So glad you enjoyed your visit even though the weather wasn't ideal. On rainy days we often recommend: Newport Mansion Tours, Wine Tasting, Spa Days, the Thames Glass Blowing Workshop, exploring the Newport Car Museums (2), sampling the 3 microbreweries in Bristol, visiting the Herreshoff Marine Museum, and of course enjoying fabulous coastal dining with waterfront views. Narragansett Bay is rich with sea life and you'll often find large collections of shells on the Bristol Town Beach. The sand levels shift back and forth with the seasons and storms, but having water shoes can be helpful in some areas. Thanks & Cheers!

So glad you liked the outdoor equipment --- our guests are always welcome to use our backyard gear (i.e., Cornhole, Bocce Ball, Ladder Ball & badminton), beach gear (i.e., Paddle Ball, beach chairs, clamming rake & bucket, inflatable lounge chairs & inner tubes) and our sporting equipment (i.e., 5 adult bikes, tennis rackets, volleyball & basketball) at the Bristol Town Beach & Sports Complex which is just a block away at the end of the adjacent street. Cheers! * Note for future renters: unless it's high tide, the easiest way to access the beach is through the backyard -- just walk down the steps from the waterfront deck directly to the sand. If it's high tide, there is a convenient little path about 50 feet away at the end of the street that takes you directly into the Bristol Town Beach & Sports Complex.

So glad you guys enjoyed your time in Bristol! We are also bigs fans of the beautiful East Bay Bike Path near our home that runs 14.5 miles from downtown Bristol to India Point Park in Providence. We definitely encourage our guests to take advantage of the bikes (with helmets & locks) that we keep in the basement. We are looking forward to having you back in the future!

Next time you should consider a little day trip (or even an overnight visit) to the Rose Island Lighthouse. Quite a unique & fun experience. Day trip ferries leave from Jamestown.
