Pretty location....pity about the service.
Nicely situated just outside the town of Eger about 2 hours out of Budapest. But poor quality staffing meant that corridors to rooms were never cleaned (Same piles of dust on the stairs throughout 4 days). Tiny bath towels. No clean towels or bath mats provided at all. No spare toilet rolls....1 per room. Four shower cap boxes in bathroom but only one contained a shower cap!...the rest were empty. Soap only available from a dispenser. Requests for room service or poolside service for sandwiches etc (as they advertise 24/7) were met each time with a curt: "No!" (No explanation provided just 'No!'). TV/Radio only in Hungarian language. Check-out muddled; they had no record of my advance payment to Expedia when I booked 8 months ago, so I ended having to pay again and sort it out on my return...which Expedia are now doing.

Staff is professional. The breakfast is excellent, Dinner at the restaurant is convenient, but honestly there are much better and cheaper options nearby. WiFi is terrible and not working at times. YouTube is blocked and any video streaming. Not recommended to stay here for business if you need the ability to work remotely. No body soap provided in hotel room. Also, there are frequently large parties arriving on bus late at night and it can be noisy some nights.

Spa hotel close to the wine cellars of Eger
Ideal choice for a weekend away, with good spa facilities, a decent restaurant and swift, efficient staff. Villa Völgy is a complex of lodging houses ranged around pretty gardens and a little church. Free, off-street parking is close by, or paid for within the complex itself. Eger city centre is about 15 minutes' walk or it's an easy, cheap taxi journey. This is not five-star pampering but it doesn't have to be – Villa Völgy is perfect for those who want to enjoy the attractions of Eger, and spend a couple of hours in the pool and saunas. Recommended.

Only breakfast was good. This is 2-3* hotel. Poor WiFi. On 5 days room cleaned only once. In wellness towels "on the cards"?!

Good place with great location!
Good hotel with great location!! We loved everything except the lack of wariness of helpfulness from the receptionist. Also we have three rooms to our booking and were placed in 3 separate buildings.

2 Tägigen kurz Urlaub im angeblichen Deluxe Zimmer. Das Zimmer war zu klein, die Ausstattung enttäuschend.

Nice hotel with spa and access to wine cellars
I keep coming back to this place on business trips. Good breakfast, better wi-fi now than before. Nice area 5 min away with restaurants and wine cellars in the "Valley of the Beatiful Woman"

Szép környék
Először voltunk, de nem utoljára. Nem a szállás tehet róla, de mi belefutottunk egy társaságba, akik azt hitték ha a Szépasszonyvölgyben vannak, akkor részegnek kell lenniük.

A Night in Eger
This Villa was perfect! The spa area was exactly what I needed! And it was walking distance from the wine caves. A $2 can drive took you into the city center or a very lovely 25 minute walk. The staff went above what you would expect as they let me store my luggage on check out day, then called a cab so I could go to the train station. They even looked up the train schedule to let me know the train times. Before entering the cab, they told the driver exactly where I wanted to go. Beautiful place, excellent food, support service!

A hotel impozáns megjelenésű, gyönyörű környezetben, jó megközelíthetőséggel rendelkezik. A lehetőségek széleskörűek, talán a szolgáltatásokon lehetne még javítani... A wellness szolgáltatások nem voltak mindíg elérhetőek, például nyitási idő után 20-30 perccel is még zárva voltak az ajtók és a szaunák és egyéb kabinok nem lettek időben beindítva. Ezek egy rövid, egyéjszakás pihenésnél igen bosszantóak, hiszen a szobát 10:30-ig el kell hagyni, így a 8:00-10:00 reggeli időszakot nem tudtuk igényeink szerint kihasználni. A bejelentkezésnél nem jelezték hogy a parkolásért díjat számolnak fel, illetve a hirdetésben szereplő ingyen WIFI szolgáltatáshoz sem kaptunk jelszót.

Charming guest house perched on the Black Sea
We had a wonderful stay in Sozopol at the Deep Blue Guest House. The rooms are comfortable, but not luxurious, with balconies overlooking the Black Sea. There is a great little breakfast place around the corner at the Art Hotel and Restaurant that offers delicious breakfasts (again with tables overlooking the sea).

Hotel doesn't comply with Expedia
About a fortnight before my trip, I received an email directly from the hotel cancelling my room. On Expedia it still looked to be in place. I complained to Expedia who got in touch with the hotel to reinstate my booking. However, the hotel kept emailing me directly and demanded: 1. I immediately pay a holding deposit on my credit card via a manual form if I wanted the room to not be cancelled 2. That if I want the room, I have to pay the same room rate but be downgraded to a 3* room instead of 4*. Given it was such late notice, and I couldn't find any accommodation left in Eger I had to comply. When I checked out I was forced to pay for the 4* room rate despite being given a 3* room (a noticeable difference - a completely different building and not a very nice room). Would definitely not recommend.

A szálloda kiválló környezeti adotságokkal rendelkezik. Közelelben szinvonalas, családias éttermek, a Szépasszony völgyi pincék pezsgő világával. A szolgáltatások színvonala magas, a szálloda munkatársai figyelmesek, udvariasak, alkalmazkodók.

I stayed 2 nights on a biz trip, room itself is ok, breakfast also ok, no fresh fruit and bread was definately not freshly baked. The Wellness Center is open to the public and was totally full in the evenings so i did not use it a second time.

Kedves, kulturált fogadtatás; udvarias kiszolgálások. Szoba, szálloda tisztasága, kényelme kifogástalan; apróbb észrevétel, kifogás: a szoba, fürdőszoba fényforrásai alacsony lux fényértékűek, kevés fényt adnak (103 szoba). Egyébként kitűnően éreztük magunkat. Köszönjük a vendéglátást minden szolgáltatást végzőnek!
