A truly stunning location
The Hilltop House is a special place. The views from the house in winter are magical. Watching the various shades of pink come in over the bay to the East while sipping coffee was a daily highlight. Sitting in our own geothermal hot tub while watching the Northern Lights dance is something our boys will never forget. The host is very responsive. Having the Hvammsvik springs a few hundred meters away was awesome, we visited those springs twice and stopped by the restaurant each night for a drink. The Golden Circle is very accessible from this location. This rental is a very memorable spot and worthy of all the positive reviews.

Unique Home with Spectacular Views
A warm, cozy home with fjord views from every room in the house. We enjoyed hiking the grounds of Hvammsvík Hot Springs and the private hot springs on the waters edge were a wonderful way to relax after a day of touring Iceland. This is a one of a kind property and we hope to return one day. One note-the property description mentions a washer/dryer in the home. It is actually located a short distance away in a community building and shared by 3 other homes.

One In a Lifetime Experience
The Hilltop Lodge is beautifully appointed with a spectacular view of the fjord. Nothing can beat soaking in your own personal hot spring. Do not miss a chance to have a meal at the restaurant. Best meal we have had in Iceland. Hope we are fortunate enough to return one day.

Back for our second visit, still spellbinding!
We loved our visit last year so much that we came back again, this time with our adult son. The house was even more gorgeous and the new spa/restaurant made the experience absolutely glorious. Well done, Grima and Skuli - we will definitely keep on returning to Hvammsvik!

Terrific Property!
We absolutely loved our experience at this property. The views were amazing, the property had plenty of room for hikes and adventures for the kids. The trampoline was an added bonus! Our hike at Glymer falls (which is reasonably close) was a highlight of our trip! Highly recommend.

World-class property in gorgeous Iceland
We're speechless... Expectations were very high and were exceeded. Truly spellbinding house in a spellbinding location. We started our driving adventure around Iceland here and we'll never forget it. We've travelled the world and stayed at Vrbo/HomeAway homes and by far this was the very best. The Buddha greeted us and the home opened up its luxurious appointment to our group of two couples. Grima was the consummate host, very thorough and friendly. Many thanks, Grima - we would love to visit again soon!

Een onvergetelijke locatie. Wat een uitzicht, wat een comfortabel huis en wat een natuurschoon. De elementen uit de natuur aan den lijve ervaren door adembenemende zonsondergangen, besneeuwde landschappen, ijzige wind en een warm water bad. Unieke ervaring!
