My goodness, Karl. I saw this review on the 23rd and tried to respond but it appeared to be taken down. I just noticed it again so now I will respond. This is quite the list of complaints and not once in the 5 days you stayed with us did you bring a single complaint to our attention. I was happy to wait up the night you arrived to greet you properly and I only took a few minutes of your time to show the common areas. You told me that you would be leaving for work early each day and I let you know that we would have coffee available early because my husband was always up early to start baking. No one was watching you when you left for work in the morning; the kitchen windows simply face the parking lot and we can see folks coming and going. He would notice if a car left early. I am sorry that you were not comfortable working in your suite but I did tell you that you could use the library to work in at any time during your stay. Your suite did have a table and chairs in the 2nd room and there are 3 outlets in each room. We certainly could have provided you with a surge protector if you had asked. As for breakfast, we are happy to put together a muffin or scone and coffee to go for folks that need to leave early but you never once came into the dining room, even on the Wednesday morning that you did not leave the Inn until midday. We do not want the guests to leave the keys in there room, we want them brought to the front desk so we can say a proper goodbye and it also assists in planning daily housekeeping. Every day I tried to be sure to at least say hello to you and ask you about your day, but you made it clear that you were not interested in small talk and seemed to prefer to keep to yourself. You left the Do Not Disturb sign on your door for the entire length of your stay so I did try to check in with you daily to make sure that you had what you needed in your suite. It's too bad that you did not get a chance to get to know Paul and I, because we are very welcoming and friendly hosts that will go above and beyond for our guests.

You and I had this conversation yesterday afternoon after you checked in ,and you suggested that we change the taps to a single tap. We have 3 bathrooms in our 150 year old historic Inn that have the original antique sinks and clawfoot bathtubs. We recently had all of them re-glazed so they look brand new. We have no plans to change the hot and cold water taps in the sinks. If you would like to return another time I suggest you stay in one of the ten rooms that do not have these sinks. I would be happy to recommend a room.

I have no idea who wrote this but the guests presently staying in the Inn are having a delightful time. Everyone on staff is always friendly and welcoming. If the anonymous writer would care to identify the exact issue that made him or her feel that we are unfriendly, we would certainly like to know about it so it could be addressed.
