Excellent Location
Located in front of 7av station within 20min from Times Sq. in a beautiful and nice neighboorhood. Mrs Sonja is a great hostess and helped us with everything we needed! The apartment is wide and well furbished. There was a little mess with the keys but I think it will be solved in the future, so no problem.

Lots of positives but one big drawback
The apartment is clean, cozy and well located. The one big downside is the bar downstairs. They play loud music until 3 am on Friday and Saturday. On other days they stay open until around midnight. The bass of the music came up through the floor and made it hard to sleep. Otherwise the apartment was very quiet with only occasional street noise.

Convenient location
The location in Brooklyn is great - short distance from three different subway stations that will take you to different parts of Manhattan. It's also a short walk from Prospect Park and various restaurants, cafes and shops in Prospect Heights and Park Slope. The apartment is quite compact but has everything you need for a short stay. The main drawback is the bar downstairs, which made it quite difficult to sleep on the weekends. The apartment can do with some updating and a bit more TLC - it's a bit worn in places. Also, you'll need to navigate two flights of stairs as there is no elevator. Overall, I can recommend the location and the neighbourhood.

Brooklyn beauty
The apartment is in the hub of Brooklyn. Located on a main road it has aces to everything you could want in in a NYC experience. Located near shops restaurants, 4 main train lines, buses outside the door and only 15 _20 min from manhattan. Shopping strips in ealking distance and the perfect location without manhattan prices. Loved everyhing about our stay here. Chic apartment and a great stay

Perfect location
The apartment has all the amenities. A fully equipped kitchen, a full bath, a nice size living room and a separate bedroom. On the street is a drug store, a grocery store and several restaurants . Plus across the street is a B,Q subway stop.

Great location, lovely place!
We returned to this apartment for its great location to family and subway in Park Slope. Nice living space, separate bedroom, well equipped kitchen. (Note: Bring your own can opener.) Location continues to be very noisy, just have to get used to it. AC was wonderful!

Great place ... Has everything you'd need
The apartment is exactly as pictured. The apartment has every kitchen amenity/appliance a person could possibly need or use. The a/c cooled the unit nicely. Something people need to know, which didn't impact us, is that it's a walk up and there is a bar downstairs. None of this had any impact on us and we even went to the bar. The restaurants to the left and right are awesome. The owner's of the market down the block are friendly and had everything we needed. Keyfood is around the block and the location is perfect! The apartment was super cool and everything worked. Thanks for making this a great stay!

Excellent Brooklyn Location!
The property is tucked away in Brooklyn with access to anything you would need. We felt safe at all times! There is noise due to city life however it’s nothing intolerable ( the club down stairs was not an issue). It has a Starbucks across the road as well as a farmers market. There is plenty of food choices within walking distance as well- we loved Sweet Chicks. ( the chicken and waffles is a must have). Sonja was an excellent host and was only a phone call away! She was super helpful and accommodating- I highly recommend this place if you are considering somewhere with quick access to Manhattan as the “Q” train is directly across the road. We loved our stay here!

Excellent location.
The location was amazing, host fantastic but the accommodation was only ok. The bed was not to our liking as it sunk in the middle. The bedroom fan could not be put above level 1 as it made a terrible noise. Also the noise made from outside can be clearly be heard.

Great location. Nice, clean and well-equipped apartment.
I stayed six nights at the apartment with my daughter. We appreciated the location with subway and Starbucks across the street. It was easy to take the Q train to Manhattan. The location in Brooklyn and the trains gave us a sight to life of local people. Brooklyn Museum and its Frida Kahlo exhibition was close to the apartment. We had to struggle a bit with the locks and the keys, especially at the beginning of our stay. But we learned and managed to get in and out every time. The stairs in the hallway are steep and narrow, but we managed to get our luggage up to the apartment. The apartment was a bit cold at the beginning, but we contacted the host and with her instructions it became warmer. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well most of the time. The noise from the street and the music from the bar downstairs were disturbing at the beginning, but we got used to them. All in all we were happy with our stay.

Loved our stay. Would highly recommend.
We have recently returned from a 12 night Christmas and New year holiday in this lovely apartment. The apartment was very clean and homely and had everything you could need for a stay. The location was perfect..opposite the 7th ave subway and a 15/20 min journey to Manhatten. We looked forward to returning after a long day sightseeing and getting in to the very comfy bed. We spent a lot of time exploring the local neighbourhood Park Slope. Treelined streets with Brownstone houses. The bars and restaurants on 5th avenue were all very good and the locals very friendly. So much choice and much better value than Manhattan and the tourist traps! We never got to meet Sonja but she was the perfect host and kept in touch throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and explore Brooklyn further. Loved every minute.

