The esthetic of the hotel itself was amazing! The walk into pool from your patio was perfect and convenient . The beach side was clean and never too crowded, the water was absolutely beautiful & warm! The food there was pretty good, but pricey . There is a restaurant directly across from the hotel with better more authentic food and more reasonably priced , I would recommend going there instead . The Rooms were esthetically pleasing , but very small and the lighting was terrible. It only had 2 small mirrors , the only 2 full body length mirrors were found outside by the pool/ restaurant. Unfortunately the rooms always felt damp and humid & the rooms smelled awful!!!! Everytime we came back to our room it smelled like Seward gas. We tried covering all the drains with towels but it never helped! Overall the hotel was cute & the staff was friendly. Holbox is a beautiful place and recommended everyone going ! The rooms themselves could have been better . I still can’t get over the smell and how uncomfortable the beds & pillows were.

Awa is nothing short of espectacular and amazing, the staff is so friendly and attentive. We definitely plan to stay here every time we come back to Holbox. Segundo and Daniel were excellent. The room was cleaned everyday as requested and nothing beats the sunset view from Awa.

This is what I am talking about this is great service very good employees!!! Thank you will come back for sure! We arrived to the hotel from the lagoon in boat and we were received very nicely! They took our luggage up overall I recommend the try!

Phenomenal, boutique hotel! Wonderful stay, tasty designed rooms, amazing meandric pool and great sunset rooftop location. If you're looking for a boutique experience (and I mean it), with no mainstream kitsch or tv screens occupying half of the wall, look no further - you will love the experience!

The hotel itself and the rooms are beautiful. Right on the beach with great views on the rooftop. Beds are comfortable too. However the hotel has no soundproofing and almost all rooms face out over the restaurant which has loud music all day into the evening. I usually don't mind this but without soundproofing it was unbearably loud for the majority of our stay. We asked reception about this twice but it didnt really seem like they would do anything. The restaurant staff even turned the volume up afterwards! One night this went on to 3am so if you're looking for a peaceful stay this isnt the place. Its a shame because this really affected our stay in holbox with lack of sleep or any tranquility. The food and drink is also very overpriced for what you get. Overall, it's style over substance, lacks the detail that would make this a true 5* hotel and I wouldn't stay again.

We loved loved loved our stay at Hotel Awa. The facilities are immaculate (in addition to brand new). The staff was kind and attentive, and the beach front location simply couldn’t be beat. We can’t wait until we’re able to visit again.

Nice property. The ocean view is great from the rest areas and the roof top. Beautiful location. Food in the restaurant is very good and the hotel staff. Joaquin is very helpful and his customer service is A and goes above and beyond. Jesus is very friendly as well. Restaurant across the street is very good too. Lady cleaning our room everyday was very friendly and helpful.

I love this property! They are brand new so be gentle and not overly picky . I get it we are there for vacation and expect everything to be perfect but like any new project. it take a little time. staff was amazing! so helpful and so nice. Food was delicious. Love the aesthetic and the beach! I have no complaints. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to be back again soon

De loin le meilleur hôtel d Holbox! L hôtel est magnifique et les pieds dans I eau ...nous avions pris la chambre supérieur et la vue était incroyable ! Les couchés de soleil sont splendides. Stayed in this 2 month old beautiful property a day after the big storm. Unfortunately the front of the hotel was destroyed. The management had many workmen working multiple hours a day to restore it to its original state. When we walked, there was no other hotel with this amount of workers. Management was on site and was very involved in the restoration. Rodrigo the manager and co owner was asking us multiple times a day if we were ok. Staff were very kind about the lack of amenities for us and made sure that we could go to the beach club next door. The hotel itself is beautiful, a great boho vibe. The pool running along the length of the property was beautiful off the bottom floor rooms. The patio and restaurant had cute lanterns hanging and had a beautiful view of the sunset at night. Rooms were large and well decorated but not a lot of places to put clothes away. Shower was stunning! The bar was beautiful but needed some shade. The drinks were so tasty. The food was the best that we had on the island, the shed was amazing!! I would definitely return!!!!!

