Best location in Paris
We loved spending our time in Paris on St Louis, which is like a small village within the city, as easy to get to the 5th (Monge, Mouffetard, Sorbonne, etc.) as to the 3rd and 4th (the Marais). There are so many great cafes and restaurants on the island, lovely fresh produce stores and of course St Louis is home to Berthillon. The apartment is comfortable and well appointed, with high ceilings, original features and a fabulous ever-changing view of rue St Louis en Ile from the gorgeous main window. Daniel was courteous, clear and prompt in replying to messages. If you have mobility issues, be aware that there are seven steps from the lift landing up to the apartment door.

Cute Parisienne Apt in Notre Dame
This is a gorgeous little apartment in a fabulous location in a beautiful old building. I walked everywhere! In fact I didn't catch the metro once. Cafes at your door and spoilt for choice with gelato. There's a lift which is such a bonus if you have a suitcase. Check-in wasn't as smooth as I'd like and it was a little annoying have to buy toilet paper as there were no spares. Also the downlights in the lounge room flickered so really couldn't be used which made it difficult to read in that room in the evening. Hopefully these are things that will be fixed for future guests? Would I stay again. Yes. :)

Our 2 nights in Paris
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment in an excellent location close to everything in Paris. Bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. Is my was a perfect 2 days.

Lovely spot in the center of it all
A perfect pied-a-terre in Paris. Well maintained and great for the two of us. We walked to the Marais, Latin Quarter and museums. Had coffee every morning at the St. Regis looking out over the Seine. Excellent Metro access. We absolutely loved it!

Excellent location, cozy apt
The location is excellent, on the (what we called) the little island, right next to the "big island" where ND is. The apt is right in the center of things, yet quiet at night for a good night's rest. There are shops all along the streets; boulangeries, grocery stores, little gifts/novelties shops, coffee, smoothie, and gelato shops - we loved the gelato right across, it was convenient enough to send our 12-year-old to get some treats (while we watched him from the apt window above). Everywhere you went, you would cross a bridge - just beautiful! The hosts were very responsive, we were welcomed in person and got the lay of the land when we arrived. Everything was neat and clean. The apt would be smallish for 4 adults, but would be fine for a family with two young kids. Perfect for a couple.

Magical experience!
I can't imagine a more wonderful place to stay in Paris than this darling apartment in the heart of the city. The accommodations were lovely, the host was generous, and the feeling of being part of a charming neighborhood was priceless! I hope to return one day for another stay.

Heart of the old city!
My grand daughters and I came in on the train and walked a few short blocks past Notre Dame to our VRBO. The room was quaint and sufficient for the 3 of us. We found our way to the metro and rode a short distance to the Lourve. Very centrally located.

Best for a couple
We are three older women - a couple (53 and 64) and an older sister (nearly 70). This apartment with both air conditioning and an elevator is amazingly situated on Île St Louis, just steps away from Notre Dame, and within walking distance of some of the best sights in Paris. There are wonderful bistros within one or two blocks, crepes to die for, and great shopping opportunities right in the Île. The bedroom accommodation was very good and comfortable, however, the bathroom is only accessible by going through the bedroom. This was frustrating for both a light sleeper and the older sister, who stayed on the very uncomfortable pull out couch (realistically, though, are these ever really comfortable?). For this reason I say that a couple may be better suited for this apartment rather than 3 or 4. I do highly recommend this apartment,though, for its location and convenience!

Very interesting place to stay and visit
Very interesting place to stay and visit. Many interesting places to investigate and walk around the island. Notre Dame is very close as well as the spots along the Seine. There are also very good restaurants, cafés, and places to shop for chocolate, cheese, bakery for excellent pastries and pain of all kinds. The apartment has all amenities including air-conditioning. It is on the small side but we enjoyed it a great deal.

Perfect Paris Experience
Rented this apartment for my mom and aunt both seniors in good shape. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They paid the extra euros for early check-in but unfortunately there was an unforseen circumstance and the apartment wasn't ready altho they were allowed to leave luggage (and were still charged). The apartment was not completely ready when they were able to enter but another cleaner came back the following day. Communication with the host was very good and he did do his best to help them with their issues of not knowing how to work things! Over all was a good experience.

Ideal Location
The apartment couldn't have a better location and is perfect for a couple. It is quite small and additional guests will have to walk through the bedroom to get to the tiny bathroom. There was one thin towel set per person provided for an 8 night stay. However, there is a washer/dryer so not too big of a problem. We would have liked to have access to at least an extra trash bag and more than a half roll of toilet paper. Only real downside was a party in the building that lasted till 3am on Friday night. I would hope that it's not a common event. You pick this apartment because you want the native lifestyle - so you'll frequent the quaint mini-mart across the street. The owner was very responsive to our many questions upon arrival. We highly recommend this apartment for a couple who want to live the Parisian life for their vacation. Also enjoyed the afternoon piano practice by the classical pianist who uses the piano in the shop across the street. Leave the beautiful window open at all times to hear the morning horses of the mounted police, church bells and of course the piano!