Great and comfortable apartment!
Well-maintained and comfortable; great access to the subway and only minutes to Manhattan on the Q line. If stairs are a problem, the third floor might be a concern; the apartment windows are soundproof from the street noise; however, the bar music below continues into hours after midnight. We turned it out. Sonja was available to answer any questions and checked on us. We loved being in Brooklyn vs Manhattan’s crowds and would definitely stay here again. Comfy queen bed too.

Zentrale gelegene gemütliche kleine Wohnung
Zentrale gelegene gemütliche kleine Wohnung. Jedoch wirklich nur für zwei Personen geeignet. Durch die Bar im Erdgeschoss und die Straße ist es nachts sehr laut. Wer damit Probleme hat, sollte die Wohnung meiden. Sonst aber sauber und komplett ausgestattet und wie erwähnt sehr gut erschlossen.

Sehr schön eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Ausstattung und Verkehrsanbindung sind gut. Die Bar unter der Ferienwohnung ist am Wochenende sehr laut. Ansonsten alles top.

Beautiful Condo in Brooklyn
We absolutely loved this rental!!! The decor was so charming and except for the pillows on the bed, everything was so comfortable and easy to use. In spite of soundproof Windows, there is still the drone of noise from the club below but this seemed to be on weekend nights only and quite frankly it didn't bother us at all. This condo offers a lot of value for the money and I know we will be back since our daughter lives a few blocks away. Thank you to the owner who was very responsive and even took the time to check up on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. I forgot to also mention that a major subway stop is right across the street and a grocery store is almost next door. Beautiful, convenient, and a true value for the money!!!

Overall our stay at Sonja's place was very good. Great experience that we will repeat for sure
Sonja's place is located in a very easily reachable and safe area of Brooklyn. There is a subway stop just across the street and 2 other stops at walking distance if you need to take other subway lines. Manhattan is roughly 20 min by subway. There are plenty of supermarkets and shops around the area and a Starbucks just across the street. There are also a lot of different restaurants in the area if you want to try different cuisines (Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, American, Italian etc) The flat is exactly as the pictures show. A super equipped kitchen with every possible utensil available to use! The flat is perfect for a couple as the pull out bed is not very conformable but nothing to worry about. The flat is located above a bar which can get a bit loud on certain nights but with the windows closed the flat remains quiet. Sonja was just a quick phone call away and was very accommodating with our request to store our bags at the flat the whole day whilst waiting for our end of the day flight. When you arrive at the flat you find a complete list of restaurants/things to see/things to do in the area which came very handy! Overall our stay was very good - flat was very clean and comfortable. We will certainly recommend it to our friends and family.

Nice location
The apartment worked for what we needed. Q train was directly across the street and took us right into Manhattan. After a long day in Manhattan it was nice to come back and be away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The two chairs could be a little more comfortable or have some kind of cushion. The bed was comfortable and kitchen was nice. Would of really liked more towels. We were only given 4 bath towels for 3 people for 5 days. I did contact Sonja for more which she dropped off but took the four we had started with. Stairs are a challenge but not the worst. We weren’t quite sure which apartment was which as nothing is marked. The street was going through construction while we were there so it was a little noisy but not the owners fault obviously. All in all, nice Brooklyn apartment with easy access to Manhattan. Only complaint is wish previous renters hadn’t stole towels so she could trust future renters.

The apartment was well stocked and furnished. It is a steep set of stairs that you have to climb but that was part of the city fun for me. The apartment is also located over a nightclub that is loud well into the night, but again sort of great city life experience! Would definitely be back.

Comfy, Classy, & Convenient!
I booked this place for my parents mainly, knowing I would be staying one night with them as well. Sonja was an attentive host, contacting us before the trip to make sure we knew check-in time and procedure. She also called my parents after they got in to make sure everything was ok for them, and let them know she was only a phone call away if they needed anything. The apartment is up a couple flights of tall stairs, and over a bar that can get a little rowdy, but a window AC unit (and maybe some earplugs) made it all just fine. The third sleeping space is a pull-out couch and definitely not great. But I was only there for a night, and my parents said their bed was great. I don’t recommend using the couch for any longer than one night. The bathroom is a great size, and while the kitchen is small, the floor plan is pretty open and it was all very nice and high end. The location is really what makes this place shine. It’s immediately across Flatbush Ave (a main Brooklyn thoroughfare) from a subway station, and you can take the Q line straight into midtown. If you had another destination in mind it’s just a very short walk to the Grand Army Plaza station. I will be keeping this in my favorites list and visit again if I get a chance. Great place, great price, great location.

