Boa relação custo x benefício
Pousada com uma bela visão da ilha. Ladeira difícil de subir porém curta. Boa pousada para quem pensa em curtir as suas instalações sem sair muito. Boa cozinha (restaurante).

boa opção de estada em Koh Tao
O hotel não é luxuoso, mas tem seu charme. A vista era lindíssima tanto da piscina e do restaurante quanto do quarto, um chalé com uma varanda muito agradável. Ficaria lá de novo em uma nova estada. O custo-benefício é muito bom, o restaurante e os serviços funcionam bem, os funcionários são prestativos e simpáticos. Pra pessoas idosas ou sedentárias talvez não seja uma boa ideia, já que há uma grande subida para acessar o hotel. Mesmo, dentro do chalé, há uma escada que liga o quarto ao banheiro. Se você não tem prática com motos, não alugue a scooter, pode estragar sua estada. Visite também o High Bar, vizinho do hotel no topo do morro.

I had the most wonderful stay at Chintakiri. The team who worked there were fantastic - so friendly and helpful! The views were spectacular. The rooms were simple but had everything I needed. Shower and air con were great and bed was comfy. The balcony was big and had a stunning view. Pool was clean and food was great. It was a hike to get up there though and I would recommend hiring a scooter if you do stay there. The workout to walk up is well worth what you get once you arrive!

we just stayed here for over two weeks and enjoyed our stay very much. the ladies (staff) were friendly and attentive. the cabin was good with everything you'd expect from a 4 star resort. perhaps a little noisy from mopeds on occasion but that's common on KT. powerful air con. the infinity pool was great, it became a 'home base' to look forward to after a day out enjoying the island. food was standard Thai offerings, some fish options would have meant me giving 5* ratings across the board. it is up a steep hill off the main road but if you get a moped or taxis that won't be a problem. "High Bar" One (with the connotations that are implied) is right next door and good for chilling on an evening with great views.

A hidden gem
We had an absolutely wonderful stay, yes the hill/steps are a challenge but so worth it. The rooms are simply furnished and very comfortable, with amazing views especially if you have a room at reception level or above. Shower gel, shampoo and hairdryer on request Situated close to some lovely beaches eg Shark Bay and Freedom Beach and bars and restaurants. Staff are incredibly helpful, organising taxis, a snorkel trip and even pulling out all the stoos to swiftly retriever a handbag I left in a taxi (all credit to the honesty and integrity of the lovely Thai people, I also left a pair of very good sunglasses in a bar down the hill (a bad run of losing things on my part) , and they were handed back to me when I searched the next day). Breakfast was lovely, cooked to order. Such a lovely personal, attentive service, thank you Chintakiri xx

Beautiful tranquil spot
Pretty dated but most of the Koh Tao hotels are. These are separated bungalows sitting on the side of a mountain overlooking Shark’s bay. The views are incredible. A bit of a hike up the road to the hotel so be prepared for that. Close to dive shops and great food and services. This was excellent for the price.

Tolle Unterkunft mit super Ausblick
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Chintakiri Resort sehr genossen. Die Bungalows mit eigener Terrasse sind sehr geräumig und man hat ausreichend Stauraum bzw. Ablageflächen. Das Frühstück kann man aus verschiedenen Menüs auswählen (z.B. English Breakfast, Banana Pancakes) und auch Kaffee wird auf Wunsch gerne nachgefüllt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Um die Insel besser erkunden zu können, empfiehlt es sich, einen Roller anzumieten. Dies kann man problemlos in der Nähe der Unterkunft machen. Restaurants, Geschäfte und auch die Shark Bay sind allerdings auch fußläufig zu erreichen. Leider ist der Transfer vom bzw. zum Pier nicht inklusive. Das Personal unterstützt aber gerne bei der Organisation. Wir können das Chintakiri Resort mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen und würden die Unterkunft auch wieder buchen...

Couldn't have been better!
One of my favorite hotels ever, all categories. Loacted a bit up a hill it had a great view of the ocean and also the lush green trees beneath. The resort was clean and well maintained. The staff was absolutely fantastic. So helpful and kind all the time. My plan was to stay here for half my duration in Koh Tao then try living in another part of the island but I ended up extending my stay here because it was so enjoyable. Next time I go to the island there's no doubt, I'm staying at chintakiri again.

