I'm sure this hotel was beautiful back in its day, but now it's run down and uncomfortable. We were told by a local law enforcement officer that it's in the process of being turned into low-income housing. The location wasn't the greatest but were told, "don't worry, the police station is only four blocks away." The room was filthy, the lamps and tables were sticky and there were large muddy (I hope) hand prints on the inside of the window. There was no closet. Only one lamp worked. There was no blanket or comforter on the bed, just a thin bedspread. The bathtub/shower was moldy and discolored. When my husband tried to take a shower, the drain backed up immediately and filled the tub with brown water. It didn't smell too bad, surprisingly, especially if you don't mind the smell of marijuana.
