Coffee served as part of complimentary breakfast was weak and tasted watered down. Service was great thanks to Laurie. Views at breakfast were lovely and peaceful. Valet parking being a requirement is unabashedly unnecessary. This is the only hotel on the island has their own pedestrian walkway so why make it a requirement for people to use valet parking?

The floors were dirty, as you walk across the floor, filth was sticking to my feet. The bed and bedding were great. Did not like the parking across the street, and have to ask the valet to get my car, and parking fee was 20.00 per day! We will not stay here again.

I really liked the ocean view room. Unlike other hotels in the immediate area that only offer a partial view, The Crowne Plaza offers a balcony with full ocean view. That's the whole point of a beachside vacation, in my opinion!

I loved that it was on the beach and there was a nice bar and grille. There were cabanas to use for shade. The room was very nice and super clean. I didn’t like that parking was valet and $20 per car per day which we found out when we got there. The grille food was good but a little pricey. Starbucks didn’t have food. The curtains didn’t close all the way leaving a sheer middle curtain that you could see through if you looked hard enough.

My experience staying at the Crowne Plaza in Melbourne is always a good one. I've been visiting there for the past 3 yrs 4 my bday vacay. Had never been or anywhere else in Fla. It's always a great stay. Staff is wonderful, love that the hotel is right on the beach, its quiet, not a party town which is why I chose to visit. In 4/2022, my 1st stay, was awesome. Had a rm w/ a full beach vw which I LOVED! So the following April of '23, I put in a request to have that same rm & they were nice enough to hold it 4 me😊. I did hve an issue w/the hotel shuttle. When I arrived in Melbourne, I assumed that the shuttle was for the hotel guests, but the shuttle that pulled up said they had to get the flight crew 1st & there wouldn't be any rm, & I would hve to wait until another shuttle came. Now THAT I didnt like. So I just requested a lyft. Also the times of the shuttle, if you have an early am check out before 7/8am or coming in after 10/11pm you are SOL. Now my recent stay (4/2024), when I made my reservations, I requested to hve the same rm I stayed in the past 2 years. Whoever I spoke to was like "sure, no problem. I got you down". But when I arrived, the person at the desk said there wasn't any note on my reservation and another guest had checked in my room (😁) 2 days prior. I did get a full beach vw rm, but I wanted to be in the room I had before (😔). I plan on visiting again for my next bday & hopefully I get my room. Other than tht, always a great stay!👍

Great restaurant on property live music every day you dont have to leave if your there for a couple of days easy access to the beach drinks are good.

Unfortunately, we had an incident of bed bugs. The manager was able to quickly heap us and move us to a new room. However, damage was done. Won’t be staying her. It is unfortunate bc location, food and staff were friendly.

Nice hotel on beautiful beachfront. Balconies are big, but get the Oceanfront room for full view. Longboards restaurant & bar have good food & drinks. We had a few issues with room on arrival but staff were eager to help and moved us. The staff is excellent. They also provide free local shuttle to nearby sights.

Nice clean rooms :) we had the one w a kitchen. Valet starts around 6am with using key fabs to locate cars in the parking lots so you will hear horns doing the little honks pretty often if you are in the rooms along the parking area. Super nice stay

This hotel is conveniently located on the beach with a restaurant for food and drinks. Downsides were that our room smelled like sewer (seemed like it was coming from the bathroom), our deadbolt was broken (they sent someone promptly to fix it, but it was still getting stuck), and they have mandatory valet parking which they charge you $20/day for.

There are numerous great restaurants and things to do in the area however the majority of them being in driving distance of the hotel. I really liked our stay here. The parking across the street isn't ideal, but it didn't really bother us. There steps to get up/across/down to cross over the highway might be hard if you had really small children or have trouble with climbing 2 flights. honestly though I think the cost for valet was the same as self parking anyhow, so you could just do that. The valet's were always available and got the cars very quickly from what I saw. However for us we didn't mind it really, we only left the hotel twice. Everything we needed was right there which is why I would give it such a good rating, it had a great restaurant for all three meals of the day, seating indoor and outdoor by the ocean to have your meals, an extremely warm heated pool (we swam in pool even though it was a cold january day), the beach access was awesome, starbucks and gelato stand were an added bonus, and proximity to the arts district (9 mins drive) wickham park (13 mins drive), and orlando airport (60 mins drive) were all worth it for us. staff was really friendly, our room was updated and very nice/new, and had a balcony looking toward the pool and beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Valet Parking
Stay was great except for not knowing about the Valet parking, and we had stayed there many times in the past. Had conflicting information about the requirements from the person who checked us in and the Valet staff. Was told by hotel employee it was mandatory, but was then told by Valet employee it was not and you could park your vehicle without charge, but it would have to be parked across the street from the hotel. Hotel employee also said charges were separate and had to be paid directly to Valet company as they were contracted. Valet company said at the end of our stay that it could have been charged to the room.

Thank You SO much to the Crowne Plaza Melbourne-Oceanfront for kicking-off my New Year 2024... in style! I arrived on January 1st New Year's Day from across the pond, England, for 3 nights, until the 4th. I was travelling to Melbourne for work. My work schedule and meetings began on the 5th January. So beforehand, I wanted to arrive a few days earlier to relax and unwind on the beach. I was actually previously booked in to a different hotel a little further along the beach. However, when I started reading all of the reviews for all of the oceanfront hotels in Melbourne, I noticed the Crowne Plaza's General Manager, Alan, replied to every single review... good, bad or indifferent. This really stood-out to me. Here is a GM who takes great pride in his work and his hotel. This hotel, because of Alan, got my vote of confidence. So, I cancelled my reservation with the previous oceanfront hotel and booked immediately with the Crown Plaza Melbourne-Oceanfront... and it was the best decision I could have made! While writing this review, I noticed I can only use 1,500 words so I will be leaving a more in-depth review elsewhere. Very quickly... THANK YOU to 'Chuck' (front-desk), 'Dillon' (front-desk), 'Joe' (front-desk who granted my late 2pm checkout) 'Judy' & 'Angie' (Breakfast), 'Shawn' or 'Shaun' (the best bartender) and 'Marco' (the greatest shuttle driver I've ever had). I know the attitudes of all these wonderful staff filters from the top - Alan. A Hundred Thank You's!

The Very good: The members of staff contacted me politely by text to inquire about my stay. I was able to tell them that the thermostat in my room hadn't been working, and they sent someone up to fix it on Christmas day, which I was very appreciative of. The bad: perhaps the hotel was short-staffed, but at neither check-in nor check-out did a bellman help with my luggage (and I had a lot, as I was in town to see family for Christmas). Luckliy, the carts were readily available, so I loaded my items on the cart and took them to. y room, and then at check-out, to my car myself.

We strive to make the Crowne Plaza a home away from home for all of our guests. I wanted to reach out personally to thank you for your understanding regarding the Valet Parking and our Bellmen. Valet Parking is a new feature to our hotel, and we are learning every day how to make it a welcome feature to our guests rather than it being a burden. For the historic name of Crowne Plaza, you don’t get much. The location was great, but the food choices on property were lacking. Terrible menu and low quality food. It needs a quality restaurant suited for its name. The room was nice, but small and lacking amenities. Sorry, won’t be returning.
