Great place for a family vacation
This was a perfect location to stay at when visiting Lake George. Just a few minutes from the village! We loved the pool and private beach including the kayaks guests can use for free. The grounds are very pretty and our suite was clean. My only complaint was that the stove in our room didn't have all burners functioning. And a few of the chairs by the pool have seen better days. But all in all, we would come back!

This is the perfect location for all! Private lake access with an abundance of kayaks, row boats, jet skis etc. Large pool open until nightfall, clean facility, room was well kept, staff was so nice and everyone was friendly. A few miles away from the main strip if that’s your preference or a few miles in the opposite direction to Bolton Landing which is a little slower paced. We will definitely be visiting again next year.

The villas themselves were dated. The beds were rock hard. The parking areas and drive thru areas were super narrow. The cafe was supposed to open at 8 am and wasn’t opened, even after checking at 8:30. No beach to go down to like advertised. Overall extremely disappointing. Won’t be staying here again.

The hotel staff were very friendly, and the location is great, but the room we stayed in was extremely uncomfortable ( bed was fine) but A/C didn’t keep room cool, we had to continuously ask for towels and garbage was overflowing (we emptied our own). There was no place to put clothes in room ( one luggage rack) but no dresser or shelf. We staye

Lenny, Sylvia and rest of staff were very friendly. Our only issue is our room had a funky smell in the living and bathroom area (like sewage). But, the ability to use the lakefront and the lake view was amazing!!

Staff was really great. The property is old but clean and they had it all, boats, kayaks, beautiful cove to swim in. Most of all comfortable beds and pillows!!!!

Our stay was great. Very convenient and the people were very nice. Rooms were good, had everything you need. The pontoon boats for rent are top of the line, not like some places that give you junk to go out on. If you go out on the lake you have to get a tube for the kids to ride on!

Perfect for families
Fantastic for families with kids. Plenty of grassy areas to run around on, a small playground, a nicely protected beach, and free use of canoes, kayaks, and rowboats. But be aware that there is a huge difference between unit types. All of the rooms are clean and, though basic in their furnishings, are well maintained. But the simple rooms, even those with 2 double beds, have no real kitchen facilities - only a small fridge and a microwave and not even an electric kettle - and no sitting area, inside or out, while the larger units have a full kitchen, small but adequate dining table and sitting area and a full-sized outdoor picnic table along with a private barbecue. Friendly and helpful owners. Was perfect for what we needed - grandparents, adult kids and grandchildren - and we would definitely stay again.

We agree. Many issues since NY state mandated "special" locks. We are looking for solutions:)

The property has lake view and small beaches, but all the facilities and boats, kayaks are ver old. Hotel facilities and staffs are part time students, don’t know how to clean the room, doesn’t have ice maker machine in premise, each room no chairs, not offer coffee, tee and cups, pretty basic. Based on the price it is over charge fir what they offer.

You sound like a traveler who has been in too many chain hotels. No offense, but you just don't "get" Lake George. Its about the Lake, nature and friendliness. Too many guests love it here. But we do listen to feedback.

This hotel sits directly on the lake and they have lawn chairs to lay out on. It’s very beautiful. The kayaks are free to use and very fun. There are bbq grills and picnic tables for you to cook. The rooms are a bit outdated but the bed was comfy. Enjoyed are stay.

Ligging aan mooi meer, maar oude, gehorige kamers
Inchecken begon al kort maar krachtig. Kregen weinig tot geen info, dus gingen er vanuit op de kamer wel info te vinden. Was niet het geval. Moesten weer terug naar receptie voor bijv. wifi-inlogcode. Kamer en badkamer waren schoon, maar wel erg oud. Kamers worden om de dag gepoetst, krijgt wel dagelijks schone handdoeken. De kamers zijn erg gehorig, konden gasten aan beide kanten van onze kamer bijv. horen hoesten. Ligging aan het meer is wel mooi, ligstoeltjes erbij en mogelijkheden tot kajakken of watersporten. Lake George is een leuke omgeving.

