Great, cozy cabin
My family really enjoyed our stay at Karen's cabin. It was enough space for all 8 of us, every bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make family meals together! The location was a cherry on top with great walks along the river, a short drive to some great waterfalls, and close to Crystal ski resort. Karen was a great host, checking in on us, and offering some great local hike recommendations. We hope to return in the future.

Perfect Ski Getaway -easy distance to Crystal
We stayed for 3 days, and it was perfect for us. Fit our family of 5 easily (3 kids, 21, 19, and 15; could have brought friends). Family loved the floor plan. Place was well stocked and just as listed. We hot tubbed after skiing each night, and sat by the fire before and after dinner. The fireplace really does heat up the house nicely. It was an easy drive back and forth to the mountain. The one complaint the kids had was the network (wifi) wasnt good (gaming or social media). We were able to stream two movies on the TVs (one upstairs and one downstairs) so was really good enough. Again this was told ahead of time (spotty mountain internet). Overall perfect and we'll definitely stay here again.

Great location
The cabin sits among the trees and provides a wonderful place to relax between hikes and sightseeing. Perfect place to stay for easy access to Mt Rainier and hiking trails.

Perfect experience
Exploring Mt. Rainier with out-of-town family was perfect with the chalet as our home base. Coming back to a place with warm showers, a great kitchen and grill, comfy beds, a steaming hot tub, big screen TV to watch the Women’s World Cup, and NO MOSQUITOES made our time at Mt. Rainier the highlight of my family’s trip.

Great spot in Crystal!
Karen’s place is perfect. Wonderful for a family. Has everything you’d need or want. Quick drive to Crystal. Awesome for 2 families even! She was so good to communicate with. We loved it and will be back again! This zone/location has ne looking for real estate there!!! Awesome place!

Perfect Crystal Getaway
My group of 6 stayed here for a week while we snowboarded at Crystal Mountain and couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Location is about as ideal as you can get in relation to the proximity to crystal mountain. The house itself was gorgeous in the winter time with it's seclusion in the woods. Add in the hot tub, fire place and modern amenities of the cabin, you'll be hard pressed not to enjoy your stay. Karen has a beautiful home and is also an excellent host. She was in contact with me all throughout the lead up and trip itself. Nothing came up but had it she was a quick phone call away.

Spacious, beautiful, and well stocked
Great place to stay for our Crystal ski trip. It was a 20 minute drive to the hill (which has free EV charging - see Crystal website for details). The chalet was huge for 8 people and Karen has it stocked with plenty of disposable products like paper towels, garbage bags, soaps, etc. The kitchen has good pots and pans, knives, etc, not the cheap stuff you often find. I brought my own frying pan (they are never big enough) so I never saw that but the rest of the cookware and dishes were awesome for 8 people. Also - easy to get to with flat roads and ample parking.

Family ski and board trip
Traveling in from local PNW, Texas, and North Carolina, a blended family of 9, we arrived and had the best time! Karen, our host, was amazing with detailed instructions on how everything worked and a lovely home to meet all of our needs. The location to Crystal mountain resort was a hop skip away (just 20 minutes). Even getting to the local Safeway was a mere 25-ish minutes away. The neighborhood was quiet and every morning we met the local Elk wandering through the front yard. Truly a magical place! We could not have asked for a better set up.

Great spot for Crystal Mountain
We booked this location to go skiing at Crystal Mountain, and it was a great fit! Great location close to the mountain, could accommodate a large group, and had a well equipped kitchen with all the necessary items to cook for a large group.

Easy Trip
Karen was the most attnetive host. We came a distance and checked in very late. Karen was worried and wondered if we needed help. Seven of us stayed for 3 days. The home made us feel there was plenty of space and privacy for each.

Perfect quiet getaway
We didn't research the location of this property as well as we should have, but we were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Approximately 20 minutes from Boone and 30 minutes from Beech Mountain, this property was perfect for a quiet vacation with our kids. John allowed us the opportunity to do some sledding on the property behind the house and enjoy some free range exploring. It was magnificent to take the kids out in the snow and enjoy nature. The sledding was EPIC! If you visit in the winter, don't forget your sled. The house was extremely clean and spacious. We couldn't have asked for a better trip. It is beneficial to have 4 wheel drive for the driveway. Suggestion: be sure to have the wifi password ready upon arrival. We had to go back down the driveway and to the main road so I could have enough signal to check email to get the door code and wifi password. They were serious when they mentioned minimal/no reception. Once connected to wifi we had no issues with connection, though.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful 3 night stay. This was a last minute booking and Karen was extremely helpful! The home was very clean and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. The first morning we were there a herd of elk were hanging out in the driveway which was really cool too. This location was convenient for our hikes we had planned at Mt. Rainer. Overall our stay exceeded our expectations!