Amazing cozy apartment tucked away in the heart of Brooklyn
We stayed in Sonja's place after a 2 week Italian vacation, and it was easily the nicest place we stayed our entire trip! Very cozy apartment with absolutely every thing you could ever need. Very comfortable bed and AC works great (it was 90 degrees while we were there). Great shower and a huge perk was the hairdryer for me, since I was packing light and traveling without one! We were initially very discouraged when we first arrived as it was late at night and the bar downstairs was extremely loud downstairs - but you cannot hear anything when you're upstairs in the apartment! Very close to the train which was awesome, as well as some great restaurants and bars! We loved Sweet Chicks and Taro Sushi, and there are many many more right on Flatbush. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Tip: On Saturday mornings, there is a wonderful farmers market at Prospect Park to walk through and grab some breakfast tacos and coffee!

German's in Brooklyn and New York
We could not have found a better place. We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is very clean, beautiful decorated and felt like home. The kitchenette had everything you need and we were provided with coffee, teas and spices to cook. Even though we did not meet Sonja personally, but we had good contact on HomeAway. Sonja had left some good information on the table that helped us a lot. There are different restaurants and shops within walking distance. The location is great with access to public transportation and it’s super easy to get into the city. But don’t forget the very interesting neighborhood of Brooklyn. If we return to the big city again, we would definitely stay here again. We recommend this apartment. Jetzt vielleicht auch ein paar Sätze in deutsch: Das Appartment von Sonja ist für New Yorker Verhältnisse groß und komfortabel. Für einen Kurzurlaub ist auch alles Notwendige sowohl im Bad (Toilettenartikel im Spiegelschrank) als auch in der Küche (Kaffee, Tee, Gewürze) vorhanden. Im Vorratsschrank liegen genügend Handtücher und einiges, was man sonst noch brauchen könnte. Das sehr saubere Appartment in der 2. Etage (die 1. Etage wird zurzeit renoviert, was aber nicht stört) liegt an der Hauptstraße, doch die gut gedämmten Fenster halten den Verkehrslärm ziemlich gut ab. Vor dem Haus hält der Bus und die Metrostation ist gleich an der Ecke. Man ist sehr schnell in Manhattan und sollte darüber hinaus aber Brooklyn nicht vergessen. Gleich in der Nachbarschaft sind sehr schöne alte Brownstone-Häuser und auch gute Restaurants und Food Stores Einkaufmöglichkeiten. Von Tom's Restaurant, was sehr sehr angepriesen wird, waren wir allerdings sehr enttäuscht. Alles in allem, hat uns die Lage und Größe des Appartments von Sonja sehr zugesagt. Wir können es empfehlen und würden auch immer wiederkommen.

Nice apartment, great price and a decent location but noisy
The apartment is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Plenty of room for 3 people, very close to Prospect Park and tons of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Check-in/out was very easy and we did enjoy our stay but.....it's right on Flatbush Ave so there's a lot of typical NY main thoroughfare noise. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and there are two flights of fairly steep stairs, a little tricky for two older females getting luggage up and down. There's also a bar/lounge on the ground floor with music playing until 3 AM. A white noise machine or app on your phone will be a lifesaver!

Convenient and Comfortable
The apartment was very convenient for us because we came to see my nephew nearby. Also, the 7th Ave. subway stop is a half block away for a direct line to Manhattan. It is also nicely furnished and Sonja was very cordial and helpful.

A 30 metri dalla fermata della metro. 3 fermate da Manhattan, molto vicino al Barclay's center, diversi bar e ristoranti nella zona, supermarket aperto 24 ore su 24 a 100 mt. Appartamento abbastanza spazioso per gli standard della città, cucina e necessario per cucinare. Non abbiamo incontrato Sonja ma è stata molto disponibile a fornirmi le informazioni necessarie al soggiorno. Effettivamente c'è un locale sulla strada con musica fino a tardi, ma sinceramente, sarà per la stanchezza delle giornate sempre in giro, la musica non ci ha mai disturbato.