The staff were really friendly, the room was nice, a very strong WiFi connection. Best bit was it wasn’t a buffet breakfast, they cooked to order. The location was good as it was easy to access things yet quiet and peaceful but not suitable for the unfit as on a very steep hill.

Calme sur les hauteurs de l'île
Hotel sur les hauteurs de l'ile, au calme avec vue superbe sur Chalok Bay. Le bungalow était spacieux, la literie vraiment très confortable et nous avons apprécié l'accueil et la disponibilité de l'équipe. Il y a un service de transport gratuit de/vers le Pier pour votre arrivée/départ, pour lequel il faut prévenir avant votre arrivée. Excellente adresse.

Boutique resort with great views and service
Nice rooms with large balcony and excellent views over see. Very comfortable with good restaurant and great hotel personnel helping you whenever needed. We would definitely consider coming back if we would visit Koh Tao again. Close yo Shark Bay where you can safely watch baby sharks with snorkles borrowed from the hotel.

Great view
Pick this hotel for the excellent view over Chalok bay and the helpful staff. If you don’t have a scooter you will be paying for taxi everywhere (~400 THB one way to Sairee). And yes, the hill is difficult for everyone and near impossible for some. Good value for money if direct beach access isn’t a top prio.

Quiet uphill resort in Chalok Baan Khao
We really liked the quietness of the place. No traffic, beautiful and well maintained gardens and a small swimming pool with the best view over Chalok Baan Khao Bay you can immagine. Bungalows have a nice design and two levels. Both levels get very hot. Only ‘downstairs’ you have aircon, which cools the place down fairly quickly. But bathroom and dressing area stay unpleasantly warm. Big compliment for the nice smelling bath towels though! View from balcony is great, but without shade a bit useless. All in all the bungalows are a bit old and maybe a bit pricey for what you get compared to neighboring islands. Breakfast is a la carte, the girls from the restaurant and reception are extremely friendly. Food is good and affordable. Excellent pick up and drop off service to the pier. Downside is the short (10 minutes) but very steep climb uphill. Once a day was enough for us. Nice restaurants and bars around the bay. No parties, just chilling. We didn’t go to the beach itself (no sun beds, no swimming) Plenty of shops in the little village. A snorkeling tour is highly recommended.

Dejlig hotel men med seriøs bakke
Vi var to unge kvinder, der boede på dette hotel sammen, og det er en meget hård bakke, som det ligger på. Den er overkommelig, men gør at man altid sveder enormt meget, når man kommer tilbage til hotellet; ligemeget hvilket tidspunkt. Selve hotellet er meget flot og velholdt, med fantastisk udsigt. Morgenmaden er god, og der er flere retter at vælge imellem. Det ligger i en meget stille del af øen, men det er sikkert bedre i højsæsonen. Der er et par restauranter at vælge mellem, og det hele så lækkert ud. Taxaer er ret dyre, det kostede ca 500 baht at køre til Sairee Beach (ca 10 min køretur). Dejligt hotel, vi ville gerne komme tilbage!

조금 오래된 중고급 리조트의 느낌. 조용하고 깨끗해서 좋았습니다!
객실이 넓고 깨끗했습니다. 욕실을 포함한 나무바닥이 좋았고 침대도 아주 크고 편했습니다. 조금 세월이 지난 작은 중고급 리조트의 느낌이예요. 찰록 반 카오가 내려다보이는 큰 테라스도 무척 좋았고요. 아침식사는 맛있었습니다만 레스토랑에 모기가 무척 많아요. 사실 코 타오 전체에 모기가 어마어마하게 많았음.. 수영장은 작지만 뷰가 아주아주 좋았습니다. 낮에 해를 받아서 물이 너무 따뜻하기는 했지만 그래도 없는 것 보다는 낫지요. ㅎ 산비탈 지형을 활용해 만든 리조트라(많은 코 타오의 리조트가 그런 듯 했습니다만) 전망은 좋지만 계단을 이용해 오르내리느라 조금 힘들었어요. 리조트 입구까지의 경사진 도로도 걸어다닐만한 거리입니다만 조금 힘든 건 사실입니다. 나중에는 스쿠터를 타고 다녔지만 두명이 타니 힘이 딸려 못올라가서 중간에 세워두고 계단으로 걸어올라 갔습니다. 그래도 조용하고 전망이 좋으니 그러려니.. 찰록 반 카오 자체는 싸이리나 매남에 비해 훨씬 조용하고 단정하면서도 식당이나 여러 편의시설이 잘 갖추어져 있어 굉장히 좋았습니다만, 해변은 지저분하고 별로였습니다. 걸어갈 만한 위치에(스쿠터를 타고 다녔지만) 프리덤 비치가 그나마 조용하고 분위기도 좋지만 섬의 서쪽편은 바다가 너무 얕고 잔잔한 편이었습니다. 섬의 동쪽 해변이 훨씬 물도 깨끗하고 수영하기도 좋아 핫티엔 리조트가 있는 비치를 입장료를 내고 이용했는데 무척 좋았습니다.

