I love this hotel, have stayed here every year, for the past 20 yrs. The staff are unbelievable, especially the day porter now, used to be night porter “Alan”, the receptionist Shannon and the new Bartender I just met “David”. I have never had a problem here, the rooms are spotless and spacious, food excellent, but again, the staff make the place extra special.

Wir waren Für 3 Nächte und fanden es mega schön, super schönes und sauberes Hotel. Wunderschön in der Nstur gelegen. Sehr freundliche u. Zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter. Man fühlt sich total willkommen und wohl. Sehr gute und grosse Betten ( Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer) sehr gute Matratzen. Afternoon Tea sehr zu empfehlen.

Friendly guest services! Pool is fun (just make sure to check hours becwsue they have family swim and adult swim) Also, you need a swimcap! Delicious room service from Mapas. The baggage handler Sean was super helpful!

The people that work at this hotel are fantastic! Friendly and wanting to care to your every need. I would definitely stay here again, it made our trip to Ireland much better in many ways. I would also like to thank them for having our room ready when we arrived from an overnight flight and weren’t scheduled to check in until afternoon, it was right on time because we were exhausted.

The floor we were on was under renovation, but it wasn’t loud/didn’t disturb us. Our room was newly renovated. Loved the restaurants, attractions and DART access within walking distance.

For the price we paid I would expect a bit higher standard. The place was not refurnished for a long time and you can see it. I get it it is old fashion but this is not what I mean here. Was cold overall and darkish. Will I come back ? No not really.

Homely and professional hotel - kids loved it
Get the negatives out the way first. Very average water pressure (my lifelong bugbear) and a slightly convoluted system for use of the pool. Other than that, fantastic in every way. The drive up to the hotel was made extra special by the great lights (we were there just before Xmas). Staff were helpful, professional and friendly in the perfect balance. Room was clean, well furnished, and spacious. Perhaps slightly dark for some but not sure we actually worked out how to turn all the lights on!!! Restaurant was great value and dishes slightly quirky without being weird. Again, perfectly judged. Overall, absolutely loved it and wish we had more than 1 night.

I have stayed there before. It was ok. The breakfast is great. The mattress is very old and thin. Time to get better mattresses.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The dining facilities were very good. The bathroom had some lazy trim renovation/repair but everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time there for sure. Full disclosure, there was a water leak problem our last night that caused us to be woken up and sent to a marshaling area. They got the problem resolved within an hour and we were back in our room asleep shortly after.

Dear Christopher,I am very sorry that you had to be evacuated from your bedroom late on Saturday evening, unfortunately we did have a major burst pipe on the 4th floor. The emergency services were contacted, and a precautionary evacuation was advised for fire, health & safety reasons. Room was spacious. Hospitality was top notch. There was an unfortunate event. We had to evacuate due to a water leak and was without electricity/water for part of the night, however, the hotel agreed to refund the night and make things right. Would recommend anyone to stay here. We will definitely be coming back! 10/10

Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel is an excellent hotel for all your travel needs. Both the interiors and exteriors are simply breathtaking giving one the feeling of being a royalty while staying there yet the place offers excellent amenities at par with most modern hotels. Highly recommended.

Shocking! - Electrocuted by bedroom lamp.
This was my second stay. The hotel is overall really nice and restaurant was also good. The bar area and lounge is very comfortable. However... I was electrocuted by the bedside lamp that fell apart when I tried to turn it on. The top just fell off and I touched live pins that were exposed. The TV and fridge did not work. These were fixed after reporting them however I did expect an apology and a free drink would have been an easy making it up to me ;-)

We enjoyed 8 lovely nights in a family room. It was a spacious room, perfect for my husband and 2 year old. The hotel staff were friendly, the grounds lovely and having the coffee shop at the parking was AMAZING! We highly recommend this hotel!

Nice place overall. Unique hotel with great features like the dungeon bar and library lounge, plus the Mapas restaurant was really good. Nice view of Dublin bay from the hotel. If you stay here it’s about 30 minutes drive to downtown so car is needed, although I’m sure transit is available but we drove so it’s pretty easy. We did an (princess) afternoon tea for our daughter in the main lounge, and was quite happy with it. Reasonable prices for everything, I highly recommend this place as an alternative to staying downtown and it is a castle after all.

Disappointing
No hot water for 2 day for floor 4 & 5 - was advised to use showers in leisure centre except they aren’t private!! Colleague had to request another room that we could use to have a hot shower. I complained when I checked out - no offer of refund etc - really not good.

Dear LesleyI apologise that you had no hot water in your bedroom and had to use our fitness centre showers during your stay with us, this was certainly not ideal and not the service you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Good size room. Very comfortable bed and fine size bathroom. Robes & slippers, Coffee machine etc. Staff friendly. Food and wine list good, but way over. priced. Asked for help with heating and light repair twice and it never happened. Bar was not clean. Tables grubby and bar snacks all over the floor.. Nice area for country village walks. Nice building and grounds.

From walking in the door that staff was so kind and helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful. The food and drinks were amazing. Our room was much more spacious that I was expecting and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Over all it was a wonderful stay.

For an American, staying at a Castle turned into a hotel is pretty cool. Also: I enjoyed the heated indoor pool and Sauna rhat stays open till late.
