We wish you would have voiced to us the issue with the pillow as we do have other types and we try to have a softer and harder pillow on each bed, but at times they get mixed around unfortunately. We would've been happy to find one for you though. Regarding the price, we feel we're extremely competitive given our location and the season, especially comparing to some of the surrounding, unrenovated properties. Also, our prices change based on availability so because you booked on shorter notice, for a weekend when we had limited availability, the prices were higher than if you had booked farther in advance. We're delighted that you followed through with your threat of giving us an unsubstantiated low review score, and that we have the ability to shed some truth on the matter. The fact that you did not include any description of your issue and you only left a low number score actually speaks volumes and adds to the validity of the description below. When you booked the room, you immediately received an email regarding our check in process and stating that we are contactless and utilize the cell phone provided on the reservation to text you the check in code. You chose to provide a cell phone that you did not want to use in the USA. If that was the plan, then one would've surely called the property once our check in email was received, in order to update the phone information. When you arrived at our location, after our office was closed (our office hours are clearly posted on this platform), you were frustrated that no one was in the office to check you in. Well, had you chose not to ignore our emails and policies, then you would have been able to easily access your room, like every other guest this season.Once in your room, you asked where the king bed was, but you only booked a room with 2 double beds, and not a king bed. You then stated that you had never seen beds this small before but I know for a fact that they do have double beds in Canada. Also, you stated that our rooms look nothing like the pictures on this platform. That is another completely false statement as our pictures look exactly like our rooms and even slightly to a less extent in our opinion. Lastly you demanded a refund or you would post a negative review and alas, here we are since we did not indulge and provide you a refund for your own nescient behavior and for you ignoring our policies, procedures and room description.

Thanks for your review. We removed the coffee makers that we typically have in those rooms this year and we've posted that online as well as in the information email that we sent you 2 weeks prior to your arrival so that shouldn't have been a surprise. The TV does not require instructions, just push the "on" button on the remote. Occasionally, the TV's go through a software update that require an adjustment, which was the case in your situation, but once we know about that, it's easily solved in seconds, like was done when you notified us. Your suggestion about a reading light for the chair is a good one and we will consider that this off-season. Our pillows and mattresses are only used 4 months per year and are only 1-2 years old. While we've tried to obtain items that are universally pleasing to everyone, those are definitely 2 items that can be guest specific and hard to meet every guests preference.