Très bon service.
La chambre est propre et bien équipée. Matelas très dur et qui fait du bruit quand on bouge par contre. Et les murs sont minces on entend tout chez les voisins. Beau site bien entretenu. Le monsieur à l'accueil est super sympathique. On avait réservé dernière minute avec Hotels.com qui nous ont affirmé qu'il y aurait quelqu'un a la réception quand on est arrivé il n'y avait personne. On a paniqué un peu. Il est finalement arrivé par hasard et nous a gentiment fait un check-in super rapide. Il m'a dit que c'était pas la première fois que ça arrivait avec Hotels.com. La réception fermait à 9h00. Mais super gentil.

The hotel is nice, private beach, fire pit and all... but the rooms are not as pleasing as the outside. You can feel the springs in the beds and the pillows are as flat as the floor beneath your feet. We only enjoyed that we could dock the boat on the location. Otherwise...... neverrrrr coming back.

I go to swim in the lake, so loved the beach area, clean, nice view. Loved the pool. Room was clean, beds were super comfy, like the old style furniture. Overall, was a good experience. Would go again.

Whaaaat? It's closed!?
With our booking confirmation from Hotels.com in hand, we drove 3.5hours from our home to Lake George. Not only did the hotel not look very nice .... but it was closed!! We ended up booking another hotel in Lake George directly

Sorry for your inconvenience but that is an ongoing issue with the travel sites. We informed them months ago but they still allow bookings. A winterized resort does not always look nice.

So so accommodations. Great access to lake though.
We went there thinking we were getting a villa but the room was extremely small. It was one room that could fit 2 beds. The tv was 19 inches. We upgraded to a 2 bedroom which ended up being 400.00 more, which I was ok with just to have more space. The accommodations to me were disappointing but if you want a peaceful place with great lake then you will probably be happy with it. I am a hotel snob so..... The villas need to be updated.

Again a travel site issue. Rooms they advertise don't always match the category the traveler chooses, usually looking for a lower price but expects more.

Good location but caution on additional charges in
Location is perfect. Private beach with boats and kayaks free of cost is nice. However, the management is not so friendly. We (5 rooms for 5 families) are forced to take a bigger room at extra cost siting only 2 adults per room and a kid cannot stay in the room due to their hotel policy. And the worst part is manager/owner saying pay the price or go somewhere else. Obviously, the manager knows last minute booking is going to be more expensive and hence forced us to pay extra money.. I've been travelling all over US and probably stayed for more than 1,000 nights in the last 5 years and never heard a hotel manager or owner say, pay extra or go somewhere else. Initially, he said absolutely no rooms are available and then offered another room at no cost and one more room at additional cost.

You enter an establishment and demand more than you reserved, don't expect smiles. You were very rude and besides demanding a room for more guests than you reserved, we did as you admit, provide a room at no cost to try and accommodate. Please be fair when giving reviews. There are always two sides to every story.

Owners and staff very accommodating! great views!
When we arrived, we were upgrading to a large duplex to accommodate my whole family. The owners make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need at your fingertips. The beach area is very inviting and my grandchildren took advantage of the water toys, i.e kayaks, paddleboards and the like. There is a wonderful café with great coffees and sweets. All in all we will certainly return.

Lovely lakeside vacation
I loved the area and given similar places in our budget, we really stayed at one of the best places possible. I read many reviews before we stayed in the area. We too had a little "snafu" after arrival but they went above and beyond to upgrade us and make us feel welcome. I didn't have noisy neighbors. Everything was clean and in good repair. Everyone was very friendly--staff and guests. I liked that we had the lake experience without being surrounded by people like closer to the village. I'd definitely stay here again.

100% honest review
Ive been to enough hotels to know that the balance between affordable and clean is tough to achieve. i believe my review to be objective and unbiased. We stayed at the villas during americade bike week. Everything was amazing. The rooms were affordable and spacious with a fully stocked kitchen with a fridge and stove and a cute living area. They turned the ac on before we arrived so that the room would be cool for us. And the room was so clean! No disgusting carpets with mystery stains, all wood floors. The staff was amazing and super accomidating. We had a trailer with 2 motorcycles and the parking lot was on a hill, which would have made things difficult, but the staff was more than happy to come out and help. They went above and beyond and i would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone. Ps please dont mind our clutter in these photos haha.

Old furniture uncomfortable and small room and tiny bathroom. Thin thin old towels; thin walls in the room. Dishes not clean. Not worth the money.
