The property was large, quiet and was close enough to the beaches. The kitchen had a few deficits: no cutting boards, no pans deep enough to boil pasta water.

Great short stay
Well stocked with essentials and the washer and dryer were a big plus! Quiet and peaceful stay with board games and slow Wi-Fi to help deter electronics for the kids.

This listing really undersold what a great house this is! The view coming down the stairs from the loft is incredible. We enjoyed sitting around the firetable on the deck and listening to the river. We saw two elk in the front yard our first night, which was a bonus! Easy access for fun trips to the Tree of Life and the Quinault Rain Forest Trailhead. The owners warned us ahead of time that there aren't a ton of options for grocery stores nearby but our Salmon House Restaurant & Creekside Restaurant meals were big enough for leftovers that we supplemented with snacks from the Queets Trading Post.

Great place to stay. Kids had a blast playing in the river. Very clean and beautiful log cabin. Would definitely stay again.

Rustic Cabin on the western Olympic Peninsula
My family and I really enjoyed staying in this charming log cabin. We were looking for a base from which to explore the Hoh Rain Forest and the Kalaloch Coast and this cabin was great for that. It was very remote and peaceful and we particularly enjoyed the Clearwater River flowing right out back. Some nearby elk sighting only added to the experience. Having all beds in one lofted room was a different experience but one that we ultimately enjoyed. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

A beautiful place to get away from it all.
Great location for access to Olympic Peninsula beaches! Beautiful river on the property. Not far from two National park rainforests. Make sure you buy groceries or necessities in Forks, because it is an 1.5 hour drive away. There are convenience stores within a 30 min. Drive. Would love to go back and stay again.

Perfect location
We have stayed once before near Kalaloch. It was right on the ocean and this time we wanted to be at a nice house but not have to expense of oceanfront. This cabin was perfect. It only took 12 min to drive to the beach and we loved the pond and the river. Every night we fell asleep listening to the frogs. The property manager was very helpful and went above and beyond, in my books, by accommodating my request to shift my dates up by one day. He did not charge me any extra fees and I appreciated this very much. One thing that I did not notice in the description was that this property does not have a bathtub. I was looking forward to soaking and relaxing in one and did not notice that there isn't one in either of the two bathrooms. Not a complaint, but just something to note....

Relaxing cabin
Lovely cabin in a serene location. Property was convenient to access day trips into Olympic National Park or just to spend the time relaxing in the cabin. The river provided great entertainment for my kids along with the games. There was a firepit and grill on the deck to use.
