Great cabin
We had a great time staying at this cabin. It had pretty much everything we needed already there, and the hosts even provided a bottle of wine for us. Lots of space, nice covered porch with a gas fire pit, lots of trees. Excellent communication from the host. Grocery store, great selection of restaurants, etc. within a 25 minute drive. Would definitely stay here again!

Delightful Cabin in the woods
We needed to escape the Florida summer heat. This cabin did the job. Resting at nearly 4,000 feet elevation, the August nights were cool and the days were pleasant. The cabin had everything one could want, and the owners' special attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Very clean and well maintained. And....a paved driveway for easy access up the hill. I'm coming back for sure.

Very nice!
This cabin was nice and cozy, great location and the owner provided lots of information in advance and went out of their way with some thoughtful extra touches. Kitchen was stocked with all necessities and very nice pots, pans and utensils. Overall the cabin was comfortable and we look forward to returning on another trip.

Like staying in a Christmas card
We went for get a way to get away from work and busy south Florida . It was lovely , quiet , not far from town , 35 mins depending the way you go . Beautiful falls close by . We plan on returning.

Quiet Time
If you’re looking to get away from everything, this is the place. Had everything we needed to relax and enjoy being away from normal daily life. Cabin was clean and very well stocked. No issues with cell service or internet. So quiet. All we ever heard was wind or rain.

Relaxing and enjoyable
We went to the mountains for a little get away. This “nest” was perfect. It had everything we needed and more. We weren’t real familiar with the area and wanted to do some exploring so this was perfect. We went to dinner in Highlands, antique shopping in Franklin, spent a little time visiting Cashiers and went to a winery in Rabun Gap, GA.

Very clean to our high standards and comfortable high quality furniture. The little touches: coffee in the cabin, materials for s’mores, bottle of wine, abundant towels, kitchen very well equipped and with necessary supplies, bed excellent. Hosts were very kind, provided us with knowledge of the area, and were readily available. Hope to return in the near future.

Perfect Fall Getaway
We loved this cabin! Very secluded and quiet, all the comforts of an upscale home tucked in the woods. The turning leaves were a real plus! Enjoyed s’mores by the wood fire and wine and cheese by the cute fire pit on the porch. Kitchen fully equipped to prepare gourmet meals, which we did several times. Loved using the gas range top and cast iron pans to add to the casual mountain ambiance. Beautifully decorated in every way, nothing missing for a perfect mountain getaway. Thank you Billy and Bonnie for providing such a beautiful cabin!

Very Special Retreat
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by enjoying a very special experience at The Nest. We really appreciate Billy and Bonnie sharing their 'luxury cabin'. If you're considering a comfortable get away near Cashiers, please take a look at this property. You won't be dissappointed.

Perfect place to get away.
Nested on Taylor Creek was so nice. We were welcomed with wine and a s’more basket of goodies. We were there for an anniversary trip and it was so nice to sit and rock on the front porch and let the worries slip away. They think of the extras to make the stay there special. Give it try you’ll not regret it.

Perfect cozy retreat
We needed a break from the coastal heat and booked a last minute getaway. Upon arrival we felt immediately relaxed and cooled off. The property is immaculate, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable and only regret we couldn’t stay longer. Communication was great and all info on care of the property was detailed and simple to follow. Highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway.

Incredible Experience
Our stay at "Nestled on Taylor Creek" could not have been better. The cabin is not only beautiful, but has anything you would need or want for your stay. We loved the little extra touches that the owners, Billy and Bonnie went through to be so welcoming. Upon arrival, they had for us a complimentary bottle of wine and ingredients to make samores, which we thoroughly enjoyed by the fire pit. You can really tell they take pride in their cabin retreat, and have thought about every little thing to make their guests feel most welcome. We cannot wait to be able to stay there again.

Very relaxing and great time at this property
The owners did a great job in communicating with us. They told us of different places to visit in the area. The waterfalls in this area are amazing! The house was very clean and decorated beautifully. They left us a welcome gift, which was very nice. The kids enjoyed the property. Just a wonderful house/property. Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to get away for some peace and quite.

Advertised as a Cashiers Cabin but was 25-30 minute drive from Cashiers and 35-40 minute drive to Highlands. Wife left disgusted after one week.

This is our second tile at the cabin. We absolutely love it. Quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, beautiful trees and close enough to waterfalls and hikes. One of our favorite places!!!

