Other than an inexplicable display of poor service by the pool area bartender the first afternoon of our stay, (A concierge was notified, came to our room and we had no further issues of the kind for the remainder of the weekend.) the resort more than met our expectations.
It is picturesque, quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. There are no children allowed on the island which was a big draw for us.
Also, I have to recommend against the chartered Flats fishing trip the resort arranged. The equipment was substandard considering the price charged and we ended up fishing for none of the sport fish for which one normally charters a boat. In fact, I caught more fish off the dock. Had I known I could stay on the island and fish off the dock, or take one of their boats fishing, I would've opted for that instead of shelling out the big bucks to go catch a shark. (We were told later by the snorkeling guide to ask for a certain guide).
Other than those two items, everything was about as perfect as you'd expect.
The food was excellent. We were on the meal plan and I'd like to meet the person who could eat all the gourmet food included in the plan.
The snorkeling excursion to Looe Key was the best deal and best experience of the weekend. I don't even know how to swim and had a blast.
