Hotel is in a good location. The single rooms are great but the double rooms are not that great. They need to invest a little more I'm them. Hotel staff was very nice and very accommodating.

Door didn't lock
I hesitated to leave a review at all, because I really liked the people who ran the hotel, and, while outdated, it was CLEAN, which is a find for a $75/night hotel these days. However, at 1am, the wind blew my door open. Luckily the chain held it, but that led me to discover that the latch and bolt weren't catching at all. One only had to push on the door to open it. Quite unsettling and dangerous. The showerhead sprayed in so many directions it was hard to shower. There was also no continental breakfast, though I'm pretty sure it was advertised as included.

Dishonest
Our stay was flawed to say the least. Dirty linens,holes in the walls, missing wall tiles, leaking sink/broken faucet, no continental breakfast or wifi (both were advertised). Staff was very short in communications and didn't keep the reception desk staffed so you had to wait around ringing the bell just to get service. Their housekeeping service consisted of re folding the towels and remaking the bed. You had to ask them to restock toiletries and upon request you'd receive an attitude from staff for asking.

Don't stay here!!!
Room was dirty. dingy. was checking out at 8:00 in the morning and the doors were locked to the desk area. certainly no breakfast served. no one was around to check out. I know we were the only one's in the who place. Scary! Didn't clean room or make bed or leave clean towels in the morning.

Pay extra and stay elsewehere
When I booked the stay online I wasn't told there was going to be a charge for my 2 small dogs though it did say pet friendly. When we got there the receptionist was not trained to be there alone and was calling the owner to get through my check in. The room was clean but outdated. The microwave was ancient! The bed was as hard as a bail of hay. The water pressure in the shower was so slow it took me forever to take a shower. The coffee pot was broken and when my husband went to the office at 7:30 to get coffee the door was locked and nobody was there...it was to be continental breakfast but the door was locked. I felt like bugs were crawling on me all nite! We cancelled our second nite and drove home after visiting family for the day. Very disappointed!!

Nice stay...
The room has a stuffy like smell so we had to buy oder killing spray. Overall hotel stay was ok but not great. Good is how I would rate the stay. The customer service was great.

Worst
Really bad rooms dirty. Bed bugs on beds and pillows. We pay for 3 night but just stay 1 did not get refund

Listings inaccurate; very old hotel
The listing on Hotels.com had a 2 queen bed, non-smoking with sofabed available. I chose this option when I booked. Upon arrival, the hotel informed me that only smoking rooms might have a sofabed. The hotel is more than dated. The stairs to the second floor where our room was had rusted out steps that were soft to step on. It was precarious at best. The bathroom light didn't work unless you turned on the heated bulb. In June, in the Mid-South, you had to use the toilet by heat lamp. We won't stay here again.

Roaches in the tub
Killed one large roach in the bathroom when I arrived. Saw another one the next morning also in the bathroom.

Good location
Good area, close to stores and restaurants but I Started by being charged for the room, even though I had already paid for it through hotels .com. The room was outdated butlarge and comfortable. Cleaning staff very nice, I left an article of clothing in the room, the only people willing to assist with getting the clothing back to me were Pete and Tina. Can't say much for the rudeness that I received on more than one occasion from Angela. She needs a position that doesn't require interaction with other people.
