Not sure how 4 stars are given when everything requested was granted & text communication seemed to be positive. I was asked to leave my home & not return until the family checked out. I did just that. As for small children not recommended; I raised 4 boys here & have entertained a family with 9 very busy children. If it's because of ceramic pottery items they can be moved if concern is an issue. Meeting Maria & Mom was a pleasure, the rest of the family arrived after I left the property.

Looking back at my property description it clearly states Sharing my personal (I do live here) is the opening sentence. George admitted he did not read the description. Personal safety is a perception & I cannot change anyone's perception since that becomes your reality even if there is no evidence to suggest safety concerns. Although attending a wedding on their 2nd day bicycles were brought into the house on my wood floors. My son explained that the bikes need to be out on the covered porch. As I came back later that night the bikes were brought into the house & upstairs to the bedrooms. Again I requested the bikes be placed out of the house. Substantial alcohol was in the refrigerator & kitchen,which is not a problem, but George accused someone entering his nephews room & turning a light on @ 2a.m.. I questioned if his other young man had been drinking & entered the room by accident. If the door was locked no one could enter. George also said a black dress was placed on his niece's luggage bag which was creepy. The black long pocketed dress had new tags attached & was on a hanger behind a cedar bench next to the travel bag. While making the beds, after I arrived home from work I placed the bag on the bench thinking it was his niece's dress since there was a hair bungee on the travel bag. Nothing creepy or suspicious occurred during their stay & if they had met Patrick who stayed in a room on the main floor the next night they could gave met a fine, respectful young family man in for another wedding. George was informed of this day's in advance. My home has functioned much like properties I stayed in Italy, Germany, Switzerland & Austria. I don't believe George & his family would function well overseas. 6 years this property & reviews have excelled, I understand I can't please everyone. Read the description, reviews & contact hosts to verify your needs. No one will be disappointed if you've done your due diligence. Good luck & happy experiences.

I'm not sure what was not convied to the group by Debra. Adjusting thermostats to 70 degrees & walking into the house with dirty outside shoes was addressed again after the group arrived via text without acknowledgement from Debra. The house rules are clearly spelled out in the listing & were texted to Debra with my directions to the property. I don't believe Debra explained anything to the other 5 older women. I understand some of the women expected to receive a Hilton experience for $40/ night. If each person is to receive their own bed in their own room there is a significant amount of cleaning when stripping 8 individual beds inaddition to laundering all bedding. The star rating is based on the accuracy of the listing & cleanliness. I discussed the extreme wet Spring conditions prior to Debra's booking. One of the women left a personal pillow behind that I set aside for pick up after their stay. Multiple pots of coffee, fresh cinnamon rolls & fruit were provided each morning. With no comunication or grievance stated during the 2 nights. It is difficult to understand what could make their experience better without communication. 3 stars with no explanation does no one any good, I wish I had more information to better any guests stay. I did not reduce their rating although I had to reiterated the house rules. Thanks for stopping & may your future experiences be great.