While it was not their fault, due to the storm, the pool was empty and the grounds smelled like sewer. On Saturday night, a nearby location blasted music so loud at 2:30am that it woke us up and continued until almost 4am. Even with headphones and pillows over our head we could not sleep. The beach was closed, our swim out pool had no water, and the location was farther than expected with flooded and muddy streets. Dissapointingly, no compensation was offered.

The hotel was badly affected by a storm a week before we arrived that washed out the beach club and put the pool out of commission. Despite this, the room was really clean and tastefully decorated with one of the comfiest beds ever. The staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable in spite of it being a really difficult time for them. The work that they put in to restore the hotel was phenomenal and the food absolutely delicious. While the circumstances (beyond their control) were not ideal, they made it a brilliant stay. A special thanks to the management team who went above and beyond to accommodate us. Really highly recommend this hotel!

Durch den Zyklon vor 5 Tagen waren es besondere Umstände. Die Front des Hotels hat ordentlich zu leiden gehabt, bis im EG stand das Wasser. Der Pool war mit Sand und Meerwasser gefüllt. Wir verstehen dass das Ausnahmezustände sind. Was hätten wir uns gewünscht? Eine Vorabkommunikation. Es war halt nicht das Hotel wie von den Bildern erwartet. Wir wären trotzdem gekommen, aber hätten uns besser abgeholt gefühlt. Andere Hotels hatten schnell wieder ein paar Liegen aufgestellt, das AWA leider nicht, man konnte nur den Pool auf der Dachterasse nutzen. Das Personal war freundlich, aber etwas mehr Entgegenkommen und Kommunikation vorab wäre schön gewesen, da der Aufenthalt ja auch nicht zu den günstigen gehört.

Attention hôtel en construction
L’hôtel AWA boutique ne tient pas ses promesses. En effet l’hôtel est encore en partie en construction, lors de notre séjour en janvier 2024 il y avait des ouvriers, il y a une beaucoup d’ordures devant l’hôtel et l’odeur qui va avec!! Notre chambre était proche du rooftop et les chambres sont mal insonorisés. Les chambres agrealable mais ne sont pas terminé (pas de tv, pas de frigo, pas de coffre fort, pas de sèche cheveux). ce n’est pas un hôtel 5 étoiles. Il manque des sièges de plages sur la plage De dire du restaurant ? Le problème n’est pas la nourriture mais le service, les serveurs sont tous sur leurs téléphones, refusent de servir les clients, font patienter inutilement, sauf au moment du TIPS… ce n’est pas normal que l’hôtel ne réserve pas des places de choix aux clients de l’hôtel sur le rooftop et préfère faire venir des touristes de la plage. L’hôtel reste bien placé sur l’île, il a le potentiel pour être agréable mais pour le moment il ne tient pas ses promesses.

This place is a dream! The vibes atmosphere and overall place was 10 out of 10. The staff here really do there best to make sure you have a wonderful stay i appreciate them all so much! Lastly the food.. you will NOT be disappointed with the food it was 12 out of 10 absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to go back and will be going back!

Nouvel hôtel mais à améliorer grandement
L hôtel est très beau la chambre magnifique. Hôtel encore en construction, odeur et déchets juste dans le terrain à côté.. Le service est lent et pas professionnel. Il manque dans la chambre un sèche cheveux une armoire et télévision quand il fait pas beau. Si vous voulez un transat pour prendre le soleil levez vous tôt! Il y a que 6 transat pour 30 chambres au moins.! Nous avons dû aller à un autre beach club. La plage de l hôtel n a rien d exceptionnel et les algues nombreuses ne permettent pas de se baigner en toute tranquillité. Pour aller en ville soit par la plage 20 min de marche et la nuit n est pas éclairé ou en taxi qui coûte 200 pesos. La piscine sur le toit est belle mais toute petite et il y a 3 sièges rien d autre. Les prix sont cher et il y a plein de moustiques ! En résumé bel hôtel bobo chic mais avec ses contradictions.

