Cozy Condo!
We loved the condo and truly enjoyed our stay! We have a boat and the marina was easy and convenient. The condo was clean and well stocked. We have a 2 year old and the screen in balcony was safe and he enjoyed it. It was perfect for my family of 3 and we hope to return the next time we visit SML!

Wonderful condo!
Great location, property beautiful! I would suggest letting your guests know when the pool is closed at booking. Very disappointed that we could not swim in May! Thank you though for keeping such a clean cozy condo & sharing it with others!

The property was very clean and well decorated. We liked that the kitchen was fully stocked with any
We felt very unwelcome. We received a nasty email threatening to tow our boat and accusing us of having more than 4 occupants in the condo. We also, had a person rudely complain that we did not move our boat quickly enough. So while the actual condo was nice and clean and comfortable, we felt badly about the unfriendly, unwelcoming treatment we received.

Thank you for your review. Our email and phone call was not rude or nasty, we only asked if you had more than the 4 person occupancy listed online, listed in your contract and the amount of people you said you had when you booked the property. You stated there were only 4 people in your group. The ring doorbell (noted in the listing description) clearly shows you enter the home at 3:30am with 6 people. We also asked if you could please move the trailer from the parking lot as it’s clearly posted trailers are not allowed in the narrow parking lot as they can block other cars. You stated the trailer had only been there for 30 minutes and you were getting ready to move it to the designated trailer parking at the marina. However, the trailer had been in the parking lot for over 12 hours and you didn’t move it until we contacted you. The only reason we even reached out is because a neighbor heard your group yelling into the parking lot when the 6 of you checked in at 3:30am and then you left your boat trailer in the parking lot for a long time. Your review is not accurate about our email/phone call tone, your number of guests or your boat trailer. Thank you for noting how nice and clean the condo is.

Wonderful experience

Nice little getaway
This is place is so nice and peaceful, we were sad the weather wasn't that great to be able to go out on out boat but that is something no one could help. The one thing that could use some upgrading, is the mattress. It was so hard, it literally killed mine and my husband's hips. Other than that, it was perfect!

Overall the place was clean and convenient to grocery stores. Our only complaint is the mattresses on beds and sofa sleeper needs a pillowtop to make it more comfortable for sleeping.

Birthday Weekend
Well-maintained, very clean, nicely decorated upstairs unit with perfect location on the lake, lovely views, marina access and conveniently located near restaurants, stores, and other businesses. Beds were very comfortable and unit was adequately stocked with all essentials for a completely carefree weekend. Don't forget to bring your own sheets and towels and also recommend bringing any DVD's that you potentially might want to watch, as streaming services not available. Otherwise, this was a delightful, highly enjoyable place to spend three days with another couple and explore Smith Mountain Lake.

Having rented homes before I have learned to be prepared and packed everything from salt & pepper to toilet paper, just in case. We were pleasantly surprised that this was not "one of those places." All the essentials and more are provided. Tasteful decor and great screened in balcony with view of blue heron nests across the lake.

Fabulous in every way
What a wonderful place to stay, very clean, thoughtfully arranged with amenities and treats for guests to enjoy. Excellent communication from the staff and a super smooth experience from beginning to end! Will definitely return, and the location you can't beat. The screened in porch is especially nice and the proximity to the lake. Plus the ample seating and nice TV and sound system was a great place to lounge with the family. I couldn't get the DVD player to work but that was probably user error. Look forward to our return! Thanks for all you did to make our stay great.

Best part of our stay at SML
The condo was the best part of our stay at SML. It was clean and comfortable. We got in late so it was nice to be able to go straight to the condo and bring our things in. It was in a great location for our needs. The beds were comfy and the condo was clean. There were ants in the kitchen and the carpet in the living room. This wasn't a reflection on cleanliness, just an annoyance. We appreciate the opportunity to rent your condo.

I loved this property! It was absolutely clean and well decorated. The boat slip and pool became a safe place for grandchildren and families could share birthdays! It is second floor which is a little problem for my husband and the great grandpa. But overall, this is an excellent choice! Thank you!

What a gem!
This condo was excellent. Couldn't have asked for a better place. Pool was awesome and cleaned every morning. Boat slip was excellent. Condo was clean, had everything we needed. Screened porch was the best. Beds were comfortable. I hate to give it such a good review because then everyone will book it! The surroundings were so quiet and grounds were immaculate. Negative part, we had to leave!

Smith Mountain Lake getaway.
This was our first real vacation in over 3 years. The condo was perfect. Great locations, quiet and fully furbished with everything you could need. Much better than typical rentals and certainly better than a hotel or motel. We were lucky in that downstairs neighbors were not home and not many people were there.