Beautiful apartment, fantastic host
Sonja was very thorough with her preparation and ever so kind and patient in helping us navigate the place. The bar downstairs wasn’t too bad during our stay, but she made it clear that she was absolutely on our side if the music were to become unbearable. Would definitely stay there again!

Zwei wunderschöne Wochen in New York City
Die Wohnung liegt sehr günstig, U-Bahnstationen, Geschäfte und Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Umgebung. In der Wohnung ist alles, wirklich alles, was man benötigt vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und gemütlich. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Ein Nachteil ist die laute Musik von der Bar im Erdgeschoss, vor allem am Wochenende ist das sehr störend, zumal die Musik durch die Heizung verstärkt weiter geleitet wird. Charming little flat
Good location: subway on your doorstep, supermarkets, cafes and restaurant nearby (check out Sushi Lin next door. Excellent!). Sonja greeted us on arrival . She even sent a msg the following day to see how we were doing. The apartment is small yet comfortable, clean, warm, very well maintained and nicely decorated. Even though it is on the main street we hardly heard the traffic thanks to double glazing. The only drawback is the club downstairs which can be noisy.

Gemütlich und gut gelegen
Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt, es fehlt an nichts und sie ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. In der Nähe gibt es viele Restaurants und Supermärkte, zur Subway läuft man 1min. Der einzige Nachteil ist die Bar zwei Etagen unter der Wohnung, von der man an einigen Tagen bis nachts Musik hört. Für uns war das allerdings nicht so schlimm, wir würden jederzeit wieder hier wohnen!

Quaint apartment and great location!
My husband, son and I stayed at Sonja's apartment for 4 days and couldn't be happier with our choice. Sonja and a young gentleman greeted is warmly upon our arrival, helped us with our bags, and gave us a few tips to help us navigate our way through NYC. The apartment is located close to different subway lines and bus routes, which was great. There are also several restaurant options close by, a lively district a few blocks away near Barclay Center, and a Starbucks right across the street (Yay!). The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well kept (it looks just like the pictures). We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend Sonja's apartment. We hope to visit again soon!

This lovely and clean apartment is on the third floor and has a commercial property on the street level-the soundproof windows cancel out most of the noise. The best feature of this property is its location. We walked down 7th Ave and found a great place called Cousin John's Bakery and Cafe that had delicious and affordable meals for breakfast or lunch. Across the street from the apartment is the Q line subway that takes you to Manhattan in about 30 minutes and makes returning from travelling all around Manhattan very safe and easy at any hour of the day or night! Sonja quickly replied to any questions and even kindly arranged transportation for us to and from the airport/cruiseport through a friend. We recommend staying here and hope to be back!

Perfect Location for a New York or Brooklyn stay!
Our stay at Sonja’s in Flatbush was fantastic. Everything was as stated in advert. Directly across the road from the subway for 2O minute ride to NYC Time Square. Major shopping centre only a short walk away and a lovely neighbourhood to stay. Noise from downstairs bar was so minimal it didn’t bother us at all. She has thought of everything to ensure visitors have everything they need and everything was extremely clean. I wouldn’t recommend it for people who would have trouble walking up the 40 steps but if this isn’t a problem for you, then this is the perfect place to stay for your visit to New York or Brooklyn. The view outside the bedroom window is magical!!!

Perfect Brooklyn experience
This was our third stay in Brooklyn but the first with Sonja on Flatbush Ave. We liked the central location, right in the heart of Brooklyn. The apartment is tastefully decorated and Sonja has obviously gone out of her way to provide all the essentials and non-essentials for our stay. We enjoyed our contact with Sonja and she is aware of the difficulty of a noisy club on the lower floor. Double glazed windows were a big help. We never had a tv in our bedroom before! Just be careful of hitting your head on the tv box. Would love to come back. We are still high from our visit to NYC.

Great little apartment in bustling location
We spent a week in this lovely traditional apartment - its very cute and a really enjoyable stay though could be a little noisy in the evening as above a bar. But the location was perfect. Easy walk to subway stations, restaurants, cafes and a beautiful park. The communication with the owner was a little patchy at times, but she was still very helpful and the apartment was very clean and tidy. She even organised airport drop off for us which was appreciated - our driver Kevin is a lovely man and was a joy to chat to before we left.
