It’s noticeable that the change in ownership has brought on less attention to maintenance and necessary upgrades as things wear out. It looks like the top priority now is taking the profits and not reinvesting in the property to make it top notch.
In my room, the plumbing fixtures that had been deluxe 20 years ago, are now stained, and discolored beyond salvage, and worn out. The shower control didn’t oven work right any more. It doesn’t take much to then look around a bit and see more, such as the towell bar that is now fastened to a simple 4”x6” painted piece of plywood with oversized wood screws. This is the kind of stuff you’d see at a low budget motel.
The bedding.., I was clean, but worn out, and you’d easily find better at Walmart.
When I ate at T-Bones, the manager lady was having verbal arguments back and forth with the staff. Totally unacceptable and inappropriate. I didn’t see where the staff was doing anything wrong (I was receiving exceptional service), but if they did need counseling for whatever reason, it should be in private, not in front of the customers or other staff. The stranger lady eating across from me even remarked to me that it looked like there was “trouble in paradise” :).
