nosso quarto tinha infiltrações, o ralo do chuveiro é nojento, não suga toda a água e fica acumulando durante o banho, durante nossa estadia ainda entraram no quarto para trocar um quadro, foi horrível.

Os quartos não são como os apresentados nas fotos. Chegamos no hotel com malas grandes e não havia elevador. Precisamos subir andares de escadas até chegar ao nosso quarto, que era no último andar. As escadas eram super estreitas (não passava a pessoa e a mala ao lado, por exemplo. A pessoa tinha que descer e depois pegar a mala). Me senti como que dormindo em um sótão. Sem contar a limpeza, precária. Não fizeram troca de lençois, não repuseram necessidades básicas como papel higiênico, sabonetes. O café da manhã super pobre, sem opções. Não tinha nem um presunto e queijo para fazer um sanduíche. Detestamos a experiência, não indicaremos e nem voltaremos a este local.

The location is good, close to the metro, easy to find, has restaurants and pharmacy nearby. The breakfast is reasonable. Negatives were: the room looks old and so some things were not working very well, the shower was bad (little water outlet), the bath drain was not working well (it took time to get down the water).

Too expensive for what you get!
Very good location. Clean and tidy small rooms. The Expedia site does not make explicit that one does not have in bathrooms. Good and generous English breakfast. Perhaps too expensive for what you get at the end.

Nettes ordentliches Hotel, freundlicher Service. An der Rezeption kann ein Fön für die Dauer des Aufenthalts ausgeliehen werden. Die Reinigungskräfte hätten viellleicht regelmäßiger die Dinge des täglichen Gebrauchs ausffüllen können. Gute Anbindung an Underground und Bus.

We arrived early and were able to leave our bags at reception. The man on reception was friendly, helpful and polite. We checked in at number 30 where the reception is for 24 Sussex. Our room was clean, comfortable and had plenty of tea and coffee facilities. The location was excellent. Close to Paddington and Edgware Road tube so it was easy to get around. The Heron pub was nearby where they do excellent Thai food at a very reasonable price. The hotel provided free croissants and muffins for breakfast which was a lovely touch. The room wasn’t the biggest and not luxury but the price was excellent, the beds were comfy and it was clean. An excellent base for exploring London with lots of pubs, restaurants and shops nearby. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the area felt safe and was quiet at night despite being so central. Would stay again and recommend it.

I am happy that I only booked a one night stay at this hotel. This hotel is terrible and disgustingly dirty. The bed is old and uncomfortable, the sheets were filled with hair, the carpet is old and dirty and also had hair (apparently it had not been vacuumed), and due to it being so old and dirty my one night was not the most pleasant. The only positive thing was that it had a good shower and the stuff was nice. I will never stay here again.

AVOID! Stay somewhere else on Sussex Gardens
AVOID! We paid for a cheap hotel so didn't expect much. But the bed was uncomfortable - you could feel the mattress springs. The only sockets to plug your phone in were at the end of the bed or across the room. The shower overflowed all over the bathroom floor because it wasn't sealed properly on the outside and the drainage was insufficient. Someone did come to cut a bigger hole in the shower drain but it made no difference. The PVC shower mat has never been cleaned and very dirty. The door strip to the bathroom is not fixed and loose so a trip hazard. There was a big damp patch on the wall which to be fair may have been from a recent leak upstairs. There was no response to reporting these issues. We had 2 rooms, one had hand soap and shampoo/shower gel. The other had shampoo/shower gel only. Reception insist they do not provide hand soap even though they were the same brand in one of the rooms. It's London and a good location so they can charge what they like and continue to ignore the problems or pretend not to understand you.