Très bon hôtel si vous avez de bonnes jambes
Accueil et service très agréable et très discret. Calme, vue superbe qui se mérite au regard de la côte à monter pour rejoindre l'hôtel, courte mais très raide. Quelques restaurants/bars sympas sur la plage en bas qui est en sable blond mais un peu trouble. Rejoignez freedom beach à 500m pour plus de clarté. Belle chambre mais escaliers partout car flanc de colline et clim en pleine tête comme souvent en Thaïlande . Piscine pas immense mais très agréable avec sa vue et jets massants. Serviettes un peu fatiguées. Petit déjeuner classique à choisir dans la carte. Tour de snorkling "turtle welcome" très bien pour 600bats (20 pers env).

Good value for money
Nice bed, nice small pool, free transfer to and from the pier. Good food in the restaurant. Great view. Friendly staff. Free bottled water in the room. Breakfast ok. Very steep hill but not impossible. Close to the shops and restaurants. Overall good value for money!

Great resort, great location
This small resort was great in every way. The view from our balcony was unbelievable (we stayed in one of the highest rooms). Staff service was fantastic - they were very accomodating and friendly. The pool was great to relax in and the view was amazing. The food from the restaurant was delicious. The location was perfect for us - privately tucked away up a hill but other food/bar/shopping services within a short stroll. One thing interested holidayers should be aware of is that it is located at the top of a really steep hill. And the resort itself has many steps. So if you are't into walking I'd recommend scooter hire. I'd happily stay here again.

Super 5 ✨ wat ons betreft.
Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Chintakiri Resort. Vriendelijk personeel en hele schone verzorgde bungalows. Wij hadden geboekt met ontbijt en daar hebben wij geen spijt van. Zeer uitgebreid en je kon het zo gek niet bedenken of het was er. Ook dineren is in dit resort geen straf. Geen zin om na excursie of slenteren door de straatjes naar het strand te gaan, geen probleem. Er staat een goed onderhouden zwembad met ligstoelen op je te wachten en ook daar komt het personeel je drankje brengen. Voor gasten slecht ter been is deze locatie geen optie, want het resort ligt (zoals de meeste) hoog dus voordat je erkent moet je een steile helling op lopen. Dus aanrader een scooter 125 c, motorbike of taxi. Een volgende keer op Koh Tao zullen wij weer kiezen voor Chintakiri. Als laatste vergeet je snorkelspullen niet. Je krijgt daar geen spijt van.

Een fijn en rustig hotel dicht bij het strand
Als je de drukte even uit wil, maar niet helemaal afgelegen wil zitten, is dit de plek waar je moet zijn. Het hotel is tegen een rotswand aangebouwd en alles is door middel van trappen verbonden. Dat betekent wel dat het niet aantrekkelijk is voor mensen met een rolstoel. Het strand is ca. 3 minuten lopen bij het hotel vandaan, evenals restaurants, duikscholen, plekken waar je je voor weinig kunt laten masseren en een supermarkt. Ik kom zeker terug!

Ok hotel with a view
We booked chintakiri because it was more expensive than the place we were originally looking at so we thought we would be getting a better hotel. We booked for one night with the idea to extend our stay if we liked it. Pros - amazing view! One of the best on the island. Waking up and seeing the view, or looking out while eating breakfast is priceless - good size, clean rooms - shower has good water volume and the water is hot. - comfortable beds - wifi ok - has a (small) pool. - villas have a good size balcony looking out to the view Cons - steep driveway and lots of steps. Walkways are narrow. Driveway is navigable with a scooter but I wouldn't do this with a passenger. - outside door doesn't close well and there are gaps in the wood. A concern for bugs coming in at night but you can at least close a second set of doors to the bedroom to stop mosquitoes coming in. - one staff member had a crying child onsite during our one night stay which was quite disruptive. - some very noisy animals (that sound like a rubber duck) onsite. We were woken multiple times in the night by this animal. - if someone hoons up the driveway while you're sleeping, and your villa is next to the driveway, it will wake you up. - devices charge extremely slowly using their power points. - the fridge in our room did not work. We could have stayed more nights, but we went back down the road and viewed some rooms at another hotel. These were half the price compared to chintakiri and were clea