Great Location
Fun area. Medium quality restaurants nearby. Good grocery nearby. Laundry done for you by kilo 10 minute walk. No microwave but hot water pot and nespresso machine. Good bedroom and reasonable shower. Overall we would stay again. Great communication with owner. Easy check out but requires in person check in which need to work out when you arrive on international flight, etc. Not a problem if have phone. Again, we enjoyed the apartment and would rent it again Easy transportation by foot, metro or Uber.

Fantastic Location!
Easy , personable check in. Restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, shops very close by. Apartment is in need of a few improvements: towels were sparse and old( we were there for 10 days) , need a soap dish, the sofa has buttons missing etc. Very safe and quiet neighborhood.

Great location
Overall, this is a very nice place in Paris. The location is fantastic and quiet. It was great having a full bedroom with a very comfortable mattress plus a comfortable sofa bed. The kitchen had all the essentials that we needed with two types of coffee makers.

2nd stay on Isle St Louis
1st stay in 2013 at different apt. This apt in better location on main drag on Isle. Nicely furnished and good access with elevator. Could have been a little cleaner but was very accetable. Having wasing machine and dryer big plus. Would definitely stay here again. Owner very easy and responsive communiation.

Outstanding apartment in my favorite location in Paris
The apartment is ideally located for virtually everything in Paris - and most within walking distance. Isle St. Louis is a small, charming island in the Seine with charm and lovely shopping and restaurants. It is next to Isle de la Cite where Notre Dame and other famous structures are located. Great places to have a coffee or a glass of wine. The apartment is in a building with an elevator -not always common in France! It is charming, perfect for two and with a pullout sofe OK for three. There are all of the necessary devices (ie coffee maker) to make your mornings delightful. Lovely stay. Highly recommend.

Construction center: noisy, unappealing, and tiny
I do not understand the glowing reviews: the lobby was an open construction site, dusty and dirty, the stairway was dark and not negotiable even in broad daylight. The apartment was extremely small and dark, with old and somewhat tattered furniture that was uncomfortable to sit on. While other reviews discuss the great location, I disagree: the Island is a 20-25 minute walk to just about any cool place, and during the afternoon is filled with crowds of tourists. The island itself is pretty uninviting, with one good bar/cafe at the end, and a very good Turkish restaurant in the middle. Other than that, pretty uninspiring. Best aspects of the apartment were the washing machine and the elevator. The bed was comfortable but it took up 97% of the bedroom area. Another plus was that the owner responded quickly to requests, which was very much appreciated.

Elegant and charming stay in beautiful Ile Saint Louis
This apartment was as elegant and charming as advertised. My children loved opening the beautiful, large window and watching all the activity on the street below. Location ideal. Owner was very hospitable and always available for questions. We were so sad our stay ended!

Location great but dirty
Great location on the small island with great stores and food nearby. The apartment however quaint, was very used and dirty with mold all over the bathroom and dirty appliances. Artwork was missing, many things broken or missing, thin and scratchy single set of towels, walls very dirty and major courtyard/roof construction going on so we were woken up early every morning and had to keep the bedroom and entry windows closed. This made the apartment very dark. The phone did t work for local calls and none of the photos listed are realistic or accurate. That must have been 10 years ago. Hosts were sweet

Great location in Paris
We spent a week at the apartment at the end of May. The property is centrally located, with shops and restaurants right out the door. The check-in/checkout were easy, and Daniel responded quickly to any questions we had. The apartment is in need of some tender loving care: surfaces were dusty and sticky, light bulbs were missing, and curtains need to be fixed. The towels were worn and stained, and should be replaced. With some attention to detail, and routine maintenance, this apartment could be a real gem.

Sorry we stayed here
This apartment is in a good location but it is not worth the high price asked. The bathroom walls and ceiling have mold and the paint is peeling, the shower walls were not clean, the bedroom curtains didn’t close properly, the LR chairs were old and uncomfortable. Provided two tired bath towels and one tiny tiny bar of soap, no paper towels/napkins, barely enough TP, no coffee filters. Also, I asked ahead of time if the apt was quiet because we like pm naps. Owner failed to disclose there was noisy construction right outside BR window in inner courtyard all day long so no way to use BR in daytime. When I contacted owner he blamed workers and took no responsibility for not having mentioned the construction before. Had I known ahead of time I never would have booked, or I would have canceled. He offered credit for a later stay but not for this stay. NOT a premium host! We will not stay here again.