Beautiful cabin in the woods
We loved the cabin. It has everything you need and close to many things. Keep in mind this is mountain close, where 7.5 miles means 25 minutes. But we visited Franklin, Highlands and surrounding areas. It was great!

Anniversary adventure and exploration
This cabin is a find! Not only is it nestled in a beautiful part of Jackson County, the owners have thought of every little detail to make it a 5 Star experience. From the throws and woolen blankets to bundle up with in front of the fire or outside at the firepit, to the coffee and hot chocolate bar, s’mores fixings and bottle of wine - WELCOME HOME - is the feeling that permeates the visit. Once we got the lay of the land, we easily explored the fabulous trails, waterfalls and nearby communities. The printed guide book our HOSTS provided in the cabin, took the guesswork out of everything from trail directions to restaurant recommendations. This is the perfect cabin with fabulous outdoor and indoor spaces. Our only disappointment, we were so busy exploring the ‘outdoors’, we didn’t spend enough time ‘at home’ in the cabin. Guess we’ll need to plan another trip back to Taylor Creek.

Perfect Mountain Get Away - Super Clean and Has everything you need
This is an amazing property in a great location. The owners have amazing personal touches to the property which made the stay that much better. The house if beautifully decorated, great layout, peaceful mountain setting. The house was so clean, it had everthing you need and then some. We will be back often. One of the best! Thank you!

Great getaway!
The cabin was cozy and very inviting! The decor and amenities left for guests (wine, s’mores kit, coffee, toiletries, etc) made me feel right at home. As others have said, the gravel road getting there is a bit rough driving on, but the cabin is worth it. The hosts were very very helpful and great at thorough communication about anything and everything. The details they provide for the cabin were spot on and helped ensure you knew exactly what to expect.

Winter Getaway
This property is comfortable and cozy. The furnishings were very nice, beds comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, even had an Instantpot! We enjoyed sitting by the gas fireplace. Billy, the host, was great. When the threat of a icy winter storm was in the forecast, he kept us well up to date. We plan to return!

Perfect but Allergy Beware
The cabin was clean, comfortable, and met all needs for relaxing. There is only one thing to beware of: for anyone allergic to scents - perfumes, colognes, etc. - notify owner so that hopefully they will remove air fresheners and air out cabin day before arrival. We had to unplug the air fresheners from 3 outlets, open both doors and several windows, then wait outside in the cold of February for 2 hours to air out cabin. Otherwise, it was perfect.

Winter Wonderland!
What a beautiful mountain cabin!! So quaint and cozy!! The cabin was especially wonderful with fabulous Christmas decorations, done in great taste, in each room! The decorative lights outside also added to the cozy cabin feel!!! We were especially excited about the snow that arrived and felt well taken care of with the owner keeping close contact about the weather and access to a neighbor who had a back up generator in the event that the power went out. We loved the cozy fireplace and sitting around playing games that were available in a large basket. Each room is comfy and the beds slept great!! The cabin is well stocked and extremely clean. We made dinner each night and enjoyed the quaint table. A nice surprise was the basket of “s’mores” makings and a bottle of wine that were on the table when we arrived! This rental is exceptional!! One of our top favorites! 5 stars is not enough! The owner is quick to respond and super in answering any question. We definitely want to plan a trip back!!!!!

We spent an amazing white Christmas at this cabin. It was well equipped and beautifully Christmas-decorated, lots of details to make our stay pleasant. Billy (the owner) was very kind and always available for us. We were very lucky to have a lot of snow, our boys enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommended!

Awesome Cabin, Beautifully Decorated and Extremely Clean!
This was the perfect location for us to spend quality time together and get away from the day-to-day tasks which demand so much of our attention. The cabin was extremely clean and had excellent amenities! Mr. & Mrs. Ruffin were excellent hosts and provided very helpful information. So thankful for such a nice place to stay. COZY MOUNTAIN RETREAT
This cabin is A Plus in every way. Updated, well equipped kitchen and baths - Clean from top to bottom and quite comfortable. Just be aware that the road leading to the cabin is dirt, quite narrow and the driveway is very steep. Overall the cabin is worth the trip!

GREAT REMOTE COTTAGE
The cottage is as described in the listing. Everything was very nice and comfortable. This is the best stocked place we've ever stayed, even down to all the supplies for s'mores at the fire pit!! EVERYTHING we could have asked for. Only downside for us was it's location. It is very remote, a little bit too far away from any towns and restaurants. But if you like remote, this is the place for you! We loved it!

