Ski Weekend

Wonderful weekend in Lake Placid
This house was situated perfectly for us with it being a 7 min. drive from downtown but close to the wonderful Caprisce Cafe (amazing coffee and chai lattes) and the Big Slide restaurant. The host was very quick to respond to questions and was very flexible when we asked to switch our dates to one day earlier. The house was very nice with a few signs of wear and tear (dings and a few minor holes in the sheetrock). We definitely would stay here again.

Beautiful cottage
This was our 6th stay at this beautiful cottage. We always have 2 dogs with us , and all the time they are so happy. This place is their favorite. Everything is perfectly fine.

We visited LP for New Years with my 4 adult children and 2 dogs. The home was clean and comfortable, and did not smell like animals, which is unusual for homes that accept pets. Kitchen had more than enough equipment to make meals. The 3rd bedroom had a day bed that was separated into 2 twins - one on the floor. The place was perfect for what we wanted. We would rent again.

Winter getaway
Very comfortable house, more home away from home than vacation rental. Well appointed kitchen. Big yard on a quiet loop, good for pups. Plenty of space for 5 adults and a dog. Perfect location, 2 minutes to the Olympic Center or to Ski Jumps, 15 mins to Whiteface.

Amazing Stay!
The property was really nice and well maintained. Kim was very kind and helpful with the communication. Just one issue that none of the bathroom doors get locked but everything else was fantastic. The property has great space to relax and enjoy. Loved it.

Perfect House
We had an amazing stay at this house! The house was in a great location and was perfect for our family including the dog. The property was large enough for our dog to run around and there are a lot of friendly dogs in the neighborhood. The owner was incredibly helpful and was there anytime something was needed.

Great location.
House was clean, and property was well-kept. We were in Lake Placid for a lacrosse event, which was being held only a mile from where Kim’s house is located so it was perfect for our family. Also, only a short ride to town which was terrific.

Perfect location
This house was perfect for Ironman weekend. It was a short walk to the course where athletes passed 4 times. The house was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive to all needs. There was plenty of room for the dogs to play outside. Highly recommend!

Nice stay, great location.
Myself and 5 other family members stayed here to visit the Lake Placid region. The house was comfortable and clean. The location was very convenient to the different Olympic venues and other site seeing attractions, and a short distance to get into town.

Time with Family
We had such a great stay. Kimberly’s place provided us with ample accommodations Her kitchen was well equipped so that we could cook a full meal together. Kimberly answered any questions we had. She allowed us to bring our dogs which is an A+. The location was central to town and hiking trails. We would go back again

Great location. Close to Village of Lake Placid but in quiet tucked away neighborhood.
The home was clean, spacious, and inviting. Owner Kim was very easy to work with. We were able to have our dog along for the weekend so that was a huge plus.

Cozy house in the woods
The place is very cozy. The owner lives In the basement of the property but it’s completely blocked off and it wasn’t an issue at All. The place is dog friendly and we had 3 so If you have dogs this place is extremely convenient. We had 4 adults and 1 toddler with us and it fit us all well. We would definitely stay again.

Great house, great location, great host
Location of the house is incredible. Right near main st, but in the woods to get that quiet Adirondack feel. Beautiful neighborhood. Kim is a great host! Had a great weekend teaching the nephew and niece how to ski, and the dogs loved being able to join us for once on the trip!

Great place to stay
This really was a great choice for us (mom, dad and 2 daughters 14 and 10) including a big dog. Very nice feeling being in the house. It had everything. Nice yard for the dog to run and play in the snow and nice 1/2 mile loop to walk her too. 15 minute drive to white face. 5 minute drive to town /Main Street. Only funny thing was the TV. Might be time for an upgrade but on the other hand, maybe a blessing in disguise to be away from a screen!

Wonderful stay
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The location is beautiful and very close to all the major attractions of Lake Placid. Plenty of room for the family. Nice gathering space in the living room.

Quite but close
Perfect combination of quite setting with just a short drive to everything. Although close to a main road we heard no car sounds. Very quiet at night which was very peaceful. Open floor plan was very nice. Would return without hesitation.

Stayed at this property for a weekend in Lake Placid / with our Dog, great place to stay close to everything we wanted to do. Nice yard where our Great Dane could run a bit. Locals are very dog friendly, including restaurants. Would return and stay there again!! Thanks Kim

ADK hiking trip
This property is in a perfect location for all the fun in Lake Placid It's close to Main Street but secluded on a beautiful wooded lot. We saw lots of local fauna in the yard. The house and grounds are immaculate. Comfy beds and couches. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to prepare a meal. The home is dog friendly and our two dogs enjoyed their stay. The listing does not indicate the owner lives in the basement apartment. Had I known this, I would not have booked this property. I was worried it would feel intrusive to have the home owner in the same building but my worries were unfounded. Other than one night, I heard no sound from the apartment. This house is a perfect "home base" after spending your days enjoying all the High Peaks has to offer. We would stay here again!

So glad you enjoyed your stay. My home is like many in this this industry where it has been built as a duplex to rent half. I never see my renters unless they need me. Some have invited me to dinner! Hope to see you again. Kim

Wonderful cottage
The house is spacious and well stocked with many cooking supplies, and herbs, and spices to use. Surround by beautiful woods with a large yard and firepit. Its close to the town but you still feel the privacy and tranquility of the woods. Laundry on a site and works good. Internet is super fast . Very pet friendly. A nice place overall to stay at Lake Placid.

The house is charming and spacious with a touch of personality. We felt like living in a friend’s home. The photos didn’t quite do the justices. Kim is very responsive and flexible to make sure we get what we need. The neighborhood is quiet and very friendly too.

Woodland Oasis close to all the LP action
Just enough removed from the town that you can walk at night and see the stars and hear the crunch of the snow under your feet and feel like you’re deep in the woods, yet just a few turns and you’re close to all of the action that this amazing town has to offer. I would highly recommend this home to both families and couples seeking a spot to call home while they plan their adventures each day in the High Peaks!

Perfect Place to Ring in 2022
We stayed at Kim's place for the week between Christmas and New Year's. It was perfect for 2 couples and 2 young children. Easy to get to all venues (sledding, cross country skiing, Whiteface, town center). House has everything you could ask for and our dogs enjoyed the stay too! We will be back! Thank you for a spectacular holiday!

Great home for the holidays
Excellent house, very comfortable, welcoming and clean. Great size rooms. It is hard to find places that accommodate pets and this home was awesome. I am so happy I was able to spend the holidays with my family and not to have to find another option for my dogs. The host was very accommodating and helpful! Would love to stay again sometime.

Quick get-a-way close to Lake Placid
We were greeted by a very friendly pup when we pulled into the driveway and the weekend was great. The location of the house was perfect for quick trips to town (Lake Placid) for shopping and to the LOJ for our hiking adventures.

Smooth Sailing...
This was a nice find. And a very quiet setting in just a couple minutes from town. The accommodations were comfortable and there is everything needed there for meal preparation and entertainment. And our dog got to stay with us too!

Base Camp in Lake Placid
This home was wonderful for our plans to hike Mt. Marcy, drive to the top of Whiteface, and enjoy Lake Placid. The location was perfect! We had two dogs with us and the yard was ideal for them to romp before and after our daily adventures. The bedrooms and beds were large and comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the living spaces (indoor and outdoor) were spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed renting Kim's home and will consider doing so again.
