This hotel was terrible the rooms were not very clean there was only 1 restaurant which had a limited choice of food the staff were slow and could not understand simple requests due to language barrier By far the worst thing about this hotel was the smell of fish being gutted all around the hotel which was so bad we were even unable to stand outside the hotel for even a few seconds Avoid this hotel there is no way this is a 4 star hotel more like a 2 star

Facilites upkeep n food management needed badly
The food layed out in Buffet Lunch and Breakfast was not upto 4 star standard. In lunch, the non-veg spread was lousy, the chef I believed had not tasted the food. In breakfast only eggs were there for non veg persons, no chicken or ham or salami for any cold cuts, even baked beans were lousy that goes with eggs in breakfast.

Not worth the price
This place is great and the beach is just behind the property. Few areas were non-operational still the charges were quite high. Television never worked properly. They tried a few things but was of no help.

Property looks too old maintenance is important. Doors were jammed. I booked Pool view room but glasses were too dirty through which the view was useless. Furniture was full of dust. Food was not good. Very late service in restaurant. Menu was too small from which you need to order something whether it fits in your choice or not. I wasted money of my 2 days food. We didn't liked a single dish. Only breakfast was good rest all was waste of money.

Nice location on the beach. Everything great, except there is no easy access to the beach. You can see the beach but can not walk to the beach.

Worst Experience Ever.
The experience was totally terrible as the front desk dont know guest service, specially KASHINATH at front desk have to be trained to talk to guests. I was charged extra for my stay even though confirming before that i wont be charged.Even Abhilash & Ajay , both from hotels.com, confirmed that i wont be charged extra. All in all one of the worst experience ever due to pathetic service from individuals.

Bad experience.. my last stay in this hotel
Even little things like shaving kit and bathroom slippers were chargeable.. who charges for that. Food was expensive, breakfast was bad, not much varieties. Cakes in the breakfast were old like aged and kept for serving.

pathetic property at a very high rate,bath room is outdated & no proper fittings..it has very limited food option ,no varieties at all..smells terribly outside due to fishing activities.The resort near by is much better option. don't waste your money

Okay, I booked two rooms for two nights and this is my good,bad and ugly. Good: Breakfast, Massages, Rec Room, Swimming Pool, Friendly Staff Bad: Rooms require upgrade, Not easy to get Cab/Ride Share (Ola/Uber), Doesn't have good restaurants close by UGLY: Horrible smell of fish. The local fisherman dry their dead fish outside the property. The smell is terrible and ruins this beautiful resort. Its so sad that local government doesn't do anything about this. I have also seen tons of crows at the pool and the reason they are there is to eat the dead fish. Sometimes they also drop dead fish in the pool...disgusting. If you can't stand the bad smell, stay away from this place.

Trods lidt år på bagen et dejligt hotel, men lidt slidt i kanterne. MEN beliggenheden og omgivelserne trak lidt ned i oplevelsen... Grundet lugten af "skidtfisk" brugte vi ikke det flotte poolanlæg.... Der blev tørret fisk lige uden for muren til det flotte haveanlæg., og dette fratog også lysten til at bruge stranden lige uden for hotellet.

Welcome change from the city congestion. The greenery is refreshing. The view of the sea and sky however is not like the picture shown which is photoshopped. The property is in serious need of repairs both external and internal. Staff is helpful, food mediocre at best and unreasonably expensive

Except for the swimming pool, not worth to visit.
Fishy smell all around was just unbearable. Rooms are overdue for renovation. Linens were not upto the mark. Toiletries are inadequate. Fresh sea food is not available is disgusting.

The most amazing part of our stay was the great customer service. My mother and I have never met staff so dedicated and committed to providing the highest level of care. They looked after us so nicely and attended to all our requests, especially important since my mother needs a wheelchair.

Le paradis en enfer
Sejour du 20/04 au 27/04/18. L'hôtel est moyen, décoration des années 70, piscine convenable mais nous n'avons pas pu nous y baigner à cause du poisson que les locaux font séché au bord de la plage et qui donne une odeur immonde du matin au soir. Nous avions l odeur jusque dans la chambre, toutes mes affaires étaient imprégnées de l odeur. Nous n'avons croisé qu' un couple de français, hôtel fréquenté surtout par les locaux. Nous avons annulé la 2eme semaine. Personnellement je n'y retournerais jamais. En plus il est trop loin du centre ville.

I visited this hotel last 15 years back and had that image in mind but was surprised this visit, the property is not that well maintained like how it was and the staff is not that friendly, smiles are a scarcity here. They are cutting costs by not providing basic toiletries and charging for the same.

Das schönste ist die poollandschaft. Leider ab 16.00 ungenießbar weil die ganze Luft verpesstet ist von starkem Gestank. Das Hotel ist sauber doch einen Schritt hinter dem Tor zum Strand watet man durch Müll den niemand interessiert.

Hi, I stay in Mumbai. Just wanted a break from routine so I booked this place for a night. So it's me, my wife and my daughter. Easy to reach since I am a local. Good part - This property is nice. Room was spacious, spacious bathroom, decent toiletries, beautiful swimming pool with kid section, jacuzzi by the pool (my daughter enjoyed it the most) and club room for kids and adults. The not so good part - FOOD. Over priced. For e.g. the buffet had so ltd options and priced 1000 +. The buffet breakfast was disappointing with very ltd options again. The oriental bowl restaurant manager was a little rude and didn't accommodate serving drinks by the pool. In short this place is good but for food u need to explore something out also maybe or just ignore and enjoy staying in the property. Regards RS

My stay was spendid. Just like the Hotel. The swimming pool was as long and swirling like the snake. Water fall, jaccuzi all in one. The beach was sad and dirty. Unfortunately it was a low tide and the water had receded far in. The hotel room was nice neat and clean. The food was great too. Breakfast was good too.

Experience at the Retreat
The confirmation email received from Hotels.com was not clear about two aspects: whether breakfast is included and whether free wifi is included. I became aware that these were not included in the price after I checked in, and it caused a lot of embarrasment to me because I had taken it up with the hotel. Also, nowhere in the confirmation email was it mentioned that the price I was to pay did not include taxes. This was also a cause of dissatisfaction.

Lovely place for a holiday
The rooms were excellent, food was very good and service was always with a smile! All the facilities in the hotel were excellent too. I would have been happy if the beach adjoining the hotel was clean. A little disappointed that WiFI was on a chargeable basis unlike other places that I have been to. Especially, in an area where cell connectivity for data was very poor.

Hotel stinks, wifi doesn't work, pubic hair in shower. Poorly maintained, the only plus is good food. Swimming pool water is dirty with moss.