Fantastic location and community!
The property was perfect, in a quiet area with a swimming pool and a boat slip. It is located about 30min from the SML state park and 10min from grocery stores. The check-in and check-out were easy and the owner (Mark) was super friendly and helpful. At some point, we got confused with the code to the swimming pool's door, and in no time, Mark had reached out to someone who was on site to help us get in. Everybody at the marina / in the neighborhood was really nice and friendly. The apartment was very clean, well organized, and well equipped. Notes from the owner made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed our stay and will most likely come back!

Comfort on the waterfront
We stayed at Shoreline Serenity for several days. The condominium was very comfortable. Our daughter took full advantage of the pool. It is in a great location and the community was relaxing and quiet. And Smith Mountain Lake is beautiful.

Great Quiet Getaway
If you want a quiet getaway this is it! Very clean property. Fully stocked kitchen was very nice for the nights we cooked. The only thing I would say is that the patio does smell smoky but the condo itself did not. Great that this place came with a boat slip as well!

Better than expected
I love SML and hadn’t discovered this place until now. Perfect location by land or water. Beautiful condo and facilities. Marina staff was very gracious and helpful as was the entire community. We loved it and will be back.

5 Star Girls Weekend
We have been having a girls getaway weekend every year at SML for 10 years and have stayed at several locations. This by far was the nicest, cleanest, and best accommodations to date.. From linens, luxury bath towels, beach towels, pool noodles, and basic necessities, to k-cups and refreshments upon arrival. The screened in balcony was an added bonus. The owners really provide a welcoming place and put thought into every detail. We only experienced one downside. The weather was gorgeous with highs in the 90s and we anticipated spending the day at the beautiful pool only to find out when we got there that it was closed. :( Nowhere in the description were pool availability dates listed. This would have been a scheduling factor if we knew in advance the pool would be closed. The number for the rental property manager went to voice mail since it was a Saturday so there was no way for us to verify if it could be opened, or if it was closed due to maintenance issues. The pool had been cleaned, the chairs and chaise loungers were set up around the perimeter. Upon researching options the nearby state park was also closed, and although other area locations had pools that were open, unfortunately since we were not staying there we didn't have access to use them. We made use of the beautiful day in other ways. We would definitely stay here again provided we can confirm use of the pool prior to booking. Thank you for another great weekend in our book!

They want their guests to have their best stay ever. All of the pools in this area open Memorial Day weekend along with the State and Community Park beaches. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. We Loved our Stay!
We loved our stay at Shoreline Serenity, we rented the condo to be close to my in-laws house, which is less than 2 miles! We normally stay with my in-laws but we had a lot of family in town so needed more space, and this condo was perfect!! VERY CLEAN, and spacious. We didn't use the pool or the boat dock because we spent most of our time at my in-laws but our condo over looked the pool and it looked very inviting!

Lovely Condo
We had a wonderful time. It was a little difficult bringing our own sheets and towels and next time we will find a place that provides those. We are used to time shares and have come to expect this is provided. Otherwise, the unit was outstanding.

Beautiful place on SML
I love the condo! Had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The layout was nice, spacious and the screened in porch with electric grill got much use. The grumpy older man from down stairs was a downer knocking on our door twice to see if we could quiet our kids as they walked across the room. He was exaggerating a bit saying the pictures were coming off the wall. The kids were never running but crawling on their knees to play with match box cars and army men. He also was correcting other kids at the pool saying they were carring on too much and he would have them band. My husband watched this whole insedent and talked with the 20 something year olds and thought they were fine other than toning there langue a bit but they weren’t approached that way by this man he just went in with threats. After my husband tAlked with the kids there were no further problems. He was overbearing and made us uncomfortable like we had to correct our kids to tip toe and whisper in our own condo for fear of this man getting us kicked out. After talking with several other guest at the pool the consensus is yes we know him and he feels entitled because he’s on the board and has been hear for years. I’ve never ran into this problem at any other family resort/condos I’ve stayed. Just thought someone should take note because I really enjoyed my stay otherwise.

Great relaxing stay
We have nothing bad to say about our stay at Shoreline Serenity! The condo was clean and spacious and the kitchen was stocked with anything we needed for cooking. The pool was nice and relaxing and the neighbors made you feel at home. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on the lake.

Wow, thank you for the great review! It is a very clean condo and the owners have really thought of their guests when furnishing and decorating this place. They are now even including towels and linens with each rental. Thank you again and we hope you come back soon!
