The property has potential to be good. The grounds and hotel look nice and it’s not too far out of the way from the main tourist area. However, the overall stay was poor for the following reasons. Firstly, upon arrival we were told that the hotel was closed. There was no hotel staff with the exception of a few men that were tending to the grounds. The owner did not realize that there were guests arriving on that day. In any case he made an exception and allowed us to stay. Secondly, the property is gated which can be good for safety. However, as we left the property and came back after dinner and another occasion the door would be locked. This meant we had to shout for around 5 minutes and knock for someone to hear and let us in. Thirdly, the breakfast was good. Though that being said, after coming down and checking the kitchen the next day to let them know we were going to eat out we found that they hadn’t washed any of the utensils and cleaned the area to get ready to cook again. Lastly, there was no apology for any of the inconveniences and a lack of understanding that what was happening should have been looked at as unacceptable. Overall, the hotel can be great. They just need to change some practices. Good luck!

C’est un endroit superbe, agréable et, le proprio et son équipe sont au petit soin. Même si la langue peut être une barrière avec le personnel, ils sont tellement centrés sur le client qu’on réussit toujours à se comprendre. Le proprio fait tout pour faciliter nos sorties, visites et randonnées.

Oasis in Agra
We were so happy with our stay. It was secure, safe, clean. God food and extremely reasonable. It was a welcome relief after trekking in Nepal for a few weeks .

AMAZING STAY AT YECHU!
The stay was amazing, the owner was so kind and the staff was so helpful. The breakfast was very nice and i highly recommed staying here in Bhaktapur

Not perfect but probably best in area
Hotel exterior, grounds, lobby and restaurant are well-maintained, attractive and clean. Hotel located in quieter area. Breakfast was great - made to order with lots of options like eggs, bacon, pancakes, beans, toast, honey. Coffee was great. Pool was not ready for use at the time. Room interior a little disappointing. Beds were basic comfort. One extra pillow brought smelled of urine. Small but adequte bathroom. Plenty of hot water for shower. Reception provided kettle and cups upon request. Stayed 2 nights. Housekeeping forgot to clean room. Reception provides shuttle to old city sq. for nominal fee. Probably would stay there again.

Bhaktapur Oasis
The hotel is a beautiful oasis in a busy part of town. The building feels like a mansion. Our room was air conditioned with lots of space, free-wi-fi, cable TV, and clean. The food was simply OK. We had better food in the square. The service was most excellent. The manager walked us to Durbar Square (a mile) and gave us a tour within the square. They offered free transportation to the square too. We preferred to walk, and once you leave the gate, you are fully immersed in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Excellent hotel with excellent service
At first, you are not sure if you are in the right place. There is only one sign indicating the hotel, on the main street, but the rest looks more like a private property (which it is, in fact, as the hotel has been built next to its owner's house). But from the moment you will be greeted by the manager to the moment you'll leave the place, you will get the best attention and will feel like at home in a traditionally built and decorated house, where attention has been given to every detail. The hotel is not located in the historic centre of Bhaktapur but this is actually a plus as (1) you avoid the noise and other nuisances of being in the city center, and (2) you are only 10mn away (walking) from the center, which allows you to walk and discover the "real" Bhaktapur and its people's everyday life, before entering the amazing historic center of the city. Thank you very much to the manager of Yechu Hotel who made our stay there extremely pleasant (even driving us to Nagarkot view point for sunset viewing and dinner). If you are interested in authentic singing bowls, the manager can also introduce you to the owner of the hotel, worldly renowned for his work. Hotel Yechu is definitely the best place we could have chosen in Bhaktapur!

Comfortable stay, Peaceful location
We stayed here for 1 night. Nice room, NIce staffs, comfortable bed, 24 Hour hot water, Free wifi, AC in room, delicious breakfast, Free toiletries, We loved this place. Will be coming back soon.

Top hotel-Homely environment.
Our stay at this hotel was excellent. We are treated as family members. Frindy staffs outstandng customer service. No problems with hot water, wifi and room heating. They even have free suttle service to/from BHAKTAPUR DURBAR SQUARE.

Best Hotel to Stay in Bhaktapur !
Very nice hotel in hustle and bustle city. Staffs are very accommodating and very informative about near by area. They have free transfer to/from Bhaktapur Durabar square anytime. I am fall in love with their ambiance. Highly recommended.
