We had a great week at this property.
Whomever decorated it is quite talented. Great job!! Nothing is too precious, and the furnishings feel comfortable and just right.
With respect to the description, all is accurate. The location: it is two blocks to the 27 marker access point; we timed it at 5 minutes to the marker and another 3 minutes onto the beach.
Amenities also include an all-important blender (!) and a SmartTV and Google speaker for music at dinner. The kitchen is well-stocked, but plan on bringing anything you need beyond salt and pepper.
Amenities lacking: wine bucket, tea kettle, beach chairs (I guess everyone rents...good service, but added $200 to our outlay for the week).
The screen porch was great fo bonding and the TV room and game table a well-used spot for some fun games and late-night Netflix binging. Great library which we all accessed.
The bathrooms could use some additional investment (particularly the toilets which work on one speed: slow) but workable for the week. Beds and bedding super comfortable.
The screen porch needs some minor repairs but it is hard to stay on top of that with a rental and it is such a great spot the loose screen and stubborn door just adds to the charm.
We had many family meals in the spacious dining room. Due to rain nearly every afternoon at dinnertime, I did not even peek at the grill, but the cover looked to be in good condition and the grill scraper new. Outdoor shower so great for keeping sand out of the house: we did our best.
I would rebook the Cottage especially when we have a need for more than 2 bedrooms. The location cannot be beat, there is plenty of room to spread out OR to be together, and the decor leaves you feeling you just stayed at your college roomate's place (you know, when you roomed with Joanna Gaines) that has been in their family for years.