Always sad to read a review like this. The 17th century building needed renewal of the roof top The work was originally planed to start in September for 4 months. Planning has shifted and we are now only finishing. The apartment rental value is made of the location, the size, the lift and A/C. Although we only rent 120 nights per year the apartment is refreshed every year after high spring and summer season.

The apartment was perfect for two women. I slept on the couch that made into a bed and it was comfortable. The bedroom bed was luxurious. The apartment was quintessentially French, so the apartment and location were a dream come true.

Beautiful Neighborhood
The apartment is located on a lovely street on Isle Saint Louis with a flower shop, cheese shop, wine shop, grocery store, and very good restaurants. We were very disappointed because the building was under renovation and workers started hammering outside our bedroom beginning at 7:30am. We contacted the apartment manager and Daniel arranged for the workers to begin later in the morning. The inside of the apartment could have used some tender loving care.

The location of this apartment is fantastic. There are metro stops close by on two different lines making transportation easy. It is quiet at night making sleeping easy. The check in process was a breeze and communication was very easy. We will happily stay there again.

This property is in a great location for a stay in Paris. It is close to the metro and it is easy to get to numerous attractions. The property is well-equipped to prepare meals and close to several markets but also surrounded by many wonderful restaurants and shops. The apartment is cozy and comfortable, check in and out was easy, and communication was good. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Great location, functional apartment
This apartment is in a fabulous location on an upscale island in the heart of Paris. Nice shops and restaurants on the street. The apartment was quiet. This is a functional apartment for someone who doesn't want to spend much time in it. It's not for someone who wants to cook because the kitchen area is tiny, as are the sink and oven. A big person might have difficulty moving about the bedroom and bathroom as they are compact. In contrast to all the other apartments we have stayed in, this one did not feel loved. For example, the dishes were chipped and the towels were threadbare. For many people, none of this would matter. We loved the area, but the apartment was more of a place to sleep than a highlight.

Fantastic Location
We stayed at the apartment seven years ago and were so happy to return. The location cannot be beaten. Île-St.-Louis is like its own little village and we love it. The apartment is easy to navigate, secure and so charming. There is nothing better than opening the gorgeous, huge windows and just taking in the scene and hearing the sounds of the neighborhood. It’s heavenly. The bed and pullout sofa are also extremely comfortable. We recommend this apartment with confidence.

The Perfect Paris Experience
This apartment is the perfect place to live like a Parisian. Everything about it has that old world feeling. Though small, it has everything one needs for a relaxing stay. The bed is super confortable, the lighting is cleverly distributed, charming details abound. Wonderful Stay in old Paris.
This is a small apartment in a very old dwelling in the Île Saint-Louis in literally the center of the city. The description in the VRBO site is spot on. The Kitchen is well stocked in terms of utensils and cutlery with a great Microwave Oven combo and an Induction stove. The Heating works very well and the showers are Hot. The location is fabulous. One can take long walks from there and see a different perspective of Paris. It is very convenient for the subway and also the RER train from the Airport. I would highly recommend this charmer over a Hotel any day.

Loved our stay
I highly recommend this property. Yes, it’s not large (I don’t recommend more than 2 ple), but it’s charming and well kept. It’s a building from the 1600’s but renovated. Check-in was very easy, communication with owner as well. The location really cannot be beat, even having been to Paris before, I didn’t realize how great this location would be. My boyfriend would like me to add how great the water pressure is lol. Recommend, and hope to be back! :)

Lovely Apartment in Superb Location
My husband and I stayed here for five days and it was heaven. You cannot beat this location. It is convenient for many attractions, shopping, dining and metro stops. The apartment is comfortable, well appointed with everything you need and very quiet....considering it's central location. We loved the large windows over looking the street. The owner was easy to contact and check-in was simple and quick. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay!
We stayed with our two young sons. Checking in and out was very easy. It is a nice apartment. Perfect size with everything we needed. The location is wonderful! Many shops and restaurants nearby and it's close to trains.

Beautiful and perfectly located apartment!
We often rent apartments in Paris and were delighted to find this little gem. Valentin could not have been nicer or more helpful. We enjoyed both an early check-in and a late check-out (Nominal fee) and really just had a wonderful time overall. Loved this charming apartment!

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön gelegen. Wir konnten viele Orte zu Fuss erkunden. Die Metroverbindungen überall hin sind optimal. Für 2 Personen ist die Wohnung von der Grösse her ideal. Mit 3 oder vier, bleibt nicht mehr viel Platz. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Charming apartment - Best location in Paris
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is perfectly located to walk to most of the areas we wanted to see. Being able to purchase food and wine just a few doors away was great. We loved coming back after exploring to relax for a while before heading out for dinner. Planning on coming back after Notre Dame re-opens. Will definitely stay here again!

The apartment is wonderful. Beautiful decoration. comfortable bed. It has everything you need. Located right in the heart of Paris very close to Notre Dame. We were delighted to stay at this property.
