I didn’t like when I was on trivago to find the best price that I wasn’t given the knowledge that the hotel I was at was under construction. I didn’t get the balcony room and I saw pictures of a pool. But was told by staff was taken out a year and half ago. Had I known I would have chosen another place. We were done in Kingston for my son to have surgery at KGH. Stressful situation and the stay wasn’t the relaxing time we thought we’d get before the surgery.

Smelly hotel
Arrived Friday Oct 27th for the night front desk was amazing friendly helpful and polite parked our vehicle and went to our room walked in and the smell ...... it was like i was in a hockey locker room the smell was horrible i opened the window put the air on sprayed some perfume and left as we had a function to be at arrived back to our room around midnight and the smell was still there went to bed Pillows were flat uggg got up early as i couldn't stay the smell anymore went down stairs and told front desk that she should have the room looked at due to the smell she apologized and continued to tell me parking is 30.00 lol

We were disappointed in the hotel. For the price, we expected a higher quality. We understand they are just starting renovations, but the rooms were not as clean as we expected. I chose this based on reviews, and feel the rating was too high for what we got. I'd rate it much lower.

Generally it was good however we were disappointed that there was no room service for coffee etc in the morning. At 9:15 the cleaning person knocked loudly at the door then proceeded to immediately bang the door open against the secondary lock. When she realized we were still using the room she swore!! Very unpleasant morning welcome when checkout is not until noon!!!

Everything was great, except for the in room coffee, it was awful, hard to believe that a hotel of your class would still be providing such awful coffee. Even your front desk person agreed after sampling your in-room coffee. We will find another hotel in Kingston because of this. We know it is a minor point, small things matter to us,,thank you.

Front desk was uninterested and borderline rude at checkin. We paid extra for a “suite” with a balcony… which as locked and unusable. Our room, 717, sounded like it was attached to an airport runway. Every time the AC kicked in the room floors and walls literally shook forcing us to talk louder or turn the TV volume up significantly.

Hotel was under renovations on the 9th floor while we were on the 7th. No mention of the noise was made during check in. Stopped around 5pm and resumed before 9am. $30 to self valet our car. Well situated with lots of restaurants, pubs, Kingston activities and waterfront nearby.

Excellent location and staff. Only criticism would be the paid parking (makes the hotel feel cheap). Would be better to increase the cost of the room and offer parking validation (since it is a shared public lot). All other aspects of the room and stay were fantastic.

On arrival Sunday, sizzles the only restaurant was not open. In the morning, complimentary coffee was great but nothing for a quick breakfast sandwich, or toast to go. The room cost was higher the second night without anyone telling me. Parking was convenient but also not told that $30.00 per day

Great location, under renovation so no pool at the moment. Our room on the 4th had a smell. The location is perfect for walking the lakefront and lots of restaurants just outside the door.

The hotel was in a beautiful area in Kingston we could walk everywhere. I highly recommend the restaurant for breakfast. The hotel itself was comfortable but needs some upgrades.

Dear William,Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. We really appreciate you giving a 5 despite the cost of parking.The parking is definitely a large additional cost, however all of the downtown hotels have their parking priced the same or higher than our hotel.We are currently in the process of renovating and I hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to the area.

A quick weekend getaway from Watertown NY
Our stay at this hotel was terrific. The location of this hotel was very convenient; a walking distance from several eateries and sites. The only complaint was our room did not have air conditioning. We took advantage of the ice machines available and were glad our room had a mini fridge.

Upon arrival there was confusion regarding WHICH hotel this actually was, no sheraton signage, the room was musty, the furniture was old and gashed and some of it was broken. Seemed like the hotel hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. The cleaning staff wear their street clothes so guests can’t be sure whether or not they’re actual employees. All around awful, extremely overpriced experience. I will never stay there again. The Howard Johnson’s motel is nicer than the Sheraton hotel in downtown Kingston.
