Always amazing!
We are never let down when we stay at the cottage. Mona and Bryon’s attention to detail goes above and beyond. Beautiful setting. Great fishing. Comfortable cottage. So peaceful. We’ve been staying at the cottage every year since we were married there in 2014. We are never disappointed! Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!

Our favorite place
We love coming here year after year. The cottage is so cozy and clean and the views are amazing! You can tell Mona and Bryon take great pride maintaining their property. It is our little piece of paradise!! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Lovely Cottage Stay!
My Fiance and I had a wonderful time staying at this lovely cottage! The property was beautiful and the cottage was cozy. We had a blast exploring the area and relaxing while watching the birds and chipmunks in the backyard. We will definitely be returning soon!

A Slice of Heaven
This was our third stay, and it was nothing short of amazing, as usual. Our first stay, in 2018, is when we got engaged. Our second stay, in 2019, was to celebrate our honeymoon. This stay, in 2023, was to celebrate our 4-year anniversary. From the first impression, to just this recent stay, the Campbell Farm cottage and property holds a very special place in our hearts and lives. The cottage is filled with all of the comforts of home and have a way of taking you back in time, when things were less hectic. Inside and out, Campbell Farm is absolutely one of the most beautiful, peaceful and comfortable places on earth. A true slice of heaven. As before, all of our senses were filled with the most beautiful sights, sounds and smells of nature all around. We loved seeing all of our wildlife friends again. They seemed to enjoy having us back. And the hosts, Mona & Bryon, are two of the most beautiful, pleasant and down-to-earth people we've ever met. We love Campbell Farm and everything about it! And we can't wait to go back!

Each visit to Campbell Farm is a joy
We have been coming to this property for over 10 years and each visit has been wonderful. The hosts are wonderful people. The pond, flowers, birds, and peacefulness of the cottage property are outstanding. The kitchen is well equipped. We like to bring food and cook in the cottage. We always drive over to one of the GAP trail parking lots and ride our bikes (or run) on the trail. Our favorite ride is from Meyersdale to Frostburg. We have never been disappointed by a visit to Campbell Farm.

Wonderful, private spot to unplug. No tv, no problem. Beautiful property to hike, fish, birdwatch, build a fire and roast marshmallows. Comfortable cottage with cozy bed, kitchen has everything you need and more. Be prepared to drive to local sites to bike, raft, and visit Wright-designed homes, about 30-40 mins away. Scenery is worth the drive.

What an amazing way to experience PA. Being quite an adventurous spirit this was perfect. We were able to spend the day out in Ohiopyle exploring, and then come back to this wonderful location to relax.

Peaceful Retreat
We love our stay at Mona and Byron's cottage. It is so quiet and relaxing. We just watch the birds for hours. The cottage is very comfortable and has all that you need for a perfect stay. The area is lovely for outdoor adventures!

Yes, we are near the GAP, Fallingwater, Ohiopyle. AND some of our guests come and never leave the property! Fishing in the pond (catch and release) is for only you when you are guests at the "Cottage" And, folks tell us they have never seen so many different birds!

An absolute delight.
My husband and I rented this property over a weekend. It was even better than we expected. Everything was beautiful and well maintained. I felt like someone dropped me into a hidden garden. The birds, flowers, pond, and trails were glorious. I took amazing pics and would absolutely rent there again. Added bonus...the bed was super comfy too!!

Wonderful place to escape!
This was the perfect getaway as a surprise for my husband for our anniversary. It certainly gave him the much needed rest and relaxation he is missing in his daily life. The cottage was spotless and so welcoming with absolutely everything we could have needed to make our stay as wonderful as it was. Mona and Byron were personable and friendly and wonderful to spend time with. They gave us a lot of interesting information about the history of their property. And the surroundings! I have never seen so many different kinds of birds or been serenaded before by a bullfrog at night! The property provided plenty of beautifully maintained trails for quiet, relaxing walks with wonderful views of the pond, mountains, valleys, and fields. This is a perfect place for a secluded getaway to let the rest of the world go by. Hated to leave! Hope to return. Many, many thanks Mona and Byron.

