Do not stay here
My husband and I had a 2 night reservation at The Hatchet. I called the hotel at about 8:30 AM 2 days before my reservation to explain we had tested positive for Covid that same morning and we had to cancel our stay. We are 77 and were going to the Dr. that day and were willing to provide documentation to him. He was the manager. He told us we had not canceled in time. Yes it was two days before check in time, which was 4:00 PM, however, we had to have called before 12:01 AM that morning. There is no point in going into the discussion that followed except to say it ended with me saying we were trying to be responsible in not coming but it seems you would rather we come sick and expose other guests and staff. His response to me was “come right ahead” Needless to say we did not go and did not get a refund. Wow

Hatchet was a very nice place and the location to the parks was what we expected. The staff was lots of fun and did an excellent job as it was near the end of season. Thanks so much.

Inviting Room and Grounds, but a Broken Faucet
We enjoyed our two-night stay. The overall ambiance of the rooms and grounds is welcoming and relaxing. The quality of the food in the restaurant and Grill was very good. However, we thought that given the high cost of lodging, the Grill breakfasts should be complimentary, and not an extra charge. Our room (#108) was comfortable, except for the sink faucet in the bathroom. It badly needs repair, and using it was akin to a wrestling match. We certainly would stay here again, in a room with a smoothly working faucet!

Rustic and Historic is a euphemism for something!
So, apparently those travelers who gave this place a great rating also follow the rule "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Baseboard heaters didn't work, but they did provide a plug-in space heater that dried our sinuses and overheated us. The cracked tiles in the bathroom were nicely covered by a black rubber outdoor welcome mat. There was no place to hang or store garments, no chair to relax in, and very little lighting. To be fair, the breakfast served at the grill was fine; and with the exception of red-meat items running low on the dining menu, dinner was OK. We cancelled our second night, being hopeful that Hotels. com might intervene to get a least a bit of our $270 reservation back, no dice. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Front desk and restaurant staff were so welcoming and friendly. The cleaning staff were arriving as I was loading my car and each one greeted me with a cheery good morning.

When you hear someone blowing their nose Nextdoor… that is too noisy!very cute to look at.. but the interiors were shabby and towels and toiletries were really bad quality.Tiny desk chair only seating, a comfortable chair would be standard. Good for just one night, and being close to park.On a positive note,The restaurant was very good.

Location is fabulous! Dining was excellent, our server Brandy was engaging, and fun! This is our second time staying here, we enjoy the proximity to the Tetons and Jackson! Only issue is the carpet needs to be replaced! They should consider a non- carpet option.

This was a rustic setting and the furniture, and simple bath facilities reflected that. The wifi, tv, and all appliances worked great, we parked our vehicle within 6 feet of the door which was very convenient. The setting was beautiful. The only negative was the carpet which needed to be removed and replaced with something other than carpet. We would definitely return.

Property offered on-site restaurants which was great. What struck me most about the room was what it lacked. It lacked AC (luckily it was a cool night), outlets, mirror, a place to hang things (no hooks or hangers), no bed side table with lighting for reading in bed, and I think the mattress on one of the beds was on a smaller box spring, at least it seemed that way.

So close to Grand Teton national park! The staff were awesome, and the food at the restaurant is excellent. If you go in September they may be low on a few things due to season end

Good location for visiting Grand Teton Park; rustic decor and surroundings. Two restaurants - breakfast was more than adequate, the one that served dinner more limited - but there are few options other than at the Park Lodges.

Comfy stay!
Our room was very clean and fresh smelling. The beds were extremely comfy and we loved the thick blankets, great for cold nights. The room was not air conditioned, however, so I’m not sure how the room would be in the heat of the summer. There was a floor fan in the room. The bathroom was clean, with an adequate wooden shelf to put toiletries on. The walk-in shower was a nice size. The only drawback was that the hotel’s restaurant was very busy, with only one person who was waiting on all the table and serving and checking people out, so we passed on breakfast. We just didn’t have time to wait. It would have been nice if the hotel office offered free coffee in the morning. There isn’t any place else around to grab a cup, so you’re at the mercy of the restaurant.

No refrigerator, no dressers, water smelled like rotten eggs, floor was sloped and carpet was sticky. I had to check out early and sleep in another hotel. Wasted $300 on that night. Very overpriced resort. Not worth the money.

I spent almost 200 dollars for a room where I need to share the bathroom with two other rooms, but they didn't even offer hot water or electeic kettle for drinking/coffee, either in the room or anywhere. I just couldn't find hot water! Absolutely not deserve it!

This property needs some update. Obviously, owners are not paying attention to mold and mildew growing in the bathrooms. Carpet is also dirty and sticky. Location is convenient but I recommend to look for another hotel to stay.

It was very good stay. I had a suite room, 1 queen bed and Trundle & Day Bed. So 4 adults is little bit small, but I think it would be suitable for 3adult or/ 2 adult&2kids or so. Also Dining and Grill were delicious and staff were so kind and friendly. If you will have multiple stay around here in summer, I recommend this lodge.

We loved our stay here! The property is well kept and quiet with a great view and super close to the park. Our toddler loved playing in the grassy yard and with the corn hole bags. There’s an on site restaurant that serves delicious burgers with local, grass fed beef. Only things to note - they don’t accommodate early check in, so be sure to plan accordingly. We ended up just starting our grand Teton site seeing a day early. It’s so close to the park. There’s also no bathtub, which is a bummer if you have small kids. Also no refrigerator, so be sure to bring a cooler. We would stay here again.

It was dated and the room was tiny. I didn't want my feet to touch the carpet, and the coverlet on the beds was of the old type that obviously wasn't laundered between guests. A positive was the restaurant. We had a nice dinner, excellent drinks, and the staff was great. The price charged for the room was definitely not worth it!

A good place to stay when visiting Grand Teton. Nice restaurant with great breakfasts. The rooms were relatively basic (although with log cabin walls) and heated bathroom floors. The cabins looked great - would love to try those sometime.
