Charming Bungalow - 10min to Downtown

Summary:
Rent this charming bungalow in the West side of Jacksonville! This house is a 5 to 10 minute drive from Nas Jax's main gate, and a 10 minute drive to Historic neighborhoods: Murray Hill, Riverside, Avondale, San Marco and the Orange Park Mall.

It is cozy and cute - perfect for close friends, family (and pets) to enjoy a stay for a night, a month, or even longer!

Also includes an in unit washer dryer and on site parking so it is fantastic for longer terms for families with kids or groups with several cars.

The Space:
This is a cozy 2 bedroom bungalow with a bathroom, a full sized kitchen, and an on site washer/dryer. It is great for a family or a small group of friends. It is also fantastic for pet owners since there is an ample backyard and dog toys provided.

Bedrooms include a queen mattress in the Master and a trundle bed, two twin mattresses, in the spare bedroom. The sofa is not a pull out couch but an air mattress is provided if you need to host an extra guest. Linens can be found in the closet onsite. Guests traveling with small children will have access to a high chair and pack n play as well for their use.

For guests looking to enjoy the outdoors in Florida there is a large umbrella for outdoor dining. An outdoor lounge space for entertaining and a fire pit for s'mores with friends and family. Enjoy use of the grill as well under our covered carport and flip the string lights on for a magical evening outside.

Guest Access:
Guests have the entire space to themselves. The carport is temporarily unavailable as the owner is storing a boat under the carport. The driveway is long enough to hold up to 3-4 vehicles without the use of the carport.

The Neighborhood:
The West Side of Jacksonville has access to many historic neighborhoods full of culture, nightlife, shopping and unique bars and restaurants. This bungalow is very close to NAS Jax, our local military base.

For enjoying a bite to eat we recommend Metro Diner for breakfast, featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. We also have several uniquely local spots in Riverside, Avondale and Murray Hill nearby. We also recommend stopping by Dreamette, our favorite ice cream shop. Make sure to bring cash with you, it's inexpensive but is old-school and takes only cash.

We want to ensure you have an amazing time, reach out ahead of time or during your stay for local recommendations.

Getting Around:
A car is highly recommended for this part of Jax although you may also be able to get by with using ride sharing services such as Lyft/Uber.

PLEASE CONTACT US PRIOR TO BOOKING IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO REVIEW RENTAL AGREEMENT.

We charge for additional guests above a fixed amount. This amount and additional charge varies by unit type, size, and configuration. If you input the correct guest count when you make your reservation the amount the booking site indicated as the total cost will not change (due to guest count). We ask for confirmation of guest count after you complete your booking. If you need to increase your guest count after booking confirmation due to a booking error, this could result in a price increase. Finally, we verify guest count via external cameras located on our properties. In the event that we notice a guest count at the property that is higher than reported, we reserve the right to ask for additional guest fees that would be double the amount we would have charged prior to check-in.

Kindly refer to the following guidelines regarding fees for extra guests:
Studio & 1 BR units - $25 per guest/night after 2 guests (i.e. 3 guests would be $25/night extra and 4 guests would be $50/night extra)
2 BR units - $30 per guest/night after 4 guests (i.e. 5 guests would be $30/night extra and 6 guests would be $60/night extra)
3 BR unit - $35 per guest/night after 6 guests (i.e. 7 guests would be $35/night extra and 8 guests would be $70/night extra)
4 BR units - $40 per guest/night after 8 guests (i.e. 9 guests would be $40/night extra and 10 guests would be $80/night extra)
5 BR+ units - $45 per guest/night after 10 guests (i.e. 11 guests would be $45/night extra and 12 guests would be $90/night extra)

We are pet friendly and charge $30 per night per pet for short term stays. For longer stays, I charge $150 per week and $300 per month per pet. If you are booking with me and are bringing a pet please let us know ahead of time! This fee is non-negotiable for any animal.

This fee is not included in the accommodation fare rate. We will send a request for the additional funds once the number of pets is confirmed after booking.

There is in unit laundry in the bungalow.

Events/parties are strictly prohibited and will result in a $1000 fine. A party / event is in effect any time the guest count exceeds either the maximum allowable on the property or the amount of guests booked.

A TV with a FREE Peacock subscription and access to popular streaming apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.) is available but there is NO CABLE.

Also, Saturday check-ins and check-outs are (generally) not allowed unless you are booking a stay that is >7 days, with the exception of some specific weekends (FL-GA and TPC Sawgrass weekends are a few examples). I may allow an exception to this policy (depending on the specific weekend and season) but reserve the right not to do so or to ask you to modify of cancel a reservation starting or ending on a Saturday.

The following additional charges apply to late check outs/early arrivals, assuming we can offer this at all (I often can’t so please never assume this will be allowed):

1 hr or less early arrival or late departure: $100
1-2 hr early arrival/late departure: $200
2-3 hr early arrival/late departure: $300
3+ hr early arrival/late departure: $400 or the cost of an additional night’s stay, whichever is more

These fees are primarily in place to highly discourage late checkouts/early arrivals since this causes my cleaning service undue stress to prep the unit prior to your or the next set of guest’s arrival. This also increases the need for them to rush/cut corners, increasing the likelihood of them not cleaning the unit to the high standard which I hold them to.

***Finally, smoking is strictly forbidden anywhere on the property - inside the bungalow or in any outdoor areas***

***If we find cigar/cigarette butts of any kind on the property or evidence of smoking (ash on flat surfaces, empty cigarette packs, etc.) we will assess a $500 cleaning fee in addition to the regular cleaning fee***

For guests requiring a pack n play, high chair, or any other non-standard item, please submit your request at least 7 days before check-in to ensure availability. If the request is made less than 7 days prior to check-in, we will make every effort to accommodate it, but cannot guarantee availability.

This listing has up to date amenities including appliances and state of the art technological experience. Security for the entire property and advanced measures within. Best experience I've had...definitely returning here on my next visit to the city.

Charming bungalow says it all!
Located in an older very quiet neighborhood, this two bedroom, one bath has everything you need for a stay in Jacksonville. The galley kitchen has everything you need to cook and serve meals along with a full size range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice maker. Although it didn’t have regular cable, we found plenty of things to watch on the Roku tv app or other apps already loaded on the tv. Publix grocery store and several restaurants were minutes away and there was easy access to highways to travel to the beaches or other attractions. The master bedroom bed was comfortable and there are extra pillows.

Home away from home
We stayed at this property while awaiting the construction of our home. The home is located in a quiet older neighborhood close to shopping and downtown. The team was very responsive to any issues we had and even brought us water, a flashlight, and some batteries during the storm. Definitely recommend this property.