Love this place!
This is our third stay at this quaint cabin. What a great place to relax and unwind. It was hard to leave. The cottage is perfect for two and we had everything we needed. Mona and Bryon are great hosts. We can’t wait to come back next year! Be sure to try Bryon’s maple syrup, it is delicious! We took a few jugs home!!

Bryon loves that he finally - after our 30 years here - able to tap the trees, woodfire process the "water" and enjoy the unique flavor of maple syrup processing. My stays here are always wonderful!
This was our first time returning since the beginning of the pandemic. I always relax so much when I'm here. The property is even more beautiful than the website photos, the cottage is very comfortable. It's our home away from home. Thank you Mona and Bryon!

Peace and quiet
This is our second stay here and we always find the place completely ready for guests. We dont cook alot while we are here but there is enough there for us to cook breakfast in the mornings. Bring pancake supplies and try the maple syrup! Rivers edge cafe is a good place to visit if your looking for a nice sit down dinner. Make reservations! This cabin is the perfect place to just relax and listen to the birds and frogs sing!

Yes, bring pancake fixing and let me know if I forgot to put out a sample of the maple syrup we make here on the homestead. We use a woodfired evaporated and the syrup has a caramel undertone that is different from the flavor of most syrup you will purchase in the grocery store. These products are made using a reverse osmosis process. The FLAVOR is in the handcrafted - - - and you can walk among the maple trees here on our homestead.

Awesome as usual
Second time staying at the Campbell farm 1st time "Glamping" amazing 2nd time this time at the cottage.as usual Mona and Bryon do an amazing job. We are in need of nothing , it's clean and comfortable. The only problem we had is the toilet it offers nothing to anyone who has any slight disability be it age or physical.. We love that it is a composting unit and no odor but very hard to use.

Incredible Retreat
The property is stunning. Walking paths through wildflower meadows with lots of well used bird houses. The property is oriented towards the west which makes for stunning sunsets. The hosts are incredibly gracious (we had a booking mistake on our end) and welcoming. Their attention to detail (written instructions on care of cast iron skillet, compost bucket for kitchen, fresh wildflower bouquet, well stocked bird feeders) made our stay a highlight of the year. We will be back.

Second stay as great as the first.
This is our second time staying with Mona, but the first in the cottage. This stay was just as good as the last. We needed something to do for our 20th anniversary since our plans of a cruise were dashed by the virus. We remembered how much we enjoyed staying at the other house, so we decided to go back for the weekend. Definitely do not regret it. Everything we needed was provided. Even with the single ac unit upstairs, it was comfortable in the 100 degree heat. Cute and cozy, but roomy enough and homey. The toilet took a minute to adjust to, but was absolutely no issue over the course of the weekend. Tons of wildlife around the cottage to watch and enjoy. I'm sure we would have loved walking the grounds and hanging out by the pond, but the heat kept us from doing much of that. We were more than happy to just hang out watching movies and be together, so that was fine. We couldn't be happier and will definitely be back to stay again! Thank you so much for saving our anniversary! :)

First vacation rental I've had that made me want to come back just to stay there again!
Everything about this place was perfect. I appreciated that they are keeping 24 hours between guests and have a contactless check-in. Communication was excellent and Mona gave us great suggestions of places to hike that wouldn't be crowded. Everything we could think of that we might possibly need, they had already thought of it. Kitchen was very well stocked. We spent most of our time sitting in the sunroom watching the birds and other animals around the feeders. Don't hesitate to book this cottage!

A piece of heaven
We will gladly return to this property! It's like something out of a disney movie with all of the animals talking and singing! We spent alot of time sitting in the sun room and just relaxing. Alot of time was spent fishing the pond. We had nice weather most of time during the day and really just got to kick back and enjoy. Mona was very responsive when I had a question and even though they are there on the property you would never know. The care and cleanliness of the property really shows! This was our first experience with a compositing toilet and it's nothing that would keep me away! My only draw back was we brought food for grilling but the grill was a very small charcoal tabletop grill and it rained atleast a little most evenings so we never used it. The area has few dinning options close by but dough girls is the place to go if you do find yourself wanting takeout! Overall it was a great time and we would love to come back again!

We love that - "true gem" and "nature abounds." Being surrounded by 100s of undeveloped woodland and fields provides a sanctuary for wildlife. "Come and see how peaceful country life can be."