Très décevant
Nous avons été très déçu par cet hôtel. Mis à part la vue de la terrasse qui est en effet splendide tout le reste était décevant. La chambre sur pilotis très jolie mais lorsqu'on marche tout tremble, la salle de bain demanderait à être rafraîchie car le carrelage est cassé, les serviettes sont tachées ou déchirées. Le petit déjeuner est succinct, se compose d'une boisson chaude et 2 tranches de pain de mie. Nous y étions avec 2 enfants de 4 et 6 ans et je ne vous le recommande pas du tout, même les allées de l'hôtel sont dangereuses, au moindre faux pas on risque de tomber et de se blesser gravement. Aller à la plage revient de l'expédition, il y a même une rue à traverser et la mer est loin d'être claire on n'y voyait pas nos pieds ! Comme l'hôtel est loin de tout, nous avons tester le restaurant; attendez-vous à ne pas manger tous en même temps car la cuisine se situe en bas de la montagne et le temps que le plat monte et arrive les autres ont déjà fini de manger... Résultat : nous avons fuit et réduis notre séjour malgré les nuits déjà payées !

Lovely hotel!
Lovely hotel situated on a hill with an amazing view. The staff was great, very helpful and nice, and breakfast was good. The little villa is amazing, feels like you're up in the trees and the balcony is wonderful. Clean, big and comfortable room. All in all a wonderful stay at Chintakiri and would come back any day!

Hillside getaway, perfect ocean views
We stayed here as a young couple as part of our honeymoon. Originally we had booked to stay for 6 nights and ended up staying for 9 nights! Chintakiri is a blissful hillside "resort" with one of the most beautiful views on Koh Tao. I'll bullet point my reviews below to make it easier to skip to info you may require. ROOM: we stayed in a Deluxe Pavilion, no.104. As far as we could tell it has the best view of the bay and ocean beyond, and some of the sunsets we incredible. The room itself is very comfortable, the bed and pillows too. It's rustic in style, split over two levels with bathroom and storage upstairs. They're spacious and clean and the shower connected to the aircon is always hot with good water pressure. The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towels and complimentary water is given, for that you'll be thankful. LOCATION: located high up a hill it is quite a climb up. But it's well worth it when you get there as it's away from the hustle of the streets below, which can be busy with people and traffic. The climb is only 5 minutes from "street level" but very steep! Walking distance to the beaches, although the one at the bottom only really available during low tide. Be sure to walk to Freedom Beach (via) beach boardwalk and wading through the ocean in higher tide. Freedom Beach does get busy during the day. Hire a motorcycle or bike and make your way to Shark Bay (entering through Rocky Resort to avoid hefty 100B pp fee). The snorkelling here is brilliant

Fantastisk udsigt, dejligt personale og skøn mad
Billederne lyver ikke, man har en fantastisk udsigt!!!! Poolen er fantastisk og der er ikke for mange mennesker. Værelset super hyggeligt og med havudsigt! Vi spiste på hotellet flere gange, hvilket jeg normalt ikke gør da jeg hellere vil prøve noget forskelligt, men maden var så lækker og store portioner. Eneste ulempe er bakken som hotellet ligger på, men med den udsigt er det helt acceptabelt (lej evt en scooter i byen til 150 bath så kommer du let omkring) Nyd en øl og solnedgang på highbar der ligger lige ved siden af, men hold dig fra maden, den er på ingen måde pengene værd. Det er ikke sidste gang jeg har boet på dette skønne hotel!

Fantastisk utsikt og rene, store rom
Ble møtt av et svært hjelpsomt og imøtekommende personale da vi ankom. Beliggenheten var helt fantastisk- utsikten var helt utrolig flott. Det er også i et litt roligere område på øya, så man kommer litt bort fra "kjas og mas" i byen. Skal jeg tilbake til Koh tao kommer jeg helt klart til å velge chinkatiri igjen!