Perfect Mountain Weekend!
Our stay in this log cabin in the woods was wonderful from start to finish! It was very clean and exactly as described. The living space was comfortable and we spent our mornings and evenings around the fireplace! The cabin is close to High Falls (strenuous hike, beautiful waterfall), Lake Glenville (perfect picnic spot), Cashiers Village, and Whiteside Mountain (fairly strenuous 2 mile loop). The host was excellent with providing details and answering questions. I would highly recommend this cabin to family and friends.

A mountain cabin getaway
The property was excellent and just as advertised. It is quite remote--20 minutes from the nearest store down winding mountain roads. But it was worth it. The cabin was lovely and well-maintained. But it isn't for the driving skittish. The driveway itself snakes up a mountain hill. We are in our 70's but a few years from now we would have trouble negotiating it. We were happy to be there, but don't plan on running to a store. It's 20 minutes away on challenging mountain roads.

Clean and bright mountaintop cabin
Beautiful, bright, clean, charming cabin. Well stocked and immaculate. Owner very friendly, easy to communicate with. We used the BBQ pit and the fire pit and enjoyed sitting on the porch. We have AT&T and had no reception on the mountain, but the cabin has reliable WiFi and a variety of streaming TV options. Both beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Bathrooms very clean and well stocked. Lots of games the kids enjoyed, plenty of towels, extra sheets and blankets. They do have a land line phone if you need to make a local call. Location is up on a mountain - have to drive a bit to get to Highlands and Cashiers on some winding mountain roads. Peaceful and secluded. Very close to Lake Glenville. We spent time in downtown Cashiers and Highlands. We hiked Whiteside Mountain, went over to Gorges State Park and hiked Rainbow Falls. We did a family friendly white water rafting trip in Dillsboro, rented a boat on Lake Glenville. Don't miss Hidden Falls - a moderate/difficult hike right across the street from the Pines Recreation Area on Lake Glenville - the waterfall at the bottom of the hike is AMAZING - but the hike back up is tough! We did a short trail ride with Arrowmont Stables, which was very near the cabin. We drove to Brevard and did the famous (and freezing!) Sliding Rock and planned to hike Black Balsam Knob but rain prevented that hike. My older sons and husband did a private fly fishing half day trip with Brookings Anglers (we used the Cashiers location). We enjoyed an outdoor meal at the Whiteside Brewing Company in Cashiers and visited the farmers market, but mostly cooked at the cabin. We drove up to Cherokee for a day and visited the Indian Village - really beautiful in that area, and we were going to do a tubing trip but the rain prevented that. Don't miss scenic Hwy 64 near the cabin - with a string of waterfalls right off the road including my sons' favorite: Bust Your Butt Falls. Overall a peaceful and rejuvenating week for our family. Lots of relaxation along with plenty of beautiful outdoor activities. We were very easily able to socially distance and still enjoy the area.

The Epitome of Relaxation
My husband and dear friend decided to get away for July 4th. We needed to unwind and decompress from the day to day and this was the perfect place to accomplish that. The location is perfect; close enough to town, but far enough away to get some peace and quiet. We highly recommend this cabin and will definitely be back soon!

Looking for a mountain getaway, that’s minutes from waterfalls, lakes, restaurants, and shopping? This is your place! Super quiet, private, quaint, CLEAN, and just what we needed. Everything was well thought out and we never once got the “rental” type of vibe while staying here, not to mention, the communication between the owner and the renter was on point. We highly recommend staying here If you’re looking for a mountain spot that’s close to so much!

Exceptional property, getaway and experience
Living in Florida, we cherish our mountain vacation getaways and always spend quite a bit of time looking for the perfect cabin. We found it. The owners of this property genuinely care about their guests' experience. The cabin is immaculate, luxurious, comfortable and private. We enjoyed the view from the wrap around porch, especially while drinking our morning coffee and deciding what sort of adventure to get in to that day. There are lots of options as this cabin is centrally located. It's about a 25 minute scenic drive to some of the best hiking trails in the region, shopping, restaurants and brewpubs in Highlands or Cashiers, as well as skiing in Sapphire. After a full day, it was fun cooking dinner in the their well equipped kitchen or on the gas grill and then kicking our feet up and watching tv in front of the fire place. We really appreciated all the nice touches and details that were thought of which helped make our vacation at Nestled on Taylor Creek one of our more memorable trips. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