The perfect hot tub after a long hike!
We had a blast staying at this beautiful home. Karen was an absolute pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond to make sure my friends and family had all the information we needed prior to starting our trip. Enumclaw being a small mountain has very limited service and shops so Karen's instructions saved us a ton of time and headaches. The home was clean and and the beds were comfortable. The best part was the hot tub we all got to soak in after our long day of hike and the numerous massaging jets in it. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Mount Rainer.

Well worth it!
Karen's house has pretty much everything on our wishlist for a vacation home - The house is spacious enough for four adults and three teens. It's beautifully decorated and very well maintained. The jacuzzi, the big TV, and the various board games guarantee the quality time with family and friends. There are also generous supplies at the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms for our convenience. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Karen's house and highly recommend it for families visiting Mt. Rainier.

Fantastic cabin near Crystal Mountain
We stayed at the Elk Meadow Chalet for a weekend in August. The cabin is just as described in the listing. It is extremely spacious, very clean, and very well-equipped. There is plenty of space to park up to four cars in the driveway. Communication with Karen was smooth and regular. As a bonus, we got to see a family of elk right in the driveway on Sunday morning.

Weekend hiking at Mt. Rainier
We stayed here for a quick weekend of hiking near Sunrise. The property was just as pictured and very neat and tidy. The owner was very helpful, even suggesting favorite local hikes and where to get groceries. Dining out options are limited in the near area but the kitchen was well stocked for cooking in. We did not use the hot tub but did enjoy sitting in the outdoor areas. We will return!

Great house!
We had a great stay even in the hottest of summer days without a/c. Karen was an excellent communicator (very responsive to my multiple requests/questions), and we came prepared with fans and had no issues even witj 95 deg days. The house was perfect for our 2 families of 4, and it’s well stocked with everything you could need (detergent, shower items, towels, cookware, dishes…everything!). Karen really thought of everything. Close to Mt. Rainier, and in the neighborhood you can walk to the white river to wade and splash around. Also playground, horse stables, playfields, and we even saw some of the elk herd while we were there. Highly recommend for families!!

Our only complaint is no AC. We were there with record heat and it was tough to get comfortable. Other than that we loved the space, location, hot tub, clean and well stocked, games. Felt like home away from home. Just wish it had been cooler.

Beautiful mountain home near Mt. Rainier
We stayed at the Elk Meadow Chalet for a few nights to explore Mt. Rainier with our kids. It is one of the better equipped homes we've stayed in, with many thoughtful extras provided. Our kids loved hanging out in the loft, watching tv, having their own bathroom. The house is very clean with everything you'll need, including fire pit, beautiful backyard, washer/dryer, hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, plush towels, comfortable mattresses and soft linens for a great night's sleep. It's the little things that matter, and the owners of this mountain home have done a great job to make guests feel comfortable. When we had a question, Karen quickly replied via text which was appreciated. We hope to return soon :)

Great Property and location to Crystal Mountain
We went to Crystal Mountain for my wife's birthday with some friends and this property was great. Plenty of room and great amenities. The hot was awesome and we were all very comfortable for our stay. Highly recommend this place if you are heading up the mountain

Great base for skiing Crystal Mountain
Karen’s house is comfortably furnished and outfitted with all the basics, as well as some extras (like a great selection of board games). We had everything we needed for a four-day ski trip and had plenty of space to stretch out. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was clean and as pictured. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. Our 3 year old has food allergies so that’s pretty key for us so we can do our own cooking. The hot tub was amazing with massaging jets! We loved the neighborhood too. It was quiet with friendly neighbors and a little play area for our kiddo right down the street. We got some snow to play in and saw a herd of elk. It was a peaceful getaway for us and nice proximity to Crystal Mountain. We’ll be back!

Cute cabin in the woods
A group of friends and I stayed at this place for a ski trip recently. It's a convenient spot near Crystal mountain resort and was well furnished and clean. Karen, the owner, was very attentive and informational. She kept in contact with us easily to update us on everything that could affect our trip even months before we came. When the ski resort kept changing rules on reservations, then parking, or weather conditions... Karen was on it. Made traveling easier knowing what we were getting into. The listing is accurate and Karen was kind. I admit, the process for booking was a little intimidating, but was not bad. The owners cover everything to a T. Would recommend this place to anyone that love nature and skiing. It was relaxing and gorgeous scenery.

Amazing host helped us every day!
Cabin is great, really close to Crystal but what made our stay was our host, Karen who checked in on us through VRBO and texts every day. She helped us find the lantern when we had power out for the first few hours of the first night and provided PSE updates along the way. Would definitely recommend the property to any other families planning a Crystal Mountain ski trip.

Perfect in all ways
We had such a great time at Elk Meadow Chalet! Perfect location at Crystal River Ranch. The house is very spacious and set up well. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Great laundry room/mud room for all your ski/boarding gear to dry off so it’s not strewn all over the rooms and house. Hot tub was great and spacious as well. The upstairs loft set up with 4 twin beds and full bath was great for the kids. Plenty of the best board games, Rummikub and The Floor is Lava kept even the adults well entertained. We certainly want to stay again!