Short OK stay in London with a few issues
This was an OK stay, and staff were polite and helpful, although the room we were in had issues that we shouldn't have had to find. The shower was hot & worked well, but did not drain fast enough when the shower was running, so overflowed out of the tray, soaking the bathroom floor. This was partly because the seal between the shower screen and the tray needed redoing, and partly because the drain was not running away fast enough, causing the overflow. There was a large wet damp patch on the wall (this was a basement room), either from a leak above or in the wall. The carpet was stained and dirty in some places and could do with a shampoo or replacement. The non-slip shower mat was rolled up in the corner of the bathroom and was clearly covered in black mould spots and not cleaned, so we didn't touch that, as it was unusable. The tea and coffee and kettle in the room were fine, and the TV worked OK, but had an All in One remote control, which hadn't been programmed fully, so only did basic operation and couldn't be used to display a TV programme guide, for instance. WiFi seemed to be quite good. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but it felt like the mattress was cheap, with some creaky springs in places. Linen and towels were clean and the room overall was fairly clean and very tidy (apart from the shower mat). Door and building entry was by card, which worked well. Overall the stay was OK for a cheap'ish stay in London, but maintenance could definitely be better.

Room was good for the price. It is close to major subway lines and restaurants. Wasn’t a huge fan of our ground floor window opening up without a screen or protective gate so we kept it shut. Would recommend it to other travelers!

The sink was very small and clogged, literally overflowed onto the floor just while washing my hands. Also had to go out and buy my own soap as the soap bottle that was provided was empty. There was a glass shelf above the sink leaving so very little space between them I could barely get my head over the sink to brush my teeth. The staff was nice, check in and check out was quick and easy.

It was a very basic hotel room. It was clean, but it was very stuffy. The ensuit was also basic and had no soap only shampoo. TV did have netflix though. Arrival was confusing as main reception was further down the block of buildings than the address stated.

Vi havde booket to værelser - ét med dobbeltværelse og ét med to enkeltsenge. Enkeltsenge-værelset var fint og rent. Ok størrelse badeværelse, der var redt pænt op og en god placering. Der blev gjort rent på dag 4 ud af 5 og datterens bamse sat pænt på sengen og pænt ryddet op. De oplevede ingen lydproblemer, trods naboer. Dobbeltværelset havde verdens mindste "badeværelse" hvor man ramte vasken, når man sad på toilettet, skulle bakke ud og trække bukserne op og skulle stå i bruseren for at kunne spytte ud i håndvasken. Rengøringen var hip som hap og da vi flyttede sengen ud fra væggen for at få mere plads, afslørede det virkelig mangelfuld rengøring i hjørnerne, samt der var adskillige pletter på alle vægge. På intet tidspunkt i løbet af de fem dage fik vi gjort rent. På dag 4 fik vi en ny bunke håndklæder og tømt skraldespande, men der var ikke redt seng, taget gamle håndklæder eller anden rengøring. Hotellet er ekstremt lydt og ingen nætter fik vi sovet optimalt eller fuldt ud pga af larm fra naboer der kom og gik, skulle bruge deres toilet på gangen etc. Personalet var super søde og servicen generelt rigtig fin - bare synd, den ikke blev ført over i rengøring og detaljer på værelserne. Rejser man alene og kræver ikke meget, er det et fint sted. Men som familie eller evt. par på kæresteferie, ville vi vælge et andet sted.

Das Hotel ist sauber, alles ist vorhanden, das Personal ist nett. Allerdings ist das Gebäude unglaublich hellhörig,sodass es unglaublich laut ist, wenn nachts jemand nach Hause kommt oder morgens aufsteht. Das ist teilweise, als würde eine Büffelherde über dem Kopf herumtrampeln.

Avoid at all costs. Couldn’t sleep due to constant noise and the room was the most uncomfortable I have ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot. Couldn’t swing a cat in the bathroom.

Absolutely awful
This “hotel” was absolutely awful. The beds were covered in stains, the towels were rock hard, the window was all rotten causing wood to fall onto one of the beds and it didn’t lock. We felt very unsafe in the hotel so we decided to leave. The “hotel” staff are very rude and unhelpful. Don’t waste your money here

Small-ish room suitable for single travellers or a couple travelling on the light. Basic room, exactly what you are paying for. Bathroom is very small and I wouldn’t recommend it for the larger person.
