Adorable little house in the middle of everything
We stayed here to travel to the eclipse and experience Marfa. The house is small but comfortable and had everything we needed. The steam shower is a must (especially in the dry desert). An absolutely enjoyable stay.

Lovely Home
We recently stayed at this property and it was perfect for the two us! Everything was just as it was advertised. There was easy check-in/check-out, prompt communication with host, the home was very clean, nicely decorated, and located in a quiet, and safe neighborhood. Great location, just one block off of Marfa's main street. We'd definitely stay here again!

Love Marfa and this place!

West Texas Hidden Treasure
We had a fabulous stay! We loved everything about this precious little duplex that is centrally located to everything in Marfa. We had access to everything we could possibly need and more! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Marfa.

Perfect Place for Two in Prime Location
My spouse and I spent the weekend in Marfa to check out Fort Davis and the McDonald Observatory (attend a Star Party ASAP!). This adorable duplex's location is in the heart of downtown Marfa, directly across from the infamous Hotel Paisano. Given the hotel's location, we thought there would be a lot of noise, but if there was, it didn't make its way into the house. Street parking was available directly in front, and it was easy to get in and out. Everything is within walking distance, too. The interior was very welcoming and comfortable. Although the bed was firm (I usually opt for soft, fluffy mattresses), I slept amazingly. I especially liked all the pillow options in the bedroom and the floor-length mirror! The TV and internet both worked fine - no issues there. As for the shower, well, it's incredible. If you're claustrophobic, maybe don't turn on the steam because it gets THICK. The bathroom has a small stool, towel holder, and toiletry cart to put your stuff on. As someone who travels with their whole bathroom for some reason, I thought there was adequate space to put all of my stuff. All in all, the two of us will definitely stay here again the next time our travels bring us out to West Texas. Highly recommend!

Perseids meteor shower trip

Downtowner is perfect
This is our third time to stay at the Downtowner. And hopefully, we make it back to Marfa and stay at the Downtowner again. We love the accommodations. We love the location. We love the vibe.

Marfa Big Bend
Marfa is a town if it’s own and shops/restaurants only open when they want too. Our location was great but a little far from Big Bend but a pretty round trip 7 hr drive with stops along the way. Nice Grocery Store! Marfa lights was interesting but no sure I’m a believer. Our little house had a comfortable bed, excellent shower, great Kitchen, WiFi and right down town for window shopping Boutiques and across from The Hotel Paisano which has outside patio fir drinks and food after 5 pm.

Great location
This is a really great spot; we walked to everything we did in Marfa, and we were steps away from a great coffee shop, shopping, and the big courthouse lawn. The house is stocked with anything you could want.

We loved staying at this property. The location is PERFECT for walking most everywhere we wanted to go during the day. Love the Downtowner

Great Marfa cottage
My husband and I were returning to Marfa for our second visit and this cottage was perfect. Clean, nicely appointed, and great location , It has everything you could need for a fun get away. In addition to exploring Marfa and visiting the Chinati Foundation, we made two trips to Big Bend. We had a wonderful time and already planning our next visit. Wonderful Marfa spot
This rental is as cute and comfortable as can be. Very convenient locale in downtown Marfa , walkable to Judd Foundation properties, shops, galleries and- restaurants in the downtown area, The courthouse is a block away with an expansive lawn for your dog. The steam shower is fabulous after a long day of sightseeing and gallery hopping. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay
I highly recommend staying here! My partner and I needed to work remotely for a few days, and it was perfect to have two separate work spaces with doors (the bedroom and the dining area) and the wifi was great. The location is perfect -- a block to the center of town, and you could hear the train going by, but not loudly enough to disturb sleep (and we are light sleepers). Functional kitchen with everything we need to cook. Very clean, beautifully decorated, great shower, nice to have a porch to read outside. Great place to stay!!

Great location with a few problems
Great location with a few problems. The property was exactly as described and in a fabulous part of town. But — The floor of the shower is composed of raised pebbles which hurt both my and my husband’s feet and we believe would hurt most peoples feet. Just beware. They’re not dangerous. Also, the laundry detergent was very difficult to find and in a place that we would never have guessed. There should be better instructions about such things inside the house. Also, the dining plates are on a very high shelf and I could not reach them without a stool and it took me a while to find the stool in the bedroom closet. I am short but not super short, 5’2”. Finally, when sending the Wi-Fi code the property manager had a typo and I had to contact her to get the correct code. The correct code was inside the place above the outdoor lock but I did not see that before I contacted the manager

This was a great little house and super-comfy bed. And you have to give the steam shower a try! Lauren was very responsive when we had a small problem. Definitely would stay here again.

Exactly what we needed
This was a last minute stay for us on a road trip from Michigan. First time using VRBO instead of air bb. We really fell in love with the little town of Marfa. This place is a duplex but felt private and we didn’t hear a sound from the other side. Location was awesome. Would love to come again and bring friends to rent the other side of the duplex. Host was great at communicating and even called with some site seeing tips when she knew which way I was coming from.

Quaint and Cozy

Absolutely Perfect
The place was better than advertised. The location is perfect. The home itself is tastefully updated with great thought given to what travelers may need. It is comfortable and cozy. The steam shower is wonderful and everything was immaculate. But most importantly, the service from Lauren was incredible. She is always responsive and helpful. We had a small issue arise and I emailed her around 7:30 p.m. asking her if she might get it resolved the next day. Instead she came out and fixed it within an hour. You could not find better service. Highly recommended if you're coming to Marfa or anywhere in the area. Thank you for a great stay.

Super cute, great location
Very conveniently located downtown. Walking distance to everything. Well equipped. Really cute. Loved the steam shower and having a washer and dryer. Really appreciated that the supplied laundry detergent was fragrance-free and the space did not have any noxious chemical odors.