A beautiful newly opened hotel! Incredible views from the rooftop pool (best we experienced), and equally as great food/drinks. Location is insane!!! Staff super friendly. 100% recommend. Definitely a few teething issues, but in a few months it will be the best boutique hotel on the island. The downside being lack of facilities, but easily can be fixed: Only 1 tiny mirror No wardrobe or hanging space for clothes No mini bar / fridge Lack of bedside table space, it was an uneven block of wood with the room vault drilled on top haha. But overall, an amazing hotel!!!

The AWA Hotel was nice clean and staff very friendly. So thats 5 stars Two things i wouldnt go to holbox again 1. Mosquitoes hoards of them. 2. seaweed although it was cleaned still there and makes the beach not as nice as i remembered. Beds were not comphortable. Its nicer from a holbox tour not to stay there

Boutique Hotel that only recently opened. Ergo construction still ongoing around property. Notwithstanding this amazing hotel is situated right on a sought after beach. Rooms are lacking only minor things, like a television; however, wifi throughout the property is very good! Staff are very polite, earnest and despite some language barriers they figure out what an English-speaking-only customer requires. Overall a good experience. Just needs construction to end.

El hotel me pareció excelente en términos generales. Las habitaciones son cómodas y tienen muy buen gusto, el agua caliente y el A/C sirven perfectamente. Adicionalmente la comida me pareció espectacular y recomiendo comer en el restaurante aunque no se hospeden en el hotel. Arriba tiene un bar con vista que también está muy bien. El hotel está a 15-20 minutos caminando por la playa del centro, por lo que se puede visitar perfectamente.

Con la reserva confirmada y pagada. A 20 minutos de llegar me escriben por whatsapp para decirme que no tienen habitaciones y que me comunique con Expedia para que nos ayuden... si sobre vendieron el hotel, minimo nos podrian haber ayudado a encontrar otro lugar. Muy decepcionante todo

The hotel was so new that they opened op two weeks ago so there was a lot of construction all day and in the mornings we woke up because of that some times. Also they dont tell you this but they are still missing a lot of furniture in the rooms and in the beach club you don’t have any beds to rest and no umbrellas so that was not comfort at all. I went to other places to have the day at beach. They also have the staff limited and my room was clean and one until I had to remind them at 6-7 PM I do want any refund or some type of compensation because for what I paid that was a fraud.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL YET!
This is a brand new hotel still under construction, so there was only one restaurant open, not 3 like it said on Hotels.com. The pool downstairs had very dirty water. The rooftop area and pool was not open, even though one of the owners, Daniel told us on the second day of our stay it will open "tomorrow". It never opened during our 5 days there. We booked a beach front junior suite with a bathtub, when we checked in we got another lower room category because that category we booked was fully booked. The room was missing a lot of things like a safety box, hangers, there was no wardrobe at all, no trash bin, no refrigerator in the room, no water which are complementary normally if you are in a place where there is no drinking water from the tap, no paper holder in the toilet & no hooks for towels. 3 days in a row we didn't get fresh towels in our room and one day we couldn't even get them after asking because they had ran out of fresh towels. At breakfast we couldn't get a juice because the bartender didn't arrive and when ordering an icecoffe we got the information that the hotel ran out of ice. The tables in the restaurant was so small so you could hardly have 2 plates on it during dinner or breakfast. In the balcony there also a very small table so not very functional if you would like to sit with your laptop. There was no area to just hang out. This just a few things which made our stay very unfriendly & uncomfortable! The hotel has potential but is not finished yet.

The hotel is brand new and absolutely stunning! The location, rooms and common areas are pristine! I would highly recommend this boutique hotel to everyone interested in visiting Holbox Island. The food was five stars and the staff is as friendly and professional as it gets! I will definitely come back.

Tuvimos unas excelentes vacaciones. Son de los pocos hoteles con un toque único. Desde que llegamos se sintió el buen trato y la amabidad del personal, tienes de todo, piscina, playa y restaurantes en el mismo hotel.