Great Chalet near Crystal
My family stayed here over thanksgiving and were so impressed with how comfortable and well appointed this home is. The owner is very communicative and so hospitable. The location is very close to Crystal we were hoping to ski, but with very little snow still had a great time sledding , hiking, and viewing elk right from the cabin! I highly recommend this beautiful home and we hope to stay again!

Beautiful Mountain retreat
My parents met up with my husband and I in Greenwater for some late summer hiking around Sunrise. This beautiful home is set within a housing “complex” but all the homes are tucked in the forest and around the river. This house in particular is private with a fenced private backyard allowing for private, relaxing time in the hot tub or lounging in the Adirondack chairs for evenings wine and sunsets. The beds are cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and well appointed with room for everyone to be in the kitchen at the same time for meal prep. Karen is very friendly and responded very kindly and quickly to any little issue. We highly recommend this rental and hope to return ourselves when needing a mountain retreat.

Family getaway
We had a relaxing and fun time together at Karen's place! We made many meals, we liked grilling and eating at the big table together, and we played games and watched movies. Clean, cozy and great location
My family stayed in this property for three nights and we had a great stay! The property was clean, cozy and perfect for the four of us with more than enough space. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all of the cookware and utensils we needed. The hot tub was a fantastic way to relax after hikes. The property is in a great location for visiting the Crystal Mountain resort area or the Sunrise area in Mt. Rainier National Park. Karen was very informative throughout the booking process and easy to reach during our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if in the area.

Family Vacation Success
Though we originally wanted to stay at the Paradise Inn - this family of 5 would have needed 3rooms which would have been more costly then this 1 3bedroom home that sleeps 8 and already has so much of what we needed. It was convenient to Paradise, Sunrise and Crystal Mountain. The home is very nicely decorated and clean. WiFi is slower but not really bad for the 5 adults. You need to get groceries /gas about 1/2 hr away in Enuclaw and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Karen for being so easy to work with.

Thank you for choosing Elk Meadow Chalet! and yes ..... about that WIFI! My 2 purchased wifi plans are the best in the area Hughesnet Satellite and DSL through Centurylink. Rumor has it fiberoptic may be arriving this fall as part of the push to get more connection to rural areas. When it arrives I'll be the first to get it! Until now, I pay for 2 accounts that help with multiple guests and utilize text, email and sometimes glitching streaming depending on the number of users. The DISH satellite is good for all the typical cable type programming. My family loves getting back to nature, but we cannot do without Redzone, PPV, sports access and basic connectivity for work, hence all the new TV's, Dish and 2 wifi services. Am so glad you enjoyed your stay! Please visit us again and thank you so much for staying with us!

Perfect house to celebrate a grandmother’s birthday!
From check in to check out, our multigenerational family of 7 couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Karen provided excellent tips to help us get the most out of our vacation. The house was pure perfection… clean, spacious, bright and airy, with updated appliances, and beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and furniture. We enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of nature. The location allowed us quick access (15 minutes to the park entrance and 20 minutes a to Enumclaw where we enjoyed the many wonderful, quaint restaurants. We hope to come again.

Staying at Karen's place was comfortable and enjoyable for our July 4th weekend retreat. The proximity to Mt. Rainier was very convenient. It's about 30 minutes from "civilization," which was exactly what we wanted. We made good use of the kitchen, grill, and hot tub during our stay. When we accidentally locked ourselves out of our rental car, Karen helped get us in touch with the local fire chief. Recommended!

Great summer getaway at Elk Meadow Chalet!
We loved our stay here, that allowed for 4 long-time friends to have a weekend away to catch up during the pandemic. This is a great property and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Well-appointed kitchen for meals at home. Quiet, private bedrooms and loft area perfect for groups. The property is well maintained. Pretty much 4-5 stars for everything. We spent most of our time in the living area, kitchen and back hot tub area and didn't get a chance to enjoy the spacious fenced yard. We did note that the house is in the path of an elk herd commute and saw them coming and going each day between the house and the next property. Got some great pictures! The town of Enumclaw is close enough to be able to go shopping, pick up what you need, or enjoy an evening or day out, but far enough away that this is a true getaway spot.

What a kind review! Yes! the elk are fantastic and quite a perk to living there. We are lucky to have that 50+ head herd as resident neighbors. Thanks for being such great guests. Please visit again!

Great getaway
We had an awesome time at the cabin. It's located really close to hiking and crystal mountain. The home is very clean, well furnished, and comfortable. Host gave recommendations for how to stay cool in the hot weather.

Mountain Paradise
We travel and stay at many rentals and this property definitely deserves a 5-star rating. Karen was awesome to work with and the property was beautiful. We enjoyed the privacy of the property and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after hard days of hiking. We look forward to returning to this property this winter for a ski weekend. You will not be disappointed!!
