spent a lot of time off property, but had unlimited food and drinks and a clean room to come back to each day.(hint, bring a sound machine as it’s very close to loud restaurants). If you’re looking for luxury with over the top service, this place is not for you. I would absolutely return here, given I am not very needy. Pros- location is amazing(both the beach and 5th Ave are around the corner), rooms and property are modern with plenty of greenery, food and beverage was good, staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Cons- service is nothing to brag about, plan to spend atleast an hour and half at any restaurant here and you likely will not get exactly what you ordered. Towels were an issue. They would not give my room more than one wash rag per day, there were 2 of us.
